I know that I already decided not to get much involved with the universes that I will visit, so that I don’t develop some savior complex or anything like that. I’m free. Different from the Main Characters of the fanfics I read, there is no mission or condition that I need to complete before moving to the next world, just the cooldown of my ability.
So my life is not a ”fixfic”... BUT! If the rise of a “Final Boss” or an Apocalypse messes with my quality of life, then my hand will be forced, and I will act.
“...” Okay… I will admit that I kinda got a little attached to the Chan family.
And seeing that I kinda “acquired” the talismans that would become “plot devices” that would save them in the future, I kinda decided to help a little. There is also the fact that I completely fucked up with the “destiny” of Jackie meeting new characters like El Toro Fuerte and that woman thief, who would eventually become allies.
I can be cold and nonchalant, but I guess I still have a heart. Don’t know when that is gonna change though…
I have written plans that will fuck up a lot of good people in the universes I will visit in the future.
Seriously, I need to pick a line between good and evil…
“Or not…” I say loudly “Fuck it! I will be what I want and feel like at the moment. Moral Compass? More like… eh… Moral Clock? Because it will be pointing in different directions every second? Meh, I’m gonna find a better metaphor in the future.” I shrug
That is the beauty of my life… No hurry, no pressure.
If one day I am gonna stop some kids from bullying Naruto and years later I rip Kurama off his cold body… That is okay. Fuck it, I am a hypocrite. The ones that are not happy with me can try to kill me, too. Understandable.
Anyway, I will make the effort for peace… my peace of mind and peace in my life.
“Work today, relax tomorrow…” I teleport inside the temple in Japan and quickly grab an inconspicuous drum that is resting on an altar.
With this drum, I have all the Symbols of the Eight Immortals. Those eight common items are necessary to seal Shendu and his demon siblings.
In the cartoon, it was never said where the Pan’ku box was first found, but getting those items and studying in Uncle’s library, I was able to figure it out on my own.
I’m kinda smart…
“Everything in hand.” I pull the Pan’ku box from my inventory. It is a lamp-shaped item that I make float above my hand. “Because I know the location of all Portals, I don’t need to solve the puzzles and get the map. I just need to get there. Ah yes, there is that one… Ugh. Okay. I will need to make one puzzle.” No problem.
Now I’m at a crossroads… I can do everything on my own, or be the “help in the shadows”.
Another small thing that prevents me from getting too involved is that there’s a process to things, you know? The people from the worlds I visit have grown through the challenges, and my presence can mess this up. Maybe making them weaker than their “canon” counterparts.
It’s an annoying thing to balance… My very presence already messes things up, so I feel that I shouldn’t care, but in this situation… I would feel a little bad if the Chan Family dies in the future.
Seriously, at some point, I will stop caring about this. I am already feeling it.
“Well, I can simply never come back here and live with my ignorance… It’s all my choice.”
Ugh, so many moral dilemmas simply by existing. Such drag… But at the same time, I feel in my guts that I can’t ignore it just yet; it’s part of my growth. The only thing that may make me mature. I live with no responsibilities, after all.
“Meh, whatever… I have no time limit to anything… But I’m gonna deal with Shendu already.” I procrastinated for long enough.

My armored hand grabs Valmont’s head, for a second, I hesitate on what I’m about to do… This is a child’s show, you know? But then I remembered that this is reality. Rater-R. Valmont is a Crime Lord that deals with drugs and other shady shit, sooo…
FWOOSH
His head is instantly burned by a jet of fire coming from my palm. It’s okay, he didn’t suffer, I think… Despite death by fire being one of the worst possible, I incinerated his head pretty quickly.
“The Armor of the Eight Immortal…” Shendu, the statue, says in a hissing voice while staring at me after I killed his “business partner”.
“Having PTSD?” I smirk while walking to him “They are the ones that sealed you and your family, right?”
He doesn’t answer “You are the one with my talismans…”
“Yes, but they are mine now.” I don’t deny it. He can’t see them because they're beneath the armor, but I just used the fire of the Dragon Talisman.
“Give them to me, and I will fulfill your wishes.” Shendu offers, eyes shining
“Pfft! Hahahaha!” I laugh at his face “The fact that you jumped to bargain just proved that you are not confident in taking by force what is in front of you.” I don’t blame him. He is smart.
