Eidolon P.O.V.
I’m getting used to being important. It took some time for me to get used to this reality. After all, from my initial perspective, all those named characters are the important people, the celebrities… while I’m just a fan who got lucky.
Well, that is in the past now.
Thanks for the first step I took during the invasion, and everything I did afterward, I’m more than a fan now, even more than a named character… I’m at the same level as the iconic ones, like Spider-Man and Superman, and the rest of the “OGs”.
I don’t particularly like fame, but it's good to have a big reputation and all the associated credibility. It gives weight to my words… and actions too.
I have to remember that. With the small advantage of being famous - who cares about this? - I also have a lot of expectations weighing on my shoulders. Duties and responsibilities that, if I stayed in the shadows helping, I would not have.
But then my impact would be much smaller…
That is why I graciously refuse the drink that a nervous and excited Alison Blaire offers me as I step into her living room.
“Oh-eme-gee! Eidolon is in my living room!” Alison, aka Dazzler, looks around in panic “Ah shucks, this place is a mess!”
‘Oh-eme-gee’? ‘Shucks?’ She talks funny…
“Eidolon, don’t mind the mess!” She scrambles to grab some clothes fast and throws them out of my sight
“It’s fine… I’m the one who came without warning.” I wave her concerns off
“Thanks…” She smiles brightly at me before her face morphs, and she shouts to the side “LILA! WAKE UP! WE HAVE A VISIT!!”
“FUCK THE VISIT!!” Someone answer from somewhere in the small apartment
“DON’T SAY THAT!” Dazzler shouts back before turning to smile at me again. “She is not a morning person, hehe~”
“As I said, it is my fault for the inconvenience.”
“Oh no, no. What inconvenience? You are also welcome!” She speaks fast “You saved us from the Mojo World, and we will be eternally grateful! By the way, sorry for not thanking you enough at that time. We did not understand all the details… that you really went all out of your way to save us, and that you are a global hero.”
And here is the hero worship… Not that I blame her for not profusely thanking me when I saved her and the others. There are thousands of people that I saved that day, and I didn’t even directly save her.
But her attitude is completely different now that she has the whole context and knows who Eidolon is… Again, not that I blame her or think that she is shallow. I’m just getting used to it.
“Just doing my part…” I say humbly “And are you adapting?” I ask
“Ah yes, it has been difficult in the beginning, but it absolutely got easier.” She says with some relief. The only contact I had with her was a brief meeting to check for any foreign objects or diseases in her body before finding her relatives.
Dazzler was in the Mojo World for almost two years, just after High School. From her perspective, the opening chapter of her adult life was stolen from her. Her friends moved forward to college, and she came back stuck in time.
“I’m glad to hear that, despite the time lost, it is not the end of the world, and I came here to talk about an opportunity…”
“Wait, this talk is getting serious, and I didn’t even offer you a seat!” She interrupts me with good intentions “Please, Eidolon.” She gestures to the couch.
I sit, and she follows to sit at my side despite the chair in front of me.
“Is this about my powers? Do you want me to be a hero? I get that you are this whole vibe about responsibility, but I don’t know if I’m ready yet, Eidolon.” She jumps the gun and starts talking “I haven’t even put my life back in the trails and-”
“Ms. Blaire, calm down. It is not about that. And I would never force you to take a role you don’t want.” It is my turn to interrupt her now.
“Oh, I see…” Now she sounds a little disappointed. Do you want to be a hero or not? Maybe she wanted me to ask…
“It also involves Lila Cheeney… Can you call her and say that it's important?” I ask
“Oh, of course!” She stands up fast and runs to disappear into a corridor. Even without my super-hearing, I can hear her quick steps.
Some seconds of silence later, I can hear the hurried steps again, and she quickly sits at my side like before.
“She is coming!” Dazzler smiles brightly
“Oh…” I nod. “So… You and Ms. Cheney decided to live together, huh?” I make some small talk.
“Oh yes, Lila and I became friends in the Mojo world, and it is pretty easy to keep in contact in this one. The fact that she also lived in Long Island helped, and it was also one of the reasons we became friends… and also the fact that we both like music!” She talks fast.
“That is nice… Something good comes from that, at least.”
“Yeah…” She replies weakly
I kept asking a little about her troubles and ways to help. Many people are like her and must be struggling now after I rescued them. I keep tabs on everyone, but a direct conversation is always the most enlightening way to gauge the circumstances of a situation.
