Hotel ch.1
🕑 Added 2024-05-29 15:02:23 +0000 UTCHarry Potter approached the Star Hotel, a true gem from the 1920s, brimming with opulence and mysticism. This three-story building housed only twelve rooms, each richly decorated for an exclusive clientele. As he reached the entrance, he pressed a button and showed his face to a discreetly placed camera, savoring the summer warmth while a cool breeze provided relief from the city heat.
A melodious chime sounded, and the gilded entrance doors swung open before him. His steps echoed off the polished marble floors. The walls of the lobby were lined with intricately carved mahogany, and a large chandelier hung from the ceiling, its crystals refracting light to create colorful patterns on the floor.
The desk was a simple table, behind which stood a high-backed chair. A computer monitor and an open laptop were the only modern amenities. Vases of freshly cut flowers adorned the desk, and a light floral scent, reminiscent of elegant perfume, wafted through the air.
Harry had researched the hotel before their meeting via the fireplace. Not much information was available in the city; just enough to know that this place was meant for those who didn’t ask the price before making a purchase. Despite his investigations, Harry felt somewhat unprepared for the setting. He had grown up in a cupboard under the stairs and currently lived in his truck. The Star Hotel was an entirely new experience for him.
"You must be Harry," a sultry voice called out. Harry turned to see Bellatrix Black, the hotel’s owner, seated on an antique chaise longue. Her dark, wavy hair highlighted her porcelain skin and ruby-red lips. Dressed in an elegant black dress that hugged her curves, she exuded an aura of old Hollywood glamor. A single ruby pendant hung between her breasts.
At 45, Bellatrix Black looked like an actress from Hollywood’s golden era of the 1950s. Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she looked him up and down.
"Sit down, Harry," she purred, patting the space beside her. "Let’s get to know each other better."
Feeling exposed in his cheap suit, Harry hesitantly took a seat. Her eyes lingered on his attire for a moment, raising a perfectly groomed eyebrow before returning her gaze to him. He remained calm and focused under her scrutiny, but internally he felt like a fish out of water in such an extravagant setting.
"Before we begin, I’d like to get to know you better," she said. "I called your previous place of employment, but they refused to talk to me."
"I figured they wouldn’t," Harry sighed, shaking his head sadly.
"Tell me about your last job," she requested, leaning closer. Her perfume filled his nostrils with an intoxicating scent. "What did you do, and why did you leave? Tell me in your own words, darling."
Darling? Harry thought. Does she call all her employees that?
"Well, as I told you via the fireplace, I was a bouncer at a club in Hogsmeade," he said, trying to maintain eye contact while struggling with the urge to stare at her chest.
"Really? What happened?" She seemed intrigued.
"A drunken Hogwarts student pulled a wand on me one night, so I defended myself," he shrugged nonchalantly. "It turned out he was the son of someone important. Magical England is a place where old families have a lot of say, and the club didn’t want any trouble, so they let me go."
To his surprise, Bellatrix patted his thigh like an old friend.
"Good for you," she said with a devilish smile. "It sounds like that bastard deserved it."
Her approval sent a thrill through him, making him feel more at ease. The way she said "bastard" also excited him, shockingly contrasting with her elegant demeanor. There was an intimacy in how she spoke to him that he hadn’t expected from the cold and formal conversation they had over the phone.
Bellatrix surprised him again by leaning closer, her breath warm on his ear as she whispered conspiratorially, "So now you’re ours, Harry. Our live-in concierge."
"Yes, ma’am," Harry replied, suddenly aware of the proximity between them.
"Are you nervous?" Bellatrix asked with a teasing smile. "This must be a very new situation for you."
"Maybe a little," he admitted.
"That’s good. It means you care," she said. "Now let’s go over your duties. It’s important to get straight to business as soon as possible. Do you agree?"
"I agree."
Bellatrix smiled and clasped her hands on her lap, drawing Harry’s eyes to her long legs and the black high heels she wore.
"Here at The Star Hotel, our guests expect a certain level of service," Bellatrix explained. "As the concierge, you are responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients."
She gestured around the opulent lobby, emphasizing the building’s grandeur. Her nails were painted a deep red, matching the ruby pendant between her breasts.
"This hotel has a rich and intriguing past," Bellatrix continued. "It was built in 1891, a time when Magical England was vibrant and was the center of the magical world. Originally, it served as a rather naughty establishment—a brothel and speakeasy hidden in the shadows of prohibition."
She paused, savoring the weight of her words, before continuing.
"Tragically, in the 1950s, the building was ravaged by a fire caused by an attack from Grindelwald’s fanatics, burning it to ashes. But the spirit of the hotel refused to die. It was rebuilt and rose from the ashes like a phoenix. For several decades, it served as a humble furniture store. But in 2010, my mother persuaded me to purchase this place and restore the building’s lost glory. We shared a vision of a women-only hotel, where our guests could feel completely at ease in their surroundings. My mother passed away before the renovation was completed. I named it the Star in her honor, as she began the star tradition of the Black family. Every day, I am reminded of her presence."
