Ideas for SYNTH
🕑 Added 2021-02-11 18:35:47 +0000 UTCHey guys, today I'd like to share with you some of the many things you might consider using SYNTH for.
Because of the new experimental "propagate multiple layers to multiple selections" feature (see video: https://youtu.be/lpZTIRWXe00 ) it's now easier than ever to create one-button generative designs.
We call it experimental, because we don't as yet have a good interface for it. Mark and I are already working on V1.5 which will solve the UI issue.
So, what kinds of things can you do with SYNTH?
Here are some that come to mind:
1. Create sci fi boxes with a single recipe. Then user SYNTH's ITERATOR to generate hundreds of different designs, choose the ones you like and then populate different sized boxes to create a corridor storage room full of them.
2. Use SYNTH to create an army of mechs, each one unique. This is a bit of a challenge, but one I'm interested to see someone try (or... I may just do it!).
3. Use SYNTH to create different studio layouts for setting up renders. Again, iterate to find the best ones and then generate the ones you like.
4. Use SYNTH to create a data center room of rack servers, including cables.
5. Use SYNTH to create some futuristic sci fi buildings, complete with signage and lighting.
And, this picture above: I took one of my good friend's sketch and replicated the left of it as shown in these pictures. I'm sure Syd would be impressed. He always was fascinated with computer generated design.
Those are but a few ways to consider using SYNTH!

Use Synth to create spaceships hence creating a full fleet of different capital ships?? That would be awesome... not to mention time saving as well!!

We worked on several projects together. He and Roger took me out for my 60th birthday to one of his favorite steak houses. Great memories. He is missed. I still stay in touch with Roger-- what a great guy.