It didn’t take long for the other resident walk into the living room…
Lila Cheney is the darkness to Alison Blaire's dazzle. I don’t know if they're really friends in the main timeline, but here they look like those stereotypical friends in Tv shows where one is super animated, sunny, and happy, while the other is all emo and grumpy.
Lila is slim when compared with Dazzler's more curvy figure. Her “punk” style is evident in her short and spiky black hair, piercings, and choice of clothes. I mean… she is not that well dressed, but I guess you can know a person by the way they sleep.
And Lila sleeps in a tight tank top and panties. Only that. Both black, by the way.
Dazzler's mouth falls open while she watches Lila groggily drag her feet in the living room, yawning and scratching her belly without acknowledging the presence of a male who is getting a view of her pierced nipples poking through her top.
“LILA!” Alison shouts with a wide yes
“What?” She replies, annoyed, then she finally turns her head to us and…
“!!!!” Yep, from the way her eyes are widening, I was right in guessing she didn’t know that I was here. “FUCK.ME.FROM.BEHIND!!!!” Then she runs away, almost tripping over the objects on the ground.
As the gentleman I am, I don’t stare at her tight ass, keeping my eyes on Dazzler.
“That is a strange salutation? Is she Slavic?” I joke
Alison turns to me in disbelief and then laughs, relieved that I am taking the strange occurrence in strike “Brooklyn, I guess.” She says back
“I must have guessed…”
While we're chuckling together…
“ALIIISONN!” Lila suddenly shouts from somewhere
“Well… Here it comes… I told her you are here, but her brain didn’t work in the morning…” Alison stands up while muttering under her breath, “Excuse me.”
I nod, and she goes with the cautious steps of someone entering a battlefield.
I really try not to listen, but they are not being subtle…
“Why the fuck didn’t you tell me fucking Eidolon was in our living room????” I hear Lila doing a very bad job of whispering. Hm, maybe I‘m eavesdropping because I‘m also hearing the sound of clothes being thrown and put away again.
“I told you, but you didn’t listen! I said: Lila, Eidolon is here and wants to talk with us.”
“Be more emphatic when talking about something like this! Don’t say it like the mailman delivered my package!”
“Do you want me to shout with him here? He will think we are weird!”
“We are weird! He is weird, too! His whole schtick is being weird!”
“No, his whole thing is that it is okay to be weird… weird is normal.”
“I will not debate his philosophical beliefs now. Next time, be more thoroughly on your explanation that someone is in our living room so that I don’t flash them!”
“You didn’t flash him.”
“No… Just almost poke his eyes with my nips.”
“Heh~, you don’t have enough to poke anyone’s ey-Ouch”
“Shut up, blonde bimbo.”
“Emo hoe.”
“...” Wow, they are really good friends…
I wait patiently with my legs crossed for them to settle their grievances and come back. Eventually, their hushed voice stops, and I can hear their footsteps approaching.
Lila is now much more presentable, even if she just added some loose pants and a small jacket to her outfit. I also noticed that Alison used her time to comb her hair a little.
“We are back~” Alison declares cheerfully while Lila eyes me with a indescriptible expression.
“Sorry for the inconvenience, Ms. Cheney.” I stand up and extend my hand to her. You can never be overly polite. If someone is rude or stupid enough to take politeness as weakness, that is their problem.
“Nah, it is cool…” She takes my hand while averting her gaze for a moment.
We all sit back, and this time I take the chair while the duo sits on the couch.
“I don’t mind if you wanna eat something first, Ms. Cheney.” I comment, but my words seem to make her uncomfortable and embarrassed.
Ah, I just saw her bad habits, and it was the first impression…
“I’m good… And call me Lila.”
“Okay.”
“Then call me Alison.” Dazzler adds
“Fine then… Alison and Lila, I have something to discuss with you two.” I make a dramatic pause for them to focus before continuing “Being direct, recently Tony Stark invited me to his Halloween party, and it seems it will have a lot of… fanfare. Not my style, but while he was animatedly explaining his plans about multiple singers and bands performing, I remembered you guys.” I point.
“An Avengers Halloween Party?” Dazzler asks excitedly
“Us?” Lila is already seeing where I want to get.
