Summary: Ruby ends up in a relationship with Oscar. The thing is, she's always had a bit of a crush on another young man that she finds herself around every single day. One thing leads to another, and she ends up cheating on her boyfriend. Whoops?
-x-X-x-
Ruby wasn’t a bad person. She was just… conflicted. With everything that had happened, with everything she and the others had been through, was it any wonder that she didn’t know what to do, especially when it came to matters of the heart? Don’t get her wrong, she was… content, with Oscar Pine. As the former farmhand leans in to give her a kiss at their breakfast table in Haven Academy’s cafeteria, Ruby smiles slightly and allows him to do so, a blush on her face but no hesitance in her actions as she kisses him back.
Only, there was some spark, some magic missing from the kiss, and if Ruby was being honest with herself, she knew why that was. Oscar doesn’t feel the same way she does though, as he pulls back with a dopey grin on his face. The young man is completely and utterly besotted with her, and it shows in his every action.
Of course, he also shares his body with her old Headmaster… and that’s just a little weird, isn’t it? Ruby had looked past it when Oscar had first asked her out on a date. She’d… she’d needed someone, as her first choice was still in mourning. Oscar had been there for her, but now Weiss and Yang were back, and Ruby felt like she was using him, like she didn’t really care for the young man the same way he did her. On top of that, with Ozpin in his head, she didn’t see a long-term relationship in their future.
But how was she supposed to say that? How was she supposed to tell Oscar how she felt without breaking his heart? There was just no way. So, as he told her he was heading out to get in some early training, Ruby found herself nodding and smiling, barely hearing his words one way or the other. Then, he’s gone and she’s left alone at the table, eating her breakfast. The cafeteria is full though, and as she glances around, she catches sight of a certain someone.
Ruby can’t help but let out a quiet sigh. He looks… he looks happy. It’d taken a long time, but finally, Jaune Arc wasn’t wallowing in grief. Not that Ruby had blamed him for his slow recovery. It’d taken her a while too, to put everything back together, to reassemble her life and find good things to go along with the bad. Beacon was gone. Pyrrha was gone… but they’d had to move on, perhaps a little too fast.
Still, it finally seemed like old wounds were beginning to heal. And though Ruby tried her best not to be a bad person, she was still a young woman with emotions and feelings beyond her control. Abruptly standing, the short-haired girl begins to make her way over to the rest of Team RNJR. She’s not… she’s not going to do anything scandalous. She just wants to be with him, be NEAR him.
“Jaune!”
The conversation stops as Ruby intrudes… but she’s an old friend, and there’s no anger or annoyance at her sudden appearance. Ren and Nora look to her right alongside Jaune, and Nora has a big smile on her face as she waves excitedly, before chomping down on some more of her pancakes. Jaune in turn keeps his smile more reserved, but no less affectionate as he nods to her.
“Hey Ruby, what’s up?”
Before her confidence can desert her, Ruby blurts out what’s on her mind.
“Do you want to get in some one on one training? I-I’ve got some time, right now… if you’re free!”
Jaune blinks and then glances to Ren and Nora. After a moment, he nods and stands.
“Yeah, let’s uh… let’s go. I can always use some more practice, and you’re an excellent teacher Ruby.”
A spark of warmth fills her chest at his words, even if she’s not sure whether or not he fully means them. Either way, Ruby finds herself walking out of the cafeteria with the blonde boy at her side. As they move off to a more secluded area, Ruby can’t help but sneak glances at Jaune. He’s certainly grown up since the first time they’d met. But then, Ruby likes to think she’s grown up some as well.
Of course, a lot of that was forced onto them, but that was just the life of a hunter and a huntress, wasn’t it? They had to resign themselves to loss, because in the end, the Grimm always got the last laugh. Now though, it wasn’t just the Grimm that they had to worry about. Monsters like Cinder were working WITH the Grimm to attack humanity’s last bastions. It was mind-boggling, this idea that any being with a soul would betray their own kind, but Ruby had long since given up on trying to figure out why Cinder and those that had helped her had done what they’d done.