Her gaze lingered on the elegant architecture surrounding them, a testament to her vision and dedication.
"That’s an incredible story," Harry said.
Bellatrix nodded to him, smiling appreciatively. She seemed pleased that he was impressed by the history of the Star Hotel.
Taking a deep breath, Bellatrix returned to the matter at hand.
"We have only three floors and twelve rooms, but our guests are demanding. You must do everything to meet their needs."
Harry nodded, eager to show his willingness to meet her expectations. Bellatrix explained that he would work the reception desk from six in the evening until midnight and be on call until nine in the morning when Frank, the day shift manager, arrived. He would work from Wednesday to Sunday, with Monday and Tuesday as his weekend.
"Remember, our guests value discretion and personalized attention. Always address them by name, anticipate their needs, and never hesitate to offer assistance or recommendations."
"I understand," Harry replied.
"Excellent. Now, unless you have more questions, I’ll show you how the reception works."
"Actually, I do have a question, Miss Black."
"Bellatrix. Please."
"Bellatrix."
"Better. Go ahead."
Harry cleared his throat, taking a moment to consider his wording.
"How is it legal for the Star Hotel to accept only women?" he asked, genuinely curious about the unusual policy. "Isn’t that discriminatory?"
Bellatrix’s smile widened, revealing perfect white teeth that seemed to gleam in the dim light.
"You’re inquisitive, aren’t you? That’s a very insightful question, Harry."
Harry wasn’t sure if she was patronizing him or impressed. Bellatrix was a woman who liked to keep people off balance. Or perhaps she simply enjoyed toying with younger men. Harry might have only been 23, but he’d seen enough cougars prowling the clubs to recognize one. And Mrs. Bellatrix Black was a predator of the highest order.
“Well, to answer your question, we do not serve the public,” Bellatrix said. “Our hotel caters to a network of private clubs and organizations. All guests are either members of these clubs or are personally granted access by a club member.”
“Interesting. So most of your guests are regulars?” Harry inquired.
“Indeed. Many of them come for extended stays, sometimes for weeks or even months. They come here seeking privacy and an escape from everyday life. We do not offer catering or standard hospitality services. We are less of a hotel and more of a private residence for our guests.”
“I understand.”
“Any other questions?” Bellatrix asked, her gaze piercing into his.
“No, I think that’s all, Miss Black.”
“Bellatrix,” she corrected him. “Call me Miss Black one more time, and I might have to spank you, darling.”
A dozen retorts flitted through Harry’s mind for this sensual woman. Instead, he nodded and straightened his jacket. “I’m ready to continue,” he told her.
“Excellent,” she said. “Allow me to introduce you to Frank.”
Bellatrix led Harry to the reception desk. A tall, silver-haired man with a warm smile emerged from the door behind the desk. His sudden appearance made Harry wonder how he knew he was needed. Anticipating the needs of your boss—definitely a skill I need to develop quickly if I want to survive in this job.
“Frank, this is Harry, our new concierge.”
“Ah, fresh blood! Welcome aboard, Harry,” Frank extended his hand. Harry couldn’t help but notice the strength in his grip. Frank had a friendly and genuine demeanor that immediately put Harry at ease. He understood why Bellatrix had chosen Frank as the primary liaison between the Star Hotel and its guests.
“Very nice to meet you, Frank. I look forward to working with you.”
---
“Harry, let me show you our security system,” Bellatrix indicated a monitor displaying various angles from outside and inside the hotel. “We have enchanted cameras at the entrance, in the lobby, and in all the hallways. It will be your duty to monitor them during your shift. The Star Hotel was the first establishment of its kind in England to adopt Muggle technology. You wouldn't believe how many wizards look for runes monitoring them and completely miss the blatantly obvious cameras.”
“Understood,” Harry nodded, mentally noting the position of each camera.
“As for check-in, it’s quite simple,” Bellatrix continued, pointing to a large, leather-bound book on the counter. “Our guests need only sign in here. All other details are provided by the private organizations they belong to, and we receive them electronically.”
“I see,” Harry replied, admiring the old-world charm of the guest book.
“The room keys are kept in the concierge suite. This key fob unlocks the front doors for our guests. This mobile phone is connected to our main line. During your shift, you must keep both with you at all times.”
Bellatrix handed Harry the key fob and an iPhone, their fingers briefly touching. It was a deliberately provocative gesture that Bellatrix seemed to relish.
“Next, let me show you where you’ll be staying,” Bellatrix said, leading him through the door behind the desk. Right behind the desk? That’s very convenient. The line between my work and personal life is going to be very thin.
Harry followed Bellatrix into a spacious, well-furnished apartment. High ceilings and elegant decor gave it a luxurious feel, matching the hotel’s ambiance.