“Exactly what you are imagining. I remembered your past as performers in the Mojo World, and thought that maybe you - and other acquaintances of mine - would like to have the chance to showcase your honed skills. A chance of a debut in your home world.” I smile with my eyes before stopping. “I mean, if you guys want to follow the same career path…”
“...”
“...”
The two look at me with open mouths and then at each other, and then at me again…
“Do you want us to perform at the Avengers’ party?” Dazzler asks the obvious
“Exactly what I said. The timeline is a little short, but I believe you two must have some repertoire to use, no? If you accept, record the songs, and I will pass them to Stark. The final say will be his, and probably you will only have the chance to sing one or two songs… but it should be a good opportunity, right?”
“Absolutely!” Dazzler agrees, a smile appearing on her face “I… I… I don’t even know what to say… from where to start…”
While Alison was already dreaming about the opportunity, Lila still had her two feet on the ground.
“And why are you helping us with that?” She asks, eyeming me carefully
“Lila?! Duh, it is because he is a hero!” Alison turns to her, shocked
“Last I heard, heroes save people from fire and beat villains up. They do not play producers to people they don’t know.” Lila crosses her arms and looks at me defiantly
Alison looks mortified, not understanding why Lila is being rude, looking between the two of us.
I’m much calmer… My gaze is serene and unblinking as I maintain eye contact, guilty of nothing.
I will not take offense at people’s doubting me, if I did… Haha, I would be offended 24/7.
I could make a joke like ‘Girl, who hurt you?’ But it would hit too close to home. Lila Cheney is obviously someone that have been hurt a lot by life, and is now suspicious of everything.
I investigated her lçife even before her capture by Mojo. Let’s say she did not have a structured family to be proud of, and it is the reason she is living with Alison.
She also seemingly suffered much more under Mojo than Dazzler, who still keeps an upbeat personality.
It is because of Lila’s power… She can teleport. A much more useful power than the rest, so Lila is only half used by Mojo for entertainment… the other half of the time, he did some experiments on her.
Apparently, he kidnapped her primarily because of her power; he thought that it would be the key to expanding his reach… Not wrong, I can feel her teleportation has a loooot of untapped potential.
Too bad she was so unlucky that Mojo saw her using her awakening power and took her. Now she has some trauma and doesn’t use them anymore.
It is like a dog with a shock collar that can’t bark and is forced to stay in the same place without moving… it is sad.
My metaphor is not even a exxageration because to keep her under his thumb, Mojo indeed put her in something akin to a shock collar that would activate if she tried to use her powers.
I finally speak witha shrug “A hero’s job is to help other people in all the ways they can… And I can do more than punch people, Lila. I, indeed, want to help you two to put your talents to use…”
“...”
“But I confess that I also thought about the extra benefit… I do not want metas to be seen only as potential heroes and villains, linking them to military powers. I really want metas to appear in the most diverse fields and gain the admiration of the world as humans, too.”
“So you want us to be your poster girls…” Lila says half-accusatively
“No.” I shake my head. It kinda is, but the order is a little different. “I want you to be you. Do you know how many talented metas are forced to hide because of their status? You two know very well that if you want to get a career, you would need to hide your powers… Hide what you are.”
In canon, if I’m not wrong, Dazzler went like that, and eventually her powers were outed, and her fans turned on her. Very dumb, I would say… So what if the light show is made by her powers?
But I guess the people are being manipulated by Sublime and other Mutant-haters people.
“I want to give you guys the chance to begin as you are, without hiding… with my - and the Avengers' - backing. I want other metas see that it is possible to persevere and conquer their space in the world despite all that, to see that they have the same options and opportunities as everyone else.” I speak, my voice getting strong as I enter hero mode.
“......” My charisma must be high because they are latching onto every word like they are hearing the gospel.
“You two can be part of the first that will take this hard step… it will be difficult, it will have criticism, but you will not be doing it alone. You will have each other. You will have the others who will also be taking their steps in their respective fields… And you will have me.” I finish with the same intensity as my ‘I am here’.
“...”
“So… what do you say?” I extend my hand in a symbolic gesture.
They don’t even need to answer… I can see in their eyes that they already accepted.
‘Seriousl Master, never use your powers of seduction for evil…’ Cortana says with some humor in my head.
‘Please, such a good opportunity… They would have accepted anyway, I just came to make sure we are on the same page.’

The next one in the list is in South Korea.
