I highly recommend watching the proportion video tutorial before jumping to this one <3
I know a lot of people like to free hand but I decided to make this demo for the ones that are not at that stage yet (which is also perfectly ok there's no rush uwu )
If you want to slowly let go off them:
You can gradually make the grids bigger, using negative shapes and proportions guides. Little by little you will stop needing the grid and be more confident in yourself.
Always remember practice is the key: drawing is a skill and if you learn to be gentle with yourself, if you give yourself the time to make mistakes you will see a bigger development then to not do it at all, because the fear of failing holds you back <3

ps. I lowered the music volume so my voice is heard more clearly do you prefer it like this, or with higher music?