I have his talismans, and I’m wearing the armor made by the people he fears the most… Probably… Maybe he fears his siblings more because they are alive.
He is good enough to hold his anger, his eyes shining for a moment before he speaks calmly again “Join me. Only I can make full use of the power of the Talismans… In my hands, I will have the world, and then you can have riches, lands, women… More than any human ever had in the history of your kind.”
“And here I thought you would offer half of the world to me… Those Big Bads are getting stingy… is the inflation?” I mock. “Being honest, I thought about playing a little, faking allying myself to you and all that just to feel how it is, but it would be such a hassle. You are not worth the trouble; after all, you are nothing better than an art piece at the moment. A cool one, I admit… I dig in the oriental dragons theme…”
Suddenly, dozens and dozens of Shadowkahn rise from the shadows.
“Ah, c’mon, I just said that you are cool…” I smirk. From the corner of my eye, I saw the thugs from the Dark Hand running away, but I paid them no mind.
“Then I will take the talismans from your dead body.” Shendu declares. Now there is a crowd of Shadowkhan in this big room with us.
“Please, we both know that you lost.” I shake my head “Not even those Shadowkhan are yours… I think I will try to take them from you after I deal with you.”
There’s something surprisingly good about talking down to a villain of a cartoon that I used to watch. Like, this is a guy that I used to watch through a screen being a menace, and now I am the one looking down on him.
Wow, another joy of my travels~ And this is just some bullying… I ask myself how good it will be to face the big names.
Imagine a dramatic face-off with Darth Vader, feeling the guy’s aura… Oh boy~ That will be so cool!
Travelling the Omniverse is not only about collecting waifus. It’s about living those moments! Another epiphany… It looks so obvious now that I thought about that.
I guess my cautious nature kept me from seeing that sometimes doing things openly makes life more enjoyable.
But I also can’t become a dumb, strong head shonen Main Character, it’s not in my nature… Another proof that life is all about balance.
I am forced out of introspection by the shadow ninjas throwing shurikens at me. Hundreds and hundreds of ninjas star fly at me at incredible speeds… With my armor, I could tank it, but I decided to act cool while testing my control.

So I stop all of them less than a foot away from my body, like I have an invisible barrier around me… Pulling a Gojo. Unfortunately is not perfect because the shuriken are not stopped at an equal distance, some even really hit my body, but I discreetly push them away to keep my style points.
“Take it back.” I still need to make hand movement as a trigger, but the shurikens obey me all the same.
Whoosh Whoosh
I’m not able to make them spin again and simulate them being thrown by human hands, some are even thrown with their flat side pointing at the enemies, but they are shot with enough speed to hurt.
A good part of the Shadowkhan group was forced back, and I decided to attack. A part of me is curious about how many ninjas Shendu has on his shadow, but the bigger part wants to test my new trinkets.
I activate the Armbands of Shiva, and my arms double in number. From my hands, I shoot fire in four distinct directions while shooting lasers from my eyes.
And there it goes, half of the ninjas, destroyed. Better hold back a little.
“Come.” I taunt, crossing my upper arms while my lower hands go to my hips.
The ninjas jump at me, seeing my openings, but I’m too quick for them to explore any weakness.
A kick sends the ones in front of me away while I start fighting the rest with my four arms. Having extra limbs is really a great boost; there’s no way anyone can exchange attacks without being hit directly. They can’t defend or dodge all of them. An attack will slip and connect… and with my strength, I just need one attack.
Shadowkhan jumped in, and Shadowkhan was thrown out. It is easy like that.
At some point, I pull out the Opal of Anglee and put it on my upper left hand. The hits from it seem to hurt much more, sending the shadowkhan flying at scary speeds, and when I start blasting energy attacks like Megaman, it becomes much easier to clear the enemies.
I receive some hits here and there, but none hurt because I’m wearing my armor and the talismans.
“Okay, that is enough. Let’s end this.” I can even test how to use those items during a fight, but I will never know how really effective they are till I use them against someone really strong.
It’s pointless to play around with the shadowkhan. Let’s start beating them for real…
I pull the Three Wishes Keyblade from my inventory and dash forward while making an arc with the oversized key.