“The room keys and spares are kept here,” she said, pointing to a rack on the wall holding a dozen old-fashioned brass keys. “Our guests sometimes take the keys home as souvenirs, so we always keep spares on hand.”
Bellatrix ran her fingers over the keys, making them jingle. It was a pleasant sound, the clinking of brass like wind chimes.
“This is the living room and kitchen,” Bellatrix said. “The Star Hotel does not provide food or drinks for its guests, but you might be asked to provide hot water or ice cubes. You can cook your meals here, but you are not allowed to prepare any strongly scented foods that might disturb our guests. So, no fish!”
“I hate fish anyway,” Harry assured her.
“Half of the space is allocated for this storage room,” Bellatrix said, opening a door to a cavernous room. “We keep spare linens, folding cots, toilet paper, and other items our guests might need here. Even dog treats. Everything else is handled by a cleaning company and local delivery services.”
Harry nodded, gaining a better understanding of what the hotel provided and what it didn’t.
“See this light?” Bellatrix asked, pointing to a fixture above the storage room door. “It will blink and an alarm will go off if a guest calls the reception after midnight. You must answer the phone, no matter when it rings. Keep the phone close, even when you’re showering! Consider it company during your bath. You like company during your bath, don’t you?”
“I usually shower alone.”
“What a shame,” she said with a sly smile on her lovely face. Images of bathing with Bellatrix flashed through Harry’s mind, which was undoubtedly her intention.
“This is your bedroom,” Bellatrix said, opening a door to reveal a large room adorned with antique furniture. A huge four-poster bed dominated the space. “Legend has it that Minister Archimeus Green himself once slept in this bed. With his mistress, if the rumors are to be believed.”
Harry had no idea who the hell that minister was, so he just nodded. Bellatrix seemed to sense his confusion.
“But who knows? It might just be a rumor,” Bellatrix teased, her voice low and husky as she moved closer to him. He felt the warmth radiating from her body as she lightly touched his arm. She was a tall woman, almost matching his six-foot height in her heels.
“Still, it’s a nice bed, isn’t it?” she whispered. “Who knows what stories such an antique could tell?”
Harry Potter stood awkwardly, trying to suppress the rush of blood to his groin as Bellatrix stroked his arm. “Yes,” he said, somewhat lamely.
“I need to see you in a proper suit,” Bellatrix breathed into his ear.
Surprised, Harry felt his blood surge to his cock at her words. He shifted uncomfortably, trying to conceal his growing erection. Bellatrix must have been aware of his arousal. She stayed close, her breast lightly pressing against his arm.
“I’m not sure what you mean?”
“Your suit, darling. It’s not appropriate for the Star Hotel.”
Harry’s cheeks flushed with embarrassment. “I know it’s not much,” he stammered, glancing down at the cheap fabric hanging off his shoulder. “But it’s all I have.”
Bellatrix smiled sympathetically. “It will do for now, but I insist on getting you a proper suit. I’ll take measurements later. You’ll have to strip down to your underwear for me. Is that going to be a problem?”
“Not at all,” Harry replied.
“Make yourself comfortable, Harry,” Bellatrix said, her breath warm on his neck. “Your first shift starts tonight at six. I’m sure you’ll do wonderfully.”
“Thank you. I won’t let you down, Miss Black.” A quick slap on the butt made him jump.
“I warned you,” she said. “Bellatrix, darling. Only Bellatrix.”
“I won’t forget, Bellatrix,” Harry promised.
“See that you don’t,” Bellatrix replied, her eyes glinting. “Unless you enjoy getting spanked?”
“I was a bouncer,” Harry said. “I’ve dealt with worse.” Bellatrix’s laughter echoed as she left the room, leaving Harry alone with his jumbled thoughts, pounding heart, and aching erection.
„What the hell have I gotten myself into?:
After regaining his composure, Harry spent the afternoon with Frank, who familiarized him with the layout of the hotel and its amenities. As they walked through the quiet corridors and passed closed doors, Harry couldn’t help but wonder what kind of women frequented this place. Were they all like Bellatrix? He was intrigued, but he also knew that his professionalism was more important than his curiosity.
As the clock neared the start of his shift, Harry returned to the concierge apartment to get ready. He combed his hair, then combed it again. He adjusted his ill-fitting suit, trying to make it look at least halfway decent. He straightened the tie around his neck, clumsily following the steps he’d learned from a YouTube tutorial. He managed to tie a decent knot, though it still felt strange around his throat.
You've come a long way from trailer parks and nightclubs, buddy. This is a whole new world. Don’t mess it up!
He stepped into the lobby just before 6:00 PM, his heart pounding with anticipation.
“Welcome to your first night at The Star,” Frank said, patting him on the shoulder. “You’ll do fine, son. Call me or Bellatrix if you need anything.”
Harry took Frank’s words to heart. No matter what, he was determined to prove himself to Bellatrix and rise to the challenge of this new environment.
