Hotel ch.2

Guests came and went throughout the evening, mostly middle-aged women, affluent clients of private clubs who used The Star. To Harry’s surprise, they all immediately recognized that he was new to the concierge role. As they approached the reception desk, their eyes scanned him up and down, assessing his youth, physique, and cheap suit.
Harry introduced himself and asked how their day had been, hoping to make a good first impression. Despite his efforts, they all seemed aware of his inexperience, and he sensed their surprise. A few inquired about the previous concierge, a man named Ed, whom they seemed to like. Knowing nothing about him, Harry referred them all to Bellatrix. A few women appeared annoyed by his lack of knowledge.
As the night progressed, Harry grew increasingly anxious, realizing that he had very little experience dealing with this type of clientele. He worried that he might say or do something wrong and jeopardize his new job.
Aside from these awkward interactions, the only notable incident of the night involved Mrs. Longbottom from room 3B. She returned from an early dinner, looking quite upset.
“Good evening, Mrs. Longbottom,” Harry greeted her as she approached the reception. “I hope you enjoyed your dinner?”
“It was fine, thank you, Harry,” she replied, her voice deep and resonant. “The boeuf bourguignon at Tom’s was particularly good tonight.”
“Excellent. I’m glad you enjoyed your meal. You look upset, though. Is there something I can help with?”
Mrs. Longbottom glanced over her shoulder, her expression worried.
“I had an unpleasant encounter with a vagrant on the street. He demanded money in a very threatening manner. When I ignored him, he ran in front of me and exposed himself.”
“That’s awful, Mrs. Longbottom. I’m very sorry that happened to you. Are you alright?”
“Just a bit shaken,” she replied. “Nothing more.”
“Should I call the Aurors?”
She shook her head. “No, that won’t be necessary. I have a headache and would rather not deal with them tonight. They rarely help in such situations anyway. Our minister is useless, and the head of the Aurors is deeply corrupt. The man who accosted me was tall and thin, wearing tracksuit bottoms and a t-shirt. Perhaps you could keep an eye out for him and other vagrants?”
“Of course,” Harry assured her, frowning with concern. “I’ll make sure to address the matter.”
“Thank you, Harry. It worries me that these incidents seem to be increasing. The Star has always been a safe haven for women, a place where we can feel secure. These incidents undermine that sense of safety. If the situation doesn’t improve, I’m afraid I’ll have to find a more comfortable place for my trips to the city.”
“I hope it doesn’t come to that,” Harry said.
“It’s not your fault, Harry. I feel better knowing a young man like you is on the premises in the evening. It makes us all feel safer. I suspect that’s why Bellatrix hired you.”
Harry felt a mix of discomfort and flattery at Mrs. Longbottom’s comment, but he maintained a professional demeanor.
“I’ll do my best to ensure our guests’ safety, Mrs. Longbottom. And if you need anything else, please don’t hesitate to let me know.”
“Thank you, Harry. I appreciate it.”
With a small nod, she turned and headed towards the elevator, her heels clicking on the polished marble floor.
Harry watched her go, pleased with her response but also angered by the encounter with the vagrant.
Despite the peaceful atmosphere, The Star had a problem with homeless people harassing its clients. Several guests asked Harry to meet them outside and escort them safely from their taxis. He checked the security cameras but saw nothing unusual outside the hotel. Nevertheless, he took a moment to step outside and look around.
Harry immediately noticed a greasy-looking man standing by the housewares shop. Despite the warm day, he wore a heavy coat and a baseball cap. They locked eyes for a moment before the man turned and walked away, glancing back several times. Harry remained in place, making sure the man knew he was being watched.
He watched the man disappear down the street, his pulse quickening. He didn’t like the way the man had looked at him. He wasn’t scared, high, or even mentally unstable. As a bouncer, Harry had dealt with all kinds of disturbed people and knew the signs.
This guy was different. He looked and walked as if he had a purpose. He didn’t match the description of the vagrant Mrs. Longbottom had mentioned, but Harry still memorized his face and made a mental note to keep an eye out if he reappeared.
Harry wondered why these vagrants seemed to target The Star when there were other businesses down the street that were busier and had more customers. On either side of The Star were quiet residential buildings. A small shop selling luxury housewares occupied the ground floor of one of the buildings. Foot traffic in their area was minimal. It wasn’t the best location for aggressive peddlers.
The door to the housewares shop opened, and an older, burly man stepped out.
“Looks like you scared him off,” he said.
“For now, at least,” Harry replied. “I hope he doesn’t come back. Several of our guests have complained.”
“I can see why. I’ve seen these vagrants loitering outside my shop, scaring away my customers. It’s not good for business.”
“Why don’t the Aurors do anything about them?” Harry asked.
“Don’t be naive,” the burly man laughed. “The Aurors aren’t interested in the minor issues that we, humble taxpayers, might have.”
“I suppose not.”