Ting Ting Ting
That distinct sound of the keyblade hitting the enemies echoes while the shadowkhan are staggered away.
Oh yes, Heartless from Kingdom Hearts are also shadow creatures… how fitting~
Some shadowkhan try to sneak on me… Dun, they are ninjas. Unfortunately for them, my blind spots are few, and if I spin around myself, they become almost non-existent. My arm with the Opal turns into a cannon and starts shooting the ninjas who want to sneak up on me or attack from a distance.
The world slows down a little - just a little because the Rabbit Talisman doesn’t give me a good Bullet Time - and I run around while hitting the shadowkhan on their heads.
Speed combined with strong weapons is a deadly combination; their head explode into dark smoke. Why don’t speedsters use knives again? Much better than doing punches that conveniently don’t defeat anyone unless the plot asks for it…
With one last 360 spin, I knock back the rest of the shadowkhan while shooting a stream of energy from the cannon, hitting them in the air.
“And to the surprise of zero people… I won.” I straightened myself slowly before turning to Shendu.
The dragon statue is very silent, and I can’t read his face because he is a statue, so I approach him slowly, paying attention to any last trick.
“Any last words?” I smirk, the grip on my keyblade tightening threateningly
“Just be done with it, you rat.” Shendu says hatefully
“Oh, prideful till the end? Nice…” I laugh and then put away the keyblade and the Opal. “But sorry, I’m not so dumb as to destroy your prison.”
“...” He doesn’t have expression, but I bet he is cursing me on his mind.
“You are gonna be a statue for a looooong time, dude.” I reach and touch him with my hand, let’s see if I can…
Oh! I can put him in my inventory! To check if I didn’t destroy him or anything, I bring him back.
“What is that?!” He asks, a little panic escaping from his voice.
“Hehe~” No need to answer, so I just store him away again. “If I knew that was possible, I would have done it on day one…”

Chinatown
I didn’t think that I would come to Uncle’s shop so early, but here I am.
I don’t hide, and I’m not even wearing the Armor of the Eight Immortal, just the Talisman belt beneath my shirt, the Eye of Aurora around my neck, and the Armbands of Shiva under my long sleeves.
I enter in the conventional way, no invisibility or super speed, I open the door, and the bell rings.
“Coming!”
I hear Jackie's voice, and I walk to wait at the counter. I bet he will make a very surprised face…
“!!!!” Exactly, hehe~ “Hector!” He immediately adopts a fighting stance, even grabbing something from the counter and raising it, ready to throw it at me.
“Peace, Jackie… Put the duster down.” I raise my hands in surrender while chuckling
“What are you doing here?” He doesn’t put the duster down and looks at the makeup and down suspiciously
“Just wanna talk to you guys about something important. A threat to the world…” I reveal dramatically
“You are the biggest threat to the world.” He shoots back
“Ouch… If I hadn’t had the Horse and Dog Talisman, I would be severely wounded by your words.” I put a hand over my heart dramatically “And let’s be honest, at this point you must have figured out that I am really not a real threat. Just a power-hungry guy collecting trinkets no one was using.”
“That was an oversimplification of what you are doing… You are stealing dangerous magical artifacts to who knows what.” Jackie counters my argument. “And there are a bunch of agents on Section 13 that would disagree with your words. A bunch of them are still Honey Badgers.”
“Oh shit, is the power of the Monkey Talisman still going? Wow. I thought it would wear off eventually… I let them that way as a test, you know? Do you really think is forever?” It can’t be infinite… But maybe… It’s magic, after all.
“That is not funny, Hector.”
“Tsk, they pointed guns at me. They had it coming. Self-defense.” I roll my eyes. “Don’t worry, I will remember to unmake the transformation in the future… at some point…” I will try…
Let's put it on the list, so that I don’t forget about them before jumping universes again.
“Anyway, hear me out for a second-” My explanation was cut short when someone attacked me suddenly.
“Haiyah!”

“Hyah!” Jade gave a flying kick with a very good execution, but zero damage
“What are you trying to accomplish, Shin Biter?” I look down at Jade kicking my legs continuously. She is gonna end up hurting herself.
