Yeah there's a reason Rognak has done a lot of flat out apologizing so far in this fic lmao.

TBH I don't consider "we were lied to" to be a valid excuse for genocide. At the end of the day, they killed somewhere around 90% or more, of the Draenei population and paved a road with their bones. There *isn't* an excuse for that.

Yurien

The manipulation of Rognak is obvious and still work perfectly with the proud of the blood elves lmao

Cambrian

I mean, tbf Rognak's argument still holds plenty of weight for the orcs being victims even then. Kil'Jaedan and his goons literally replaced the orcs' spiritual ancestors and turned them against the Draenei before the whole demon blood drinking thing. The orcs were always patsies from start to finish. Before the Deceiver got involved, they were on distant but decent trading terms with the Draenei heh.

*The orcs, as far as she and her people were concerned, were a noble and proud race. Savage? Perhaps. But that mattered little. From the moment they’d set foot on Kalimdor’s shores, the Horde had proved themselves to be just as honorable as Broxigar the Red, the one example of their kind that Tyrande had had for the past ten thousand years.* Have to say, this line right here *really* makes me want to see Tyrande (among others) meet the Dranei and have their whole "we are not responsible for actions of the old horde" "It was all the demon's fault" thing. Fall apart in the face of people who remember the orcs exterminating their people well before they drank demon blood. Especially given that other than Thrall and Rognak as far as I can remember the entirety of the orc leadership took part in that genocide. Bonus points if one of the Dranei in question points at one of said leaders (extra bonus points if it's *Brox*) and says something along the lines of "I recognize you, you killed my family." That aside, looking forward to seeing how the battle plays out.

Loving this story. Can't wait to see how the Draenei react to orcs now that they have gone back to closer to how they use to be than the horde that made "the path to glory'

Still my favorite retcon is "Sylvanas sent emissaries to the alliance but they were turned away". Given this retcon came at the same time as "Sylvanas is a cackling omnicidal saturday morning cartoon villain", it doesn't make the alliance look evil for doing so; it makes them look smart

TheSinful

"Shit, either we agree with an orc or we prove ourselves dumber than orcs."

Cambrian

fufufu right

Cambrian

Yeah I ain't touching WoW more than I have to lmao

T4ndoris

Balnazzar: "join us and we will resolve your mana problem!" Kael’thas: 'hmm, maybe i should join them...' Rognak : "Nah they are too smart to join you fucker" Kael’thas: *confused blush* "He's out of line, but he's right"

TheSinful

Always frustrating when you know someone's playing you but they're right so you kinda gotta go along with it anyway. Had the thought the other day that even beyond how stupidly long it'd be, a good thing about keeping this to WC3 is not dealing with the fucking retcons, the FUCKING shadowlands, or the other shit that while it mighta been fun to play, really doesn't feel like some huge end of the world deal. Like I really enjoyed MoP as both Horde and Alliance, but the fuck is the thunder king gonna do against an Alliance and Horde that ain't fucking around? Dude got wrecked by people more interested in killing each other than him. Also Garrosh never getting out of his state of "I should make you chieftain so I can go die in a corner" is only a good thing.