The man gave Harry an appraising look. “You must be the new concierge at The Star.”
“I am.”
The portly man extended his hand. “I’m Grady Salazar. I own this shop.”
“Harry Potter,” Harry said, shaking Grady’s hand. “Has aggressive panhandling been a big problem here?”
“Lately, yes. I don’t know why. This neighborhood has always been quiet. You know, my father owned this building before it became a hotel. He ran his furniture business here. ‘Three floors of high-quality furniture!’ That was his slogan. Back in his day, there were no vagrants harassing citizens. Those were better times.”
“So I’ve heard,” Harry said. “But it still doesn’t explain why they’re attracted to this area.”
“Maybe it’s the hotel?” Grady suggested.
“How so?” Harry asked.
Grady shrugged. “A hotel exclusively for wealthy women in a secluded part of the city? Maybe they think The Star Hotel is an easy target?”
Harry considered his words. Gossip on the street might have painted a target on the hotel. He made a mental note to discuss personal safety with the guests when outside the hotel with Bellatrix.
“The world today, huh?” Grady sighed. “Going to hell in a handbasket. We need to watch out for each other.”
“Agreed. Nice to meet you, Mr. Salazar.”
“Good luck, Harry! Drop by my shop anytime for a cup of coffee. We businessmen have to stick together.”
Harry nodded and returned to the hotel, reflecting on what he had learned today. Mr. Salazar seemed like a friendly and engaged business owner. It was good to have a neighbor like him.
He kept an eye on the security monitor, but the rest of the shift passed quietly.
Just before midnight, as Harry was about to retire to the concierge apartment for the night, Bellatrix returned. She walked through the front door, the purple dress she wore clinging to her curves in a way that was both calculated and arousing.
As promised, Bellatrix had come to take his measurements.
“Did your first night go well?” she asked, leading him to the back.
“Very well,” Harry replied, acutely aware of her hand resting lightly on his shoulder as they entered the apartment. “Although Mrs. Longbottom in 3B had a problem with an aggressive panhandler when she returned from dinner. He demanded money, and when she refused, he exposed himself to her.”
“Disgusting!” Bellatrix said angrily. “We’ve had a significant increase in such incidents lately. It’s outrageous.”
“Mrs. Longbottom mentioned that she might have to seek other accommodations if these incidents continue.”
Bellatrix nodded. “Many of our guests share her concerns. They must feel safe. That’s why I hired a man of your stature.”
Bellatrix’s hand slid across Harry’s back, sending shivers down his spine.
“We’ll need to have a long conversation about security and other matters,” she said softly. “Step one is fitting you for a new suit. And now... strip for me, darling.”
Harry took a step toward the bedroom, but Bellatrix stopped him with a hand on his back.
“No need for false modesty,” she said. “You can undress here. In front of me.”
Harry felt a flush rise on his neck at her request. This seemed entirely inappropriate. Bellatrix had been flirting with him since their first meeting, but this was a step beyond flirting. Bellatrix looked at him with a hungry gaze. All the fantasies he had about this woman ran through his mind. How far was she willing to go?
He removed his jacket, laying it on the sofa. He hesitated before taking off his trousers, but Bellatrix waited impatiently until he finally unzipped and let them fall to the floor. Standing there in his shirt and boxers, Harry felt very exposed, but Bellatrix’s eyes danced with appreciation.
“You have a beautiful physique, Harry,” she said, stepping close and pulling out a fabric tape measure. “It would be a shame to hide it in drab clothes.”
Her fingers brushed across his chest and shoulders as she took measurements. She stood so close he could smell the scent of her shampoo wafting from her thick, dark curls. He shifted uncomfortably as his cock tingled in his boxers.
When she finished measuring Harry’s torso, Bellatrix leaned in close to purr in his ear.
“And now your length,” she said, her voice sensual and commanding.
Harry cleared his throat and stared straight ahead as Bellatrix knelt before him. Despite his best efforts, blood continued to rush to his groin, hardening his cock.
Bellatrix placed the tape at his crotch. As her fingers brushed along his inner thigh, nearing his growing arousal, Harry tried to remain calm. She looked up at him with a knowing smirk before deliberately letting her hand rest on his cock.
The electricity between them was palpable, and Harry couldn’t deny the effect she had on him. There was no way Bellatrix could miss his cock obscenely filling his boxers.
Bellatrix smiled at him. Slowly, she withdrew her hand, evidently pleased with his reaction. She stood, making notes in her phone’s note app.
“I’ll have your suit ready by tomorrow evening,” she said, leaning close, her breath warm on his skin. “I can’t wait to see you in it. I have a feeling it will be quite... fitting.”
She left the apartment, giving him a lingering look at his crotch before closing the door. Harry slumped against the wall, still aroused and trembling. Now he had no doubts about her intentions. He couldn’t deny his own, either.
His cock still throbbed uncomfortably in his boxers. Making sure he had his phone with him, he headed to the shower to cool down.
