Fabulous geo nodes setup. I've been playing with them for hair, via a great set of tutorials here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaaSpm7khjs. It's got a technique for braiding strands mathematically, which could also be applied to cabling to twist them around each other differently. Thanks for sharing these!

Yes, as I say in the video that there is no intersecting business logic in this geometry nodes and in fact I don't think it's even possible.

Awesome as always! Thank you so much for all you do for the community! Are the cables supposed to be intersecting in places? Didn’t know that was by design or accident? Regardless it’s awesome! And love the ribbon style feature as well! (Technically that answers my question of then intersecting cables I guess)..
