Good Lord Shane need work on memory skills she played Rob Starks wife who was killed at the Red Wedding in one of the most terrible ways in Game Of Thrones

I found myself shouting Myocroft! When he told Mrs. Hudson to shut up. I did not expect Sherlock to do the same. I love it when characters like his start to warm up to people.

This was definitely one of my favorite episodes of the entire series. The Irene Adler actress is phenomenal. Glad Shane is liking the series.

When I first watched that, I watched the Director's Commentary version immediately after and then the regular episode one more time the next day. Such a good one!!
When will the full length be uploaded?

She had moriarty save Sherlock in the pool so that he could crack the code on her phone about the jumbo jet as it was useful information for moriarty to have to blackmail mycroft into doing whatever they wanted him to

The actress who played Jeanette is Oona Chaplin, the granddaughter of Charlie Chaplin and the Great-granddaughter of American playwright, Eugene O'Neil. The reason why Shane recognized her is that she also played Talisa, Rob Stark's wife in Game of Thrones. I am glad he figured it out in the end.
I thought they did that only for series premieres, not season ones.

Oh wow, that sounds like a great topic! I enjoy all incarnations of the Irene. There is always something added to the character that just makes her an equal to Sherlock.
Great analysis guys.

Since this is a season premiere, and Rick mentioned it, isn't full-length for free? I can't access it on the website, its still on the $10 tier and not for free like the other season premieres
Juliette
Yup! Oona Chaplin played Talisa. She was also in the White Christmas episode of Black Mirror and is the great grand daughter of Charlie Chaplin!

Isn't Watson's girlfriend the same actress who plays Robb Starks' wife in Game of Thrones?

1895 is a reference to a poem by Vincent Starrett about Holmes and Watson. The second stanza is: A yellow fog swirls past the window-pane As night descends upon this fabled street: A lonely hansom splashes through the rain, The ghostly gas lamps fail at twenty feet. Here, though the world explode, these two survive, And it is always eighteen ninety-five.

FUCK YEAH. Love this ep. Wrote my dissertation on it (comparing Irene Adler in this, Guy Ritchie's films and Elementary)
