0.6b Bug Thread

Nope, that's not a glitch. There aren't any more weight stages for Alice in 0.6. This version was all about improving the existing content rather than adding completely new stuff

This isn't a bug in 0.6b, but the final, but I'm not sure where I'd put it. I got to Day 135 and got to the scene where Janet visits Alice (when Alice is wearing the red dress) and it appears that I got an end scene? However, Alice hadn't reached 300 lbs yet and I was under the impression that she had more stages in this version? (She was 298 lbs in the next weight check) Is this a glitch?

Just noticed - Day 26, Sunday, select Picnic. Get to the point where Alice has a donut. You ask if she wants another. She refuses. If you select Fair Enough, all works correctly. If you select Feed her, it immediately reverts to the main menu. Seems a bit odd.

Yes i started with the 0.6a and switched after some hours to 0.6b. also never introduced to Sarah. Maybe thats the problem and it's already fixed in the 0.6b

the next day I saw this https://imgur.com/a/B97z6ET sarah thinks I'm wearing the pink outfit of being 225lbs but I'm actually wearing the 240lbs outfit I think? not 100% sure this is a bug, the previous statement was clearly a bug... this isn't really a problem, but I do think it might point to a similar underlying error.

Oh btw this has happened at what seems like every stage of the game. In 0.5 and earlier if you went to the cinema and alice proposed a genre of film, and you said you didn't want to see that genre of film, you'd randomly see another genre of film. In 0.6b you just always see whatever genre of film alice chooses, even if she says okay you choose a different, you end up still just seeing the original choice.

Yes i also encounter an error everytime when i enter the gym and alice is not there. This happend after the scene where Hannah join in the bar to drink and eat pizza at home. I've realised that I can still call Alice and do stuff even if my energy is at zero - I just can't go anywhere by myself. Is that supposed to be the case? If it's always been that way, I've been incredibly unobservant XD

This happened to me too, I don't think I'd hit the food option many times early on though, so I may not have given it a fair chance.

hi im get alice weight 312 and get in the to be continued like same in 0.5 no more weight and game replay back to find me in work with alice and boss you tank take home for eat chicken its always end in this and make me bk for 297 weight and im not find dance dress this like pic anye where what should do is this the end?

I currently playing on day 24 with Alice weighing 140lbs-ish and the ice cream scene repeats itself. Moreover, once its reached the second weigh stage, I am still able to call Alice even my energy is 0.

This is too minor to be a "bug" but in 0.5 when you told alice you didn't want to watch the movie at the movie theatre that she chose, you'd change genre to another random one. Now even if you tell her you don't like her choice of genre, that's the genre you watch.

Just after the mental breakdown and the first sister visit, when you go bowling, "how about a drink break" lines repeats again after Alice talked about wanting pretzels (just wanting, not getting). not a major issue.

Now that's a strange one. I haven't changed anything that would cause that to happen, but I'll look into it :)

That's a strange one. Alice should decide to go for ice cream at least once very early on. I'll check into it. Thanks :)

Can you check that you're playing the latest test version (0.6b)? That should be fixed.

I visited the ice cream parlour for the first time at some point around stage 2 or 3, and everyone was talking like they'd already met before.

After Alice has eaten the cake she won from the Bowling I get a error when she leaves. (game/alicebowling.rpy, line 701)

I still seem to be able to call Alice and do activities even when at 0 energy. I just noticed it at stage 3 Alice, but it's possible it was going on before this.

Just noticed that after you go through the scene at work where she's gained weight, it doesn't happen again and goes through as normal.

When you go to the park and encounter Becca while Alice is at +31 pounds I think, if you select to go over to her it immediately skips to back home.

had another minor glitch where if you wait to go bowling till Alice is bigger than stage one the last image will revert to stage one for the rest of the scene

Do you know which weight stage Alice is at when it happens? (If you're not sure, telling me what outfit she's wearing should let me work it out). There are well over 2,000 lines of code in that scene, so the more I can narrow it down, the easier it will be to find.

One of the Pizza scenes will skip the visual scene but play the dialogue until Alice gets in the seat next to the player then continue like normal.

Weird. I have absolutely no idea why that's there! But it's gone now. Thanks :)

Aftermath

Not strictly a bug, but maybe related to the "dog" keyword from the last thread. Sometimes there is a "bing" message in the Cafe when you get a coffee.
