I've been working very hard on trying to improve the hand capture for our mocap product and can report a huge leap forward in capability. I previous mocaps I was having to record the hand capture in on software and then convert it to timeline morphs using a python script - but I've just completed writing a plugin that intercepts the glove data and in realtime converts that data to morphs in the form of Timeline data. This means the future mocaps will have very accurate hand motion data in the form of Timeline that was captured in realtime during the motion capture. We've even implemented hand spread - which was previously skipped due to inaccuracies - but I've solved this by creating a calibration routine that runs right before each mocap. I'll be releasing something showcasing this new functionality very soon. I know output has been slow this month, and this is the reason. Coding this solution has taken me many hours.
