Summary: He's Keith. She's Kelly. Except neither of them are who they say they are. Xander Harris and Tara Maclay end up falling into bed together on Xander's little road trip. Should make for an amusing reunion later at UC Sunnydale, once Tara is dating Willow...
Meeting People
Xander Harris let an explosive breath blow out from between his lips as he scrubbed away at the disgusting mystery gunk currently attached to the plate in his hands. The young man had been stuck at this club, Ladies Night for a month now, forced to take a temporary job in order to pay for the repairs to his car. He’d only made it to Oxnard, which in Xander’s opinion was both sad and a startlingly good metaphor for his entire life so far.
A giggle pulled Xander’s attention away from his self-loathing and the dishes in his hand. He looked up and smiled at Kelly, the young blonde girl who was also working as a dishwasher right alongside him. Kelly was the only person who’d even bothered to talk to him since he’d started working at this place, but then Xander figured that made sense given they were in the same boat and everyone else apparently thought they were lower than scum.
“Whatcha thinking about Keith?”
Blinking, the young man paused for half a second before remembering his current name was in fact Keith, not Xander. Sending a sheepish smile Kelly’s way, Xander gave a noncommittal half-shrug and got back to work.
“Just how I got here. Stuck here because my shitty junker barely even made it this far and now I’ve got to get it fixed. Not the most glamorous work, is this? But it’ll do I suppose.”
“Amen to that! Ugh, scrubbing dishes is the worst.”
Xander found himself rolling his eyes at the blonde’s words, though it was good natured as he smiled at her.
“Yeah, well only one of us COULD have had a waitress job if she really wanted it. I’m stuck back here because I’m not willing nor fit enough to really go around baring it all on stage. What’s your excuse again Kelly?”
Scowling, Kelly balled up a soapy wet towel and tossed it across the kitchen in his direction. It landed with a whap on Xander’s shoulder and he laughed even as he flinched away, peeling it off of his body and tossing it into his own sink.
“You KNOW I don’t do good with people Keith. I prefer not to have to talk to a bunch of strangers, and some of the women who frequent this place swing both ways. I’m not interested in being groped by drunks all night long.”
Xander just chuckled and shook his head.
“I don’t know, you’re pretty cool with me. You just got to learn how to channel that Kellyness of yours into your interactions with strangers!”
The blond huffed and turned back to her own scrubbing, shaking her head. But Xander knew she was smiling as she answered him, he could hear it in her voice.
“Don’t be dumb Keith. I’m ‘cool’ with you because you’re my friend you big dolt. I like you and you’re nice, so of course it’s easy to talk to you. It’s not like I can just superimpose your face onto everyone’s faces and treat them all like I treat you. Not only am I pretty sure I’d get fired, I’d also soon belong in a mental hospital.”
Another chuckle escaped Xander’s mouth. He couldn’t help it; Kelly really was a funny girl. More than that, she was right, they’d become friends in such a short time. It was weird though, having a friend who didn’t even know you by your real name. Getting to know someone while hiding everything about yourself, it was more than a little odd. Xander felt guilty about it, but he didn’t let any of that leak into his voice as he responded, a carefree tone on his lips.
“Yeah, but it sure would make for a lot more handsome shmucks wouldn’t it?”
That got another giggle from Kelly but whatever she might have said back in their nonstop banter was cut off when the door to the kitchen suddenly swung open and the nightclub’s beautiful imposing shift manager walked in on high heels that clipped across the floor.
“You. What’s your name?”
Both he and Kelly looked back at her, but she was pointing at him so Xander turned around, swallowing hard.
“Uh, Keith? Did I do something wrong?”
The woman in her pencil skirt and her tight blouse walked up to him, staring shrewdly from behind glasses as she eyed him this way and that, pressing a pen up under his chin and turning his head a little.
“… You’ll do ‘Keith’. I need you on stage tonight. One of our ‘dancers’ has called in sick.”
Xander’s eyes widened dramatically. Oh, this was so much worse than being in trouble.
“O-oh, I couldn’t p-poss-urk!”
As Xander tried to explain just why he couldn’t take the missing male stripper’s place, the shift manager used her pen to force his mouth shut. It felt like her damn glare was piercing his soul.
“Let me make myself clear. This is not a request. You will go on stage. Or you’re out that door and never coming back. Understood?”
Xander paled and gave it a second of honest thought. In the end, the young man knew that he needed this job. He needed the money. He was only a little bit more away from getting out of here, but he needed the funds this job provided. Letting out a defeated sigh, Xander’s shoulders slumped and he nodded dejectedly. This just made the manager smirk evilly and she spun around without another word, walking out of the kitchen in a few long strides.
“Damn Keith… that’s a tough break.”
Xander looked up. Kelly was truly apologetic and that was one of the things he liked the most about the blonde. She didn’t have a truly malicious bone in her entire body. He gave her a shrug and a smile.
“Yeah. What can ya do, you know?”
She nodded in response, seeming to know exactly what he meant.
“W-well… break a leg?”
Xander snorted and left the kitchen behind, tearing off his smock on his way out and heading backstage. This was going to be an experience.