Seol Hee, aka Luna Snow, is much more chill(pun intended) than the other two. She is no less excited about seeing me, happily squealing and all that, but she kept herself acting polite till we were sitting in her apartment.
“Hehe, Eidolon is in my apartment~ Can I ask for a picture?” The bicolor-haired woman suddenly stops. “It would be too much to ask for the picture on the balcony? It would be problematic if people see you in my home…” She says with a very apologetic smile, like she is overstepping.
I can understand the worries of an asian - more precisely south korean - girl who wants to become an idol. People around here are a little weird about keeping their celebrities ”pure”. It would be scandalous if people knew I was in her apartment; their minds would go straight to the gutter.
Before I can answer that it's alright, the third person in the living room responds with a grunt and an annoyed voice.
“Uuugghh, stop caring about what those losers would think!” Juri Han says, fully sprawled on the couch by my side, completely different from the prim and proper Seol Hee “If you start giving them an inch, they will be owning you forever!”
“She should be the one making the best decisions for her career.” I poke Juri’s forehead, making her look away with a pout. “And I didn’t know that you were friends with her…” I add accussingly. Imagine my surprise at seeing the two hanging around.
“Hmpf, just saved her from a stalker, and she latched on to me.” Juri says rudely, but the way Seol Hee is laughing without taking offense, it is probably their friendship dynamic.
“It is good that you finally got a friend…” “Hey!” “...but this is the kind of thing that I asked you to report to me.”
“I did!” She defends herself
“No, you did not. You just sent reports like you are texting friends, with so many emojis that it looks like a hieroglyphic wall. Not even my translating powers can understand what you mean.”
“Not my problem…” She huffs, unworried.
I narrow my eyes at her, and she must have felt that patience was beginning to be quickly dried by her, because she goes from rudely sprawled to sitting a little straight, stiff even.
“Do better.” I say simply, my voice calm and even. Not angry.
“Okay…”
I’m really surprised that from the 50 million people in South Korea, she stumbled upon one of the people of interest. Maybe my luck is working through my summons…
“Excuse me… report about me?” Seol Hee asks curiously
“Yes and no…” I reply, turning to her “I ask for my people to always report if anything happens… but if you are in doubt, yes, Miss. We know about you and your powers.”
Her eyes widen as I reveal her secret; it was necessary for this talk to progress.
Her eyes move to Juri with a hurt expression… Juri looks taken aback before realisation hits her.
“What? Do you think I approached you because of your power? I discovered that you had them just now.” She says, trying to act like she doesn’t care about defending herself “And you are the one who insisted on repaying me, and since forced friendship.” Juri looks away again
Despite being rude, it seems that her words seem to placate Seol Hee, amking the her smile relieved.
Really a strange friendship… But I like it, so I can help.
“It is true, if she reported correctly, your name would be flagged in the database, and the information we had of you would be sent to her.” I explain “I would also immediately know… Which did not happen.” I finish while giving a scrutinizing gaze at Juri, but the woman refuses to look at me.
I remember that bet, you know? You owe me… I almost made a comment to keep her on her toes, but Luna Snow jumping to hug Juri is annoying her even more, so I will respect my unwilling ally at the moment.
“Now that we sorted this out…” I finally say to get their attention again “I have a proposal.”
“Proposal?”
“Yes…” I then say the same thing that I explained to Alison and Lila.
About Stark’s party, the opportunity for her to perform, the good for her career, and metakind in general…
“I want to make sure that it is your choice.” I complete. This is just one of the many ways that I can try to make the world heal from all the racism for the mutants fabricated by the haters behind the scenes.
Heck, since I deal with Sublime and most of the anti-mutant groups, it has been falling drastically, showing that in the normal state of affairs, people really don’t have anything against people with power.
There are obviously exceptions… Especially to the one with a change of appearance, but heroes like the Thing are helping with that by only existing.
Things are progressing.
I just want to progress faster and make the foundation sturdier before anyone tries to mess this good thing.
After I finish speaking, Seol Hee remains silent, her eyes downcast while she looks deep in thought. I obviously don’t hurry her or anything; I’m a patient man.
The same can’t be said about Juri.
“Just tell no if you don’t wanna.” She suddenly says with a huff after noticing Seol Hee's hands balled into fists.
“Juri… It is a big decision that will affect her life. We can allow her to think for longer than 30 seconds.” I admonish
“Just saying that is okay to say no…” Juri pouts “You can be a little intimidating, you know?”
