I wasn't familiar with this format, so I looked it up and found this video which does on A/B test between modern HD and U-Matic and the fidelity of the U-Matic video is shockingly high: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PLik4iienPY I'm looking forward to checking out the results of your efforts, Jason!
