I think that the teacher that got arrested might come back for or maybe the student he was dating. It was a ten year flashback and Alex said that he'd be halfway through his sentence in five years during the flashback which means he should be getting out of prison right about now.

A lot of shows sneak in references in license plates, classroom doors and things like that. So it's probably something.

I’m not sure if it means anything. To be honest, I didn’t even notice the license plate while watching. Then again, I do often miss the subtle things like that.