“Me?”
“Yes, and she is a pushover.”Juri points at Seol Hee “She will end up saying yes just to not disappoint you.”
I turn to the Korean woman, “I hope it is not the case. It will really be okay for you to refuse. I know these decisions put you at a crossroads on where you want to take your career, so you should solely think about that.”
When she looks at me, I continue “Even though it would help with the Meta Agenda, your involvement is not essential. You can refuse or even wait until things get better… I will not sugarcoat. Coming out as a meta, it will make some people hate you just for that.”
“Is it really that big of a deal?” Juri suddenly asks while taking a lollipop from somewhere and unwrapping it
“Yes, many would think she has an unfair advantage.”
“What the fuck?! She can make ice! What does it have to do with singing and dancing??”
“People are not always logical… They will say that her body and appearance are naturally better because of that…” I shrug. “And it is even worse to the ones that really have a little advantage, like another singer that I invited, who can be her own light show. People will just find something to hate.”
“Then you should say yes, just to piss them off more.” Juri changes her mind, showing a toothy grin.
“The reason shouldn’t be petty…” I intervene. “She should do what she wants.”
Seoul Hee finally speaks “It… It is really a big decision. My career is just starting to take off, and is big risk…”
“As I said, you can wait for the world to be more accepting. You will not be wrong to be a little more strategic and create a fanbase before revealing your status as a meta. If you want, of course… In truth, that is what I counsel you to do.” I say
“What? You came here to get her, but at the same time, are advising her to refuse you?” Juri looks at me like I’m dumb.
“Just being honest.” I reply calmly
Seol Hee’s face shows some struggles. She bites her lower lip, looks around, fingers tightening around each other. She eventually closes her eyes, her eyebrows furrowed, and raises her fists before slamming them into the table.
Bam “Raaah!”
“She is having a meltdown now, congratulations.” Juri deadpans
“It was a battle cry!” Seol Hee points at her to correct the wrong interpretation of her outburst. Her finger moves from Juri to me as she stands up and says, “I’m gonna do it!”
“Are you sure?” I ask calmly. She is kinda cute, with her hand on her hip and all that. Naturally idol-like, maybe that is why she is popular.
“I am now!” She nods with determination “I’m doing this for more than being famous, I want to reach and help people. And that is an excellent opportunity to do that. Truthfully, I’m a little ashamed that I hesitated for so long…”
“...”
“I will also finally stop hiding who I am! Fully! My fans also deserve to know that, with all the information, they can decide if they like me or not. I don’t want to trick anyone.” She speaks, with each word, she gets more confident, as if she is successfully convincing herself. “It will also be nice to use my powers on stage.” She laughs lightly, and at the end of that, she has a big smile.
I stand up, a little impressed, “You are a brave woman, Seol Hee… Luna Snow.” I extend my hand for a handshake.
She giggles bashfully, “No, I’m not… it is not like it's a life and death situation.” She shakes my offered hand
“You don’t need a life and death situation to prove that you are brave.” I shake my head. “Standing for what you believe, even when it is not the easy choice… That is bravery.” I give her a smile.
“...thanks.” The abshfulness is still there, but she is smiling brightly now
“Ugh… I’m gonna puke. This is so sappy, Mr. Hero.” Obviously, there is someone who can’t read the mood.
“Are you allergic to hapinnes, Juri?” I turn to her
“I’m allergic to cringe.”

Third Person P.O.V.
At this point, everyone with an average IQ should know that New York is an equally dangerous and well-protected place. It is the city with the highest concentration of heroes, but that also invites villains who want to prove themselves superior to their counterparts on the opposite side of the moral spectrum.
So minor altercation happens almost daily. Spider-Man against his villain gallery, the Fantastic Four frustrating some horrible plan of the Mole Man, She-Hulk having to beat up some brute challenging her, Daredevil cleaning up small criminals that want to take advantage of the chaos…
The Big Apple is a place of opportunity for the villains, so even with the presence of heroes, it kept being a not-so-safe space.
Well… That if you didn’t count the biggest deterrent… Eidolon.
Since the Incident, the black-clad hero always gave some special attention to New York, which is where his hero friends also live, so many villains wisely avoid that place when they really want to be successful in their endeavours.
But power often breeds arrogance, and there always be someone who thinks it will be the one succeeding.
This afternoon, a specific group is proving this statement true.