“Beating a villain! That is what I am doing!” She shouts furiously while doing a spink kick at the back of my knee. Sorry, but my stance is pretty solid…
“Ouch again… The Horse Talisman is working overtime to heal me of all those wounds in my heart of glass.”
“Shut up, you liar!!” Jade starts kicking more furiously
“...” I just decided to ignore her and turn to Jackie. “As I was saying, there are great threats and-”
“What is all this noise?!” Now it’s Uncle time to interrupt, seeing me and gasping “Evil Disciple! Take this!!” Different from Jackie, he really threw what was in his hand, some sort of rock.
I catch the rock, now seeing that it’s probably a piece of some stone tablet because of the inscriptions on it, before sighing tiredly “Seriously, can’t we talk for a minute? Like… before the agents of Section 13 burst out that door and interrupt me again??”
“......” The three look at each other before eventually nodding.

Now, sitting around a small table, we can finally have a talk. “Geez, you are so cold… It was just a little treachery…” I try to break the ice, but they only give unimpressed looks.
“You are stealing the talismans while we are moving around looking for them desperately.” Jackie comments in a reproachful manner
“Well, I got most of them on my own, but whatever… You are free to hate me; let’s talk about something else.” I decided not to comment on the lack of tea for guests. Resuming everything by a lot, eight demons will eventually become a danger to the world. Shendu is one of them. I can deal with most of them, but I want to inform you of this and leave Shendu to you guys because I don’t want him to go back to his siblings.”
“You are talking about the eight Demon Sorcerers banished to the netherworld by the Eight Immortals, the ones that made the armor you stole.” Uncle completes with an accusation in the end.
“ ‘Acquired’, but yes, those… The thing is, apparently, enough time has passed, and now the Demon Sorcerers can be released.”
“WHAAT?!?” Uncle exclaims loudly “Is that Shendu’s final plan? That's why you told Jackie to research him?!”
“More or less… I don’t believe Shendu would be so keen on releasing his siblings and dividing the Earth with them in case he regained his powers through the talismans, but it is a possibility.” I answer
“And how would you know what Shendu would do?” Jackie asks suspiciously
“Well…” Slowly, I extend my hand sideways, in a different direction from them, to not raise suspicion, and then I make Shendu appear.
“You wretch!! Release me at this instant!!” The dragon statue doesn’t waste a second before it starts shouting at me, so I put it away again.
“That… I captured him after dealing with the Dark Hand. Did you see the slots to the talismans around him? That is why he needs them to regain his powers, especially the Rat Talisman. That will never happen now, so I plan to give him to your guys… prepare a way to seal him, Uncle. And Jackie should contact Section 13 to find a place to keep him isolated. The most annoying part about him is the fact that he can control the Shadowkhan, so we really need to make him ‘sleep’ or something like that.”
“And why are you acting all good now?” Jade is the one suspicious now, crossing her small arms and giving me a side glance with narrowed eyes
“Because it would be in my best interest for this world not to end… You know, I live here.” Momentarily.
“Maybe you are gaining something from it…” Jade accuses
“Hehe~ Good girl, that is the way. Distrust everyone, especially if they broke your trust before.” I ruffle her hair proudly
“Stop that, you villain!” she struggles, but I’m faster.
“Little lesson, Jade. People are moved by interests, if you know what people want, you can udnersta them, predict their moves, and even manipulate/control them.” I give her some advice. “Few are the ones that are genuinely nice and altruistic, but that is just a different form of interest.”
“Don’t go teaching her this weird stuff.” Jackie protests, pulling Jade from me like she is gonna catch something
“Just imparting some wisdom.” I raise my palms innocently
“That doesn’t matter now! Let’s deal with the Demon Sorcerers!” Uncle finally stands up and exclaims
“But the talismans..” Jackie starts
Thwack “The talismans are not important!” Uncle says after hitting his forehead, “The fate of the world is at stake. We can’t allow not even one of the Eight Demon Sorcerers to return.” And he hits Jackie's forehead with two fingers again.
Hehe, at least I don’t need to go through that anymore.
“Evil Disciple, help me get my things!” Uncle shouts, already walking up the stairs
“Eh… I’m kinda not on your guys' side in the general… so… I don’t need to do it…” I say slowly
“Shut up and come!”
“...yes, sir.” Whatever.