It was just… impossible to comprehend where they’d come from. Instead, Ruby focuses more on the time ahead. She can’t help but beam happily as they finally reach an out of the way clearing. Jaune draws Crocea Mors and unfolds his sheathe into its shield form, and in turn, Ruby pulls Crescent Rose from her back. They square off, and then a moment later, Ruby is launching herself forward.
The next several minutes are spent in a frenzy of mock battle. Ruby holds back of course, knowing that even now, her skill level is higher than Jaune’s. But that’s not what she likes about the blonde boy. No, Ruby is in love with Jaune Arc because he’s funny, and kind, and all around friendly. He was her first friend at Beacon, and together they’d been thrust into leadership roles neither of them had been prepared for.
How could she not fall for him? But no, Jaune had been more interested in Weiss than her, and Ruby had also seen the way Pyrrha pined after him. The young woman still wasn’t entirely sure if Jaune and Pyrrha had even gotten to express their true feelings for each other, before… before Pyrrha had died. She knew that Jaune had felt much the same way for the red head as the red head in turn felt for him, but any relationship they might have had, was cut off by the other girl’s death.
Was it… was it wrong that Ruby was ever so slightly happy about the fact that she now felt she had an actual chance with Jaune… if not for her relationship with Oscar? Unknowingly, Ruby begins to fight harder and faster as she gets lost in a whirlwind of her own thoughts and emotions. Jaune is forced onto the back foot as their spar becomes somewhat of a real battle, and he is in turn pushed completely into a defensive mode.
Ruby, meanwhile, continues to fret over her own feelings for the blonde boy she’s currently pummeling. She wants… she wants him, but she can’t have him, but she NEEDS him. It’s just not fair, but then, life isn’t fair, is it? Nothing is ever fair, and the only way you can get something is if you take it. In the end, it wa-
“RUBY!”
Suddenly, she’s crashing through Jaune’s defenses, his shield and Crocea Mors flung to the side as she slams him back into the ground, bringing his aura dangerously low and laying the haft of her scythe against his neck. Her legs straddle his chest and her cute butt rests on his belly as she stares with wide eyes down at him. Jaune in turn looks right back at her, his blonde hair matted from sweat and his gorgeous blue irises clouded with confusion and worry.
And in that moment, Ruby can’t take it anymore. Pinning him down, she leans in and kisses him right then and there, her tongue slipping past his shocked, pliant lips and the kiss deepening into something far, far more. And to her utter joy, Jaune kisses her back, his hands coming up to instinctively grab onto her hips through her battle skirt as their tongues wrestle with one another.
However, then the moment passes, and Ruby realizes what she’s doing. Leaping up off of Jaune, the young woman squeaks as she turns away, ashamed of her arousal and embarrassed by her desire to do it again.
“… Ruby…”
Jaune’s voice reaches her ears, but it only makes her hunch more in on herself. Yet, she doesn’t flee. She just can’t bring herself to run away, not from this, not from her feelings… not anymore. When Jaune reaches out and slowly turns her around via her shoulders, Ruby lets him, and when he tries to pry Crescent Rose out of her hands, she lets him do that too, shockingly enough.
With nothing between them anymore, Jaune places his finger under her chin and forces her to look up at him. Then, he leans in and kisses her again. Ruby freezes for a moment, surprised at his actions… but then she’s kissing him back, throwing her arms around his neck as she locks lip with him quite heatedly. Their tongues dance together once more and Ruby’s heart swells in her chest as she finally gets the chance to makeout with the boy she loves.
This continues for a good several minutes, until they eventually part mutually. Jaune’s arms are around her waist, pulling her up against his chest, and Ruby can’t help but smile as she looks into his gorgeous blue eyes. He smiles back at her, and even with everything, in that moment she feels at peace.
“Ruby… I…”
“I know Jaune… me too.”
A shudder goes through the young man, and his smile grows wider. They’re soon kissing again, but this time, their hands move over one another’s bodies and they begin the process of removing each other’s clothes. The armor pieces go first, and then the garments beneath them follow. Ruby doesn’t care that they’re out in the open where anyone might see. She doesn’t care that it’s her first time and they’re about to do something that can’t be taken back out in the middle of a forest.
