Torchwood 3x4 Reaction Early Access

There's four men in a boat with four cigarettes but no matches, how do they manage to smoke? They threw one cigarette overboard and made the boat a cigarette lighter!

Adele

Eric is right. He would be committing those kids to a life worse than death. Sometimes death is the kinder option.

Liam Skoda

I agree with Eric. They would have fought harder if they thought *their* kids were at stake. The school rankings idea is cheating the system. The public would have sided with that. It’s what Jack said, they would fight to the death.

It's available through google drive.

This is the episode that made me hate this whole fucking season. My precious Ianto. :(

The full length version of this video on your website is missing, you posted the Vikings 5x05 reaction in its place.

Blindwave: "WHERE'S THE DOCTOR?!" Gwen: "I don't need to ask anymore. I know the answer now."

Generally because its a way of killing an opponent without even the pretence of a fight, that removes the user from any of the potential dangers dangers normally associated with any kind of fair fight. Like agreeing to a duel then having someone shoot your opponent in the back.

I will never understand why the use of certain weapons is for pussies. I mean I get it for warrior races but I don't see how using virus is a pussy move. At this rate any weapon is for pussies since it's meant to give you the advantage and so are bullet vest and any other armor. I expect warriors to like battle I don't exactly expect them to just handicap themselves to face weaklings.

When I watched this episode I was worried the 456 would just disappear once they were challenge and they were just bluffing. Some kind of vague message on how you should always stand for yourself and bullies are just scared people. I'm glad I was wrong.

Doby Greg

I enjoy the discussion very much. I was worried we would just have we should not sacrifice kids ever. But rather than that we had a discussion on how they could fight and if it's not possible what criteria would you choose the children on.

Becky Howell

I remember when this aired I tried to come up with every possible theory of how Ianto couldn’t be dead because I was so devastated. Watching this reaction is the first time I’ve seen this episode/Iantos death since that day 😭

grrdoh

Eric is completely correct, it is ethically beyond contempt for any government to even consider such action. Given the choice is to fight or sell out the children of your own species you must fight anything else would show our species not worth saving and deserving of extinction.

And Executive Producer of Big Finish, who does all the audios. :)

The Doctor

The bald guy who spoke about selling the story as a good thing, is Nicholas Briggs, voice of the Daleks and cybermen.

Ianto was such a popular character that, to this day, there is still a shrine to him at the area in Cardiff Bay where the Torchwood entrance is suppose to be.