Four power-hungry people discarded all of Eidolon’s warnings and decided to get power on their own. They are the ones that in the main timeline - and eventually on this one - will be called U-Foes.
A group of people to be the villains with similar powers to the Fantastic Four.
They even acquired their powers in the same way, but instead of an accident, the U-Foes sought their powers by copying the Fantastic Four's misfortune.
They indeed acquired powers, but in a very villainous fashion, they become like Ben Grimm, with a different form based on their new powers, incapable of changing back.
Strangely, they harbored resentment toward Bruce Banner and the Fantastic Four that was able to pull them back before the consequences became too big for them to bear, thinking that the heroes' move stopped them from becoming even stronger.
This time, in this universe, the one who noticed their actions first was obviously Eidolon.
His planetary security system is not only to detect invaders. Like cameras on the front porch of a house, he can also be aware of anyone leaving Earth.
He was in the middle of some tests with his new assimilations, practising with Rin Okumura's demonic fire, and creating new clone bodies, when Cortana informed him of what was happening.
At first, he just casually extended his senses to his droids, seeing through their cameras. After noticing that the rocket leaving Earth looks very… clandestine. He used his real eyes to check what was happening.
Unobstructed because space is empty, his X-ray vision pierced through the hull of the ship to see the four individuals. Cortana immediately pulled their files and transferred them to Hector’s brain.
The first is Simon Utrecht, an indutrialist poltiician that has no reason to be in a rocket, but he was the rich one founding the whole project and who hired the others. Ambitious, his hunger now moved to meta-powers.
The only woman in the crew is Ann Darnnel, the life-support engineer of the ship.
Similar to the Fantastic Four, Ann has a younger brother called James Darnell, who is co-piloting the ship and is the engineer responsible for the fuel-propulsion.
And finally, there is Michael Steel, the skilled scientist and main pillar of this whale operation. He is not only piloting, but he was also the one who designed the ship by studying Reed’s notes.
While Hector was understanding the whole picture and sighing loudly, the ship suddenly entered their bootleg version of hiperspace and he acted.
The group of four is suddenly already inside the cosmic cloud that can give someone power. They can feel their bodies burning, the ship is not as well-made as the Fantastic Four, and the exposition is bigger, the transformation faster…
Maybe it was intended to be this way… In their greed, they will find their demise.
Thump
But the hero appears, stepping on the hull and immediately taking control of the whole ship. With the use of both finesse and power, he pulls them back from where they came from.
It does not take long for Eidolon to bring them back to the launching site, a private property of Utrecht in the outskirts of New York.
And that is when the group showed why New York will never be truly safe, even when people know that someone as strong as Eidolon is protecting it.
As the hero opens the spaceship like a can of sardines to reveal the passengers inside, he notices that their bodies already changed.
Each looks like they are made of different types of matter or energy. Some of their features also changed.
Simon Utrecht looks like an orange alien. There is no hair on his body, and he even lost his ears.
Ann Darnell is not different shades of green, and it looks unstable, flickering between solid and gaseous form.
Her brother, James darnell is shining bright bink, like a lightbulb, also without features.
And Michael Steel, in a coincidence of destiny, looks like he is made of steel. His whole body is covered like Colossus - except for the lines around his body that give him flexibility - but he has a body shape similar to the Hulk and the Thing.
The first to notice the hero floating above them was the now orange Utrecht, but instead of gratitude…
“Why? WHY?! Why did you prevent us from accessing ultimate power?!” He shouts angrily
“I saved you… You all are about to die.” Eidolon looks down on them with his All Seeing Eyes of God
“That was not your call to make!” Utrecht shouts while thrusting his hand forward, and an energy blast is shot out from his fist.
The forever cautious Eidolon disappears from his spot to dodge the attack that can carry some hidden effect.
Utrecht pauses and stares at his hand in awe before a crazy smile spreads on his new face.

“Yeah, yeah… Congratulations. You just put yourself at risk and changed your DNA forever. Hope you are happy. I bet S.H.I.E.L.D. will want to talk with your guys.” Eidolon approaches by floating “But if you want, you can come with me-”
His goodwill was misinterpreted, though.
“So this is what this is about? Do you want to control us?” Utrecht suddenly asks
“...” Eidolon tilts his head, already predicting where this is going
“Not only that, you stopped us from getting stronger! You feared that we would get stronger than you!!”