And most shamefully of all, Ruby doesn’t care about Oscar’s feelings in that instant. No, in the end this moment is about her and Jaune and no one else… and all Ruby can feel is happiness, even as Jaune’s fingers hook into the waistband of her panties, only for the boy to hesitate. The point of no return… Ruby leans back a bit to meet Jaune’s eyes again, and she nods as she bites her lower lip. At the same time, her own hand goes down into his boxers and clasps around his thick, throbbing, pulsating cock.
Jaune gasps, and then begins to shift her panties down her legs. Ruby helps him, and they fall to the soft grass beneath them, her on her back and Jaune atop her. With his cock still in her hand, Ruby spreads her legs wide as she withdraws it from his boxers. Slowly, her silver eyes locked with his blue, the young woman guides Jaune to her entrance. She’s wet, wetter than she’s ever been before. Her pussy lips flower open as Jaune presses into her, and a moment later he’s inside, sliding up against her virginity, and then right on through.
Ruby lets out a light gasp as he pierces into her core, but the pain is nearly nonexistent. All that matters in that moment is the fact that they’re finally one. Jaune pauses all the same, but Ruby just gives him an encouraging smile, her legs wrapping around his waist and pulling him in, even as she wraps her arms back around his neck, releasing his cock now that he’s penetrating deep inside of her.
More and more of Jaune’s thick member slips into her cunt, and Ruby groans, even as she mashes her lips back against his own, drawing his head down to her. Jaune finally hits the entrance of her womb, and then he begins to move, slowly, sensually, making love to her right there on the forest floor. Ruby is beside herself with joy. Despite everything, she can’t help but be happy, especially as their tongues wrestle together and he slides in and out of her, his thrusts deep and slow.
Its everything Ruby has ever wanted, and even if it’s a betrayal of Oscar, she can’t bring herself to be ashamed, not anymore. This is where she belongs, in the arms of her one true love. Jaune groans into her mouth and Ruby can tell the boy is getting close already as his pacing becomes uneven and sporadic. His throbbing cock pulses and he’s only moments away from cumming when he tries to pull back.
Ruby can’t bring herself to let him. She grips tightly with her legs and holds Jaune to her, even as he begins to fill her womb with his seed. The blonde boy gapes at her, his blue eyes wide as he unloads inside of her, but Ruby just smiles back at him, up until the point where her own orgasm takes her, wracking her body as she feels him painting her insides with white, hot cum.
It just feels right, taking his load inside of herself instead of outside. And even if something comes of it, Ruby can’t bring herself to regret the split-second decision. Only once Jaune is done cumming does the young woman release him, unwrapping her legs and allowing him to slide his softening cock out of her. Jaune does so, a confused expression on his face, as if he can’t decide whether to be upset or not about what she’s done.
“Rub-mmph!”
She’s up and silencing him with another heartfelt kiss a moment later, and Jaune practically melts as he grabs her and pulls her into his lap, kissing her back just as desperately. When they part ways, he’s a little dazed but ultimately smiling, even as she does the same.
“… Whatever comes will come Jaune. I don’t mind, so long as I can face it by your side.”
It’s a moment of intense vulnerability, and Ruby can’t help but be afraid of how he’s going to react. Finally though, Jaune nods his agreement.
“Alright… I… I love you Ruby.”
Ruby’s resulting smile stretches from ear to ear as she leans in and kisses him quickly.
“I love you too Jaune!”
They both smile a little goofily at that, even as his seed leaks from her pussy and she feels his soft cock resting beneath her pert little posterior. But after a moment, Jaune’s goofy smile fades and he frowns slightly.
“… What about Oscar?”
Ruby flushes at that, and lowers her eyes. She thinks for a moment, before finally letting out a sigh. Looking up at Jaune again, the young woman nods.
“I’ll… I’ll tell him. I’ll break it off with him. I can’t be with him, not when I love another man… not when I love you.”
Jaune is just as solemn as she feels now, even as he nods his agreement. Slowly, the two of them move off one another and get dressed. There’s a somber feel to the air, but nonetheless, when they finally move to leave the small secluded clearing, they do so together, hand in hand, hearts swelling with happiness.
Oscar will understand. Ruby is sure of it.

Fantastic work, although that last line feels ominous.
