Hope everyone had a nice holiday season. I sure did. Spent time with the wife and daughter. Started working with leather and am enjoying that quite a bit. Using my laser cutter to cut out my designs (created in Inkscape<-- wonderful tool) and saddle stitch them myself. We did some nice Christmas ornaments and a few wallets and leather bags. Fun stuff!
So, I'm working on the replacement addon for Simple Sketch as Blender 4.3 broke it completely-- and it need a 100% rewrite. And I have to do this in chunks as this will hopefully be much better than Simple Sketch-- and much easier to use as well.
One of the first things I need to do is to replace all materials on all objects in a scene with a white material. And since I was going to do that, I also decided to allow users to choose any material they want. Of course Cycles has always had a material override feature-- but EEVEE never has-- so I thought I'd work on one. And this addon is the result. It's still beta at this point, but feel free to use it. Don't forget DO NOT SAVE YOUR SCENE unless the Original button is highlighted or else the next time you open your file all the materials will be gone. I thought about saving the materials to custom object properties, but then things get bloated really fast-- so in the interest of a more speedy interface and smaller file size, I decided not to. Let me know if you think this is the wrong approach.
This only works on Blender 4.3+
Just drag/drop the zip file onto the blender window and it will install in the addons folder. Look at the bottom of the Tools tab in the N panel for the controls. And.. let me know if you run into any significant issues. Thanks :-)

The download doesn't seem to work for me. I get a Dropbox page that's blank.