While we are moving upstairs, the shop was suddenly raided by agents; they all appear in tactical gear and point their guns at me.
“...” I stop, completely unafraid.
“Don’t move!” Agent Black is the one not wearing a helmet, so I recognize him.
“Stop that!” Uncle comes down again, waving his hands in front of the guns “Out Out! We are dealing with serious business here! You can’t arrest him!”
“But… but the talismans…” Black tries to say
“The Talismans are not important!” Thwack
“Yeah, dude. Let it go. Geez. Water under the bridge, bygones be bygones… Don’t hold down into this resentment…. You can’t look in the future if your eyes are turned to the past.” I nod with a teasing smirk.
Jackie steps ahead before my ragebaiting can take effect and talks with Black.
“Sorry, Black, but the circumstances changed. There is something more dangerous out there, and it takes precedence over the talismans.” Jackie speaks democratically.
“Just bring him up so that we can explain.” I said before walking upstairs while waving at the agents

“Demons? Immortals?” Black asks in a disbelieving tone
“You literally saw small rocks that give people’s magic powers, I don’t know why the cynicism now?” I scoff
“...” Black stares at me like I hurt his agents or something… Or wait…
“Here!” Uncle comes back holding a thick book that he opens on his study table. We all get closer to looking at it. “This shows the eight Demon Sorcerers and the respective immortals that used their Taoism to seal them. Each one used a common item as a symbolic relic to channel their chi.”
Uncle traces his fingers on the images that show eight figures using a stream of good chi on demonic figures and the eight items in the middle. “We need the three things to keep the seal active… The eight common relics, know the location of the portals and the Pan’ku box.”
“This is more than three things… If there are eight…” Jade comments, but is interrupted
“Three types of things!” Uncle exclaims before continuing “The Pan’ku box is the most essential and-
“I have it.” I interrupt him and put the Pan’Ku box on the book.
“...” They look at the box and at me, and then at the box and at me again.
“What? I told you guys that I was mostly ready…” Weirdos “I also have the eight relics and know the location of the portals…” I shrug, “I really just need Uncle to seal Shendu’s statue and ask if it needs anything more to seal the portals.”
“It indeed needs more than simply the relics and the Pan’Ku box… The incantation needs to be said to evoke the good magic of the relics, and they need to go through a ritual before.” Uncle raises a finger to explain “It will also be dangerous because the portal will open during the sealing, like changing the lid of a teapot.”
“I can deal with demons if they try to leave.” I say. A good camper can attack the moment they poke their heads out.
“And have you solved the puzzle of the Pan’ku box?” Uncle asks
“Yep, it’s easy. The answer is in the Eight Trigrams that represent the demons…” I take out the Pan’ku box to explain “A unbroken line means a vertical half-turn and a broken one means a horizontal quarter-turn.”
I do three horizontal quarter-turns, the simplest one puzzle, and the box is open to show a hologram. “See, the portal of the Earth Demon, Dai Gui, is in Spain.” I explain
I put the box away again and say to all of them “Get the magic ready, Uncle. Tell me if you need anything for the seal. I will come back later. In the meanwhile…”
I use the Eye of Aurora to teleport to a certain location.
It doesn’t take long for me to reach an open space where people are preparing a festival.
I jump close to a refrigerated truck, ignoring the shouts of surprise around me, and use my telekinesis to open the doors.
Inside, rows of pies are kept in a perfect state for a competition.
“I hate wasting food, but from my perspective, it's kinda infinite in the Omniverse, and is not like this is going to starving children or anything.”
One by one, I pull the pies to my hand and squeeze them before throwing them over my shoulder. “Kitty, Kitty~ Pss pss pss pss.”
My luck is average, so only when half of the stock was destroyed that I felt something amid the soft food.
I grin widely. “I don’t know how you got there…” My fingers are dirty with frosting, but I still hold the last Talisman tightly. “But welcome home, Tiger Talisman.”
Hm, should I split myself just for shit and giggles? I’m kinda curious about my evil version.
“...nah.” Too risky.
After using water from a bottle I had in my inventory, I cleaned the talisman and put it in the central slot of my belt, on the belt buckle.
That is the talisman of balance. The active power divides the user into good and evil, but the passive ability is to balance the powers of the talismans and probably good and evil chi inside my body.