“...” The urge to facepalm is strong. ‘Who do you think you are? Matthew Malloy?’
Even Cortana and Nemesis are speechless.

“Lies!” Utrecht shouts and points at the hero accusingly “I will not listen to you! WE don’t NEED to listen to you!”
Utrecht then turns to the rest “Guys, let’s fight him!”
“...” Now Eidolon facepalmed
Nemesis is almost getting sick from laughing; if she needed to breathe, she would be suffocating.
“Eh… That is Eidolon…” James Darnell looks unsure
“It doesn’t matter! We have powers now! And we need to go through him to conquer the freedom in our new life.” Utrecht is a politician who has some ability to sway people to his side.

This seems to annoy Michael; Eidolon guesses he must have a big ego. The metal man then goes to grab him with his two hands. The other three also attack him from all directions.
The world starts moving in slow motion while Eidolon looks at the attacks approaching.
‘Well… Four new powers to the collection…’ He thinks casually ‘But if they want power so much… I will respect their wishes. More than that…’
From between the fingers of his right hand, four darts appear.
The drug that he created with the Trigger from the Hero Academia world and the MGH(Mutant Growth Hormone) of this world. A drug to enhance someone’s power…
The same thing he used to make Norman Osborn a monster and kill him from the inside out.
His eyes grow cold as the attacks approach his body.

“...four reckless individuals tried to replicate the accident that gave the Fantastic Four their powers and bite more than what they can chew.” A reporter on the small screen of a wrist device informs, while the police, S.H.I.E.L.D, The Fantastic Four, Bruce Banner, and Black Widow are visible in the background.
The camera pans out to see the four being transported in different types of containment.
Utrecht looks the most normal, but his alien body looks too soft to stand up.
Ann is now fully aseous, like a cloud, and contained inside a bubble where sometimes the greed gas forms the shape of her face.
Her brother now is a crystal of pink light that was put inside a black box.
And Michael Steel is a completely stiff statue of metal; he can’t move, and only his eyes darting around show that he is alive.
“Luckily, they are saved by Eidolon from even worse consequences, and we are here with the hero for an interview.” The reporter smiles brightly while the camera goes back to her and Eidolon, with his arms crossed at her side. “Eidolon… any statement about this occurrence?” She puts the microphone to his face
“What more can I say… I warned people not do that. I will not rub salt on the wound, but I hope that what happened with those four becomes a cautionary tale to the rest of the world.” He says with a tired tone
“What happened and what is gonna happen with those four?” The reporter asks
“Their DNA changed greatly, a little more exposure to the cosmic cloud, and they would not be here between us. But people shouldn’t pity them, they are victims of their own hubris… When I helped, they attacked me, angry that I interrupted their moment… their death, really.”
“They attacked you?” The reporter looked shocked
Eidolon sighs tiredly “As much as I would like to say that was a poor decision born from the high of getting powers, I think they are fully aware at that moment, and their motives to get powers are not the best ones. I hope they rethink their lives so that they can be reintegrated into society as metas. Then I will be able to help them to regain their lives.” The hero says without holding a grudge.
“Can they be cured?”
“I would not use the term ‘cure’-”
The person watching the news through her wrist device chuckles lightly before turning off the transmission while Eidolon explains about the right of having powers and a nuance of accepting the individual, but also expects them to be responsible.
“He is always busy…” Saeko says, fully clad in her samurai armor, before turning to the other person in the room “We should get busy too.”
“...” Psylocke slowly nods
“Let’s go cut the problems of our master.” She says with a happy tone
On a wall nearby, japanese-style double door suddenly appears and opens to a completely different location.
Saeko enters without hesitation, bloodlust oozing from her.
“Because we are his blades and sheaths…” Saeko says to hype herself
“Sheath? What do you mean by sheath?” Psylocke looks at her strangely
“...” Vut saeko doesn’t reply
“You mean sheath as the whole weapon package, right?”
“...”
“Right???”

One chapter, but mostly dialogue. I thought it was going to be more of a slice-of-life story. But it wasn't bad at all. I wonder what Hector is going to do with those four. He wouldn't keep them like that forever; it's too harsh a punishment for a grime of greed. But I think he intends to leave them like this to teach them a lesson, before helping them, not to mention using them as an example to avoid future foolishness. And Saeko, lol, that was hilarious, we know why the sheath too, hmhm.