Tara Maclay watched Keith go with a worried look on her face. The blonde woman hated that her only friend in this place was being forced to do something he really didn’t want to do. At the same time, Tara couldn’t help being just a little aroused by the thought of Keith stripping on a stage. He wasn’t built or sculpted like those normal dancers they had out there, but he was still handsome and rugged in his own way.
Blushing, Tara lowered her head and got back to work as the images of Keith in various stages of undress flitted through her head. The blonde was just here for a little while longer, trying to finish getting the money she needed for her first semester at UC Sunnydale. She already had most of the money, and this silly dishwashing job would give the last bit within another month or two.
But until then, Keith had been the best friend she could have asked for in a place like this. Even as weird as it was that he didn’t know her real name. Honestly, having a friend as close as Keith that knew her only by an assumed name like Kelly felt strange beyond measure. But it was necessary for an under the table job like this. You could never be too careful.
Tara let out another sigh and looked down at the dish in her hands. Then she placed it in the soapy water and spun on her heel, biting her lower lip and rushing over to the doors to the kitchen. She made her way across the back of the stripper club to the bathrooms, and on the way she got quite an eyeful of Keith, who was already on the stage. The man was half naked already and looked quite nervous as he made these silly little dance moves and smiled hesitantly rather than broadly at the crowd.
Yet, as Tara watched, the ladies seemed to eat it up. There was cheering and catcalling on a level Tara had never heard before whenever Keith removed another garment. It seemed like the shy inexperienced boy routine was honestly working in a room full of jaded cougars that were all too burnt out on the usual dancers.
A pang of jealousy lanced through Tara’s heart and she pursed her lips together as she hurried back from the bathroom to the kitchen to return to her dishwashing. Keith wasn’t her man or anything. It was irrational for her to feel envy of the women in the club who were getting to ogle his body. But that didn’t mean it wasn’t happening.
Getting back to the dishes, the blonde young woman kept her head down and got back to work. Wasn’t her place, it wasn’t her place. But of course, Tara couldn’t quite get the memory of Keith’s naked chest out of her head.

When Tara stepped out of the nightclub to head back home for the night, looking forward to getting some much needed rest, she found a group of women surrounding someone in front of the club. Trying to step around the crowd, Tara kept her head down as best she could. That didn’t stop a familiar voice from calling out to her.
“Kelly! Hey Kelly!”
Tara almost didn’t stop. It took a second for her fake name to register to her ears. But when she realized it was KEITH’s voice she was hearing, she stuttered to a stop and turned with wide eyes to find Keith forcing his way through the crowd of women towards her. He quickly grabbed hold of her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders in a way that left Tara feeling a strange heat in her belly Of course; Keith only had eyes for the crowd that was now staring at the both of them.
“S-see Ladies? Told you I had a girlfriend, she’s right here and everything. Really real. So, uh, sorry but I just can’t return any of your affections. Glad you enjoyed the show and everything but time for Kelly and me to be getting home. Long day tomorrow!”
There was disappointment from the female mob and Tara watched with wide eyes as they dispersed slowly, many giving her dirty looks. Keith spun them around and kept his arm around her shoulders as he began to walk her along the sidewalk. Tara let herself be led for a brief second before clearing her throat and hissing at him.
“Keith, my apartment is the other way.”
Blinking down at her stupidly, the young man spun the BACK around and they started walking the right direction. Tara continued to guide him with whispered words under her breath until finally they were at her apartment complex. Keith let out a low breath and smiled at Tara as he finally let her go.
“Sorry about that Kelly, I really didn’t want to involve you but I was honestly getting afraid for my virtue there you know? You okay? Hope you don’t hate me or anything now heh.”
Tara bit her lower lip, worrying the sensitive flesh as she turned to regard the sheepish man who’d been her only friend for a month now.
“Keith… do you want to come in?”
The offer was made in earnest and he seemed to realize it, because his eyes widened at the seriousness he saw in her gaze. To make it utterly clear what she wanted, Tara raised a hand, offering it to the young man. Slowly, Keith reached out and took it and let her lead him up the stairs and into her apartment building.