The moment that I put it in place, I feel something “click”, it’s like the gears of the workings of my talismans are rusted, and finally, something cleaned and put some oil on them.
I know that the powers can be used much more easily now, and it will be even easier to combine. Like maybe controlling the fire of the Dragon Talisman with the telekinesis to use more creative attacks.
“Game over.” I declare my victory to myself. Now, it’s time to deal with those side quests without a reward.

Some days later
“The spell is ready.” Uncle announces to me after I return to the Antique shop.
“What surprise that the words Yo Mo Gui Gwai Fai Di Zao…” I roll my eyes while saying sarcastically
Thwack This guy still dares to hit me??
“It is a very useful incantation! You don’t change what is not broken!” He says to me Like I’m still his student. “The preparation that changed, like a soup recipe. I already enchanted all the Common Items. You can go seal the portals, and then we'll seal Shendu for good. In deep sleep.”
“Good. Finally…” I take the Common Items back and get ready to finish this bullshit.
“Remember the words!” Uncle warns me
“I know, I know…” I waved him off. “Do you have everything to seal Shendu already?” I retrieved some items for him, but I want to make sure because I’m about to pull a dick move.
“Yes.” he nods
“Okay, then you don’t need this anymore. Yoink.” I use my telekinesis to steal the Archive of Demon Magic, the book with some spells from the Demon Sorcerers, and the same one with the Symbol of the Shadowkhan image of the mask that Jade tattooed on her body and allowed her to take control of the shadow ninjas.
“Evil Disciple! Give it back!”
“Sorry, but I need some compensation~ Bye bye!” I laugh while teleporting away
In another place, I look at the book and go through some pages carelessly before putting it away. “Let’s see what I can learn from it… But first, I have work to do.”

Meta-knowledge is really one of my greatest assets.
It will carry me till I’m strong enough to be irrelevant, and now it is allowing me to do a speedrun of an entire season of Jackie Chan Adventures.
“Don’t be like that, Magic Carpet. It’s just that I want to use the Eye of Aurora while I can.” I try to placate the flying carpet, but he turns his ’face’ away from me. “C’mon… I bet you didn’t even feel the time passing. But okay, sorry… Let’s fly again, and I promise to fly with you constantly.” It’s like taking a dog on a walk.
“...” It continues to face away.
“...pleeease~” I extend my hand
“...” Oh, it is hesitating.
“How about a little flying mission around the planet to save the world?” I smile
“...” Whoosh Suddenly it flies beneath me and sweeps me off my feet before taking off while carrying me.
“Hahaha! That is what I’m talking about! Go, Magic Carpet! First stop… let me see… Japan!” And the carpet speeds up.

A huge portal slowly opens in this castle courtyard. The orange and yellow swirl inside the green frames.
At this particular portal, I will wait a little to test something.
Po Kong, the Mountain Demon, is the biggest and slowest of the eight siblings, so I just want to see how things work with the easiest target.
It takes more time than expected for a giant green hand to appear from the portal, holding on to the edges to pull herself.
“Yo Mo Gui Gwai Fai Di Zao.” I don’t waste more time, retrieving the Drum, the sealing object of the Mountain Demon, I chant.
The drum lights up and shoots a magic ray at the portal, and forces the hand back before closing it for good.
“I see…” I jump on the back of the magic carpet and speed up. I will not even leave the carpet now. “The next place is high, but I need to solve the puzzle.” I say to the carpet for him to stay in the sky
The location of Tso Lan, the Moon Demon, is not clear. He is also my favorite and probably the strongest demon. Like… gravity?
I will choose him second to deal with him before the Demon Sorcerers in the Netherworld figure out what is happening.
“One broken line… one unbroken line… one more broken line…” I turn the Pan’ku box as instructed, and a hologram of the location of the Portal of the Moon Demon appears.
Damn, it’s higher than I expected… Almost out of orbit.
Luckily, with the Hercules Method, I can hold my breath for a long time and not freeze. The talismans and Armor of the Eight Immortals will help, too.
I take the item to seal Tso Lan. “It is even a lotus, my favorite flower… Best Demon Sorcerer.” Sometimes you just click with a character.