The two of them were not exactly slow paced once they were actually in Kelly’s apartment. Xander couldn’t believe this was happening as the normally shy blonde girl kissed him heatedly and he found himself kissing her just as hard right back. Their hands flew over each other’s bodies and clothing was pulled off piece by piece as they stripped one another.
Apparently this was happening. If Xander had known he would get this for stripping, he might have tried it weeks ago. Kelly was just a friend of course, but the young man couldn’t deny how hot she was, nor the crush he had on her. And apparently the cute pouty blonde shared his feelings, because the way her hands curled in his hair and the way her tongue wrestled with his were like nothing Xander had ever felt.
Clad only in their undergarments, the two moved through the small studio apartment to where Kelly’s bed lay unmade. Xander didn’t care though, spinning himself around, he fell back onto the frumpy mattress and dragged the blonde girl down with him. A gasp of surprise left Kelly’s lips before he captured them again, and the two made out right there on her bed, Kelly’s body draped over his.
Even as their tongues fought with one another and their lips smacked together, their hands wandered along each other’s bodies. Xander grunted as Kelly aggressively forced her hand into his boxers, her dainty feminine fingers closing around his already half-hard shaft and quickly jerking him off. In retaliation, Xander slid his fingers under Kelly’s bra and began to grope her delicious tits. They weren’t huge, but a handful was all Xander ever really needed on a girl anyways.
Kelly moaned against his mouth in response to the way he was touching her and eager to get more of those sounds from the girl, Xander forced his other hand down her panties and began to run his fingers along her already wet slit. There was only one way things could go from there. Kelly pulled his cock out of his boxers and stroked it some more before Xander let out a grunt and flipped them.
Now that he was over her, Kelly looked quite vulnerable, but he could see the passion and the lust still in her gaze as she looked up at him with those big blue eyes of hers. Using his hand to slide her panties aside, Xander allowed Kelly to guide his cock to her entrance and fit it inside of her. Only then did he thrust forward, drawing a gasp from the young woman as he finally penetrated her.
“K-Keith…”
Xander groaned at just how tight Kelly’s pussy was around his shaft. Her velvety embrace clenched down around him as he began to slowly slide in and out of her, keeping things loving and tender, needing to just BE with her rather than actually FUCK for the moment. Kelly seemed to enjoy that too, given the mewls and moans that escaped her throat as he made love to her.
“A-ah Keeeith…”
The whine escaped her throat a moment before the blonde climaxed around his cock. Xander was surprised at just how sensitive Kelly was, honestly not seeing the orgasm coming. Her cunt spasmed around his thrusting cock and Xander groaned.
“Kelly… shit I’m gonna cum…”
The blonde just bucked her hips up towards him needily.
“D-do it. I’m on the pill. Cum inside.”
He trusted his friend, even if they’d only known each other for a month. He knew Kelly wouldn’t lie about something like this. Xander was actually pretty sure she didn’t have a deceitful bone in her body. And cumming inside of her sounded really fucking good. The two lovers moaned out at the same time as Xander thrust one final time up into Kelly’s body and began to cum.
His seed filled her insides, painting them white until he was finished and left panting over her. Slowly, Xander slid out of the blonde and flopped to the side of her, trying to catch his breath.
“D-Damn Kelly… that was…”
“That was amazing Keith… thank you.”
Xander looked over at the blonde to find her smiling at him. He smiled back and gave her a slight nod. Then, his smile faltered when he thought about how he’d soon be gone. And Kelly would never even know his real name. After a few seconds of introspection, Xander turned to tell Kelly everything only to find the blonde was already asleep, a remarkably peaceful look on her face as she shifted and curled into his side.
Letting out a sigh, Xander decided to leave the conversation for the morning. For now, Kelly needed her sleep and so did he. They both had long shifts tomorrow after all.

Xander never did tell Kelly everything, but they did part on good terms when Xander was finally able to pay for his car’s repairs and go on his way. Kelly was actually very understanding, telling him that she was only a week more pay from going on her own way as well. While the young man hoped he’d see the blonde beauty down the road again, he was content with what they’d shared for those couple of weeks before they’d had to part ways.

I definitely want to see what happens when they meet again (personally, I'm hoping for a threesome with Willow).
