At the end of the day yeah she did some monstrous shit but so have and will so many others there needs to be a system in place because you've got some people with life in prison some working off their sentence one hung and a couple killed in the woods at night. Each are being judged and decided individually if they had an actual justice system that's objective it would avoid the shit thats going to come from these actions.

In my opinion it's street justice but justice all the same, it feels justified when The Punisher or General Maximus does their thing. If they had tortured her or killed one of her friends or family it would have been revenge.

Both were quite linked to each other(their grief motivate them to seek justice Rick refused) and separating them is an easy way to invalidate fair points.

Justice is fair retribution for your actions. Revenge is retribution for actions that personally hurt you. They decided that murders shouldn't go unpunished like Rick decided. I think wanting to punish murders that affected you fits both. Negan went to prison. The saviors got immunity.

It's kinda both, I mean in this society there basically is no prison. The guys who were murdering your best friends and family last year are free and living around you. You'd never trust them, never forgive them and yeah you can kinda see why they want rid of them. But at the same time you can understand Rick's point of view. It's one hell of a marshmallowy clusterfuck.

Maybe in season 4 it could be considered harsh justice, but this isn't a completely chaotic world anymore - there are rules that define justice and Oceanside did not play by the rules

If it was justice, they'd look for the saviors who had done the worst things overall. But they only went after the saviors who killed members of their families. That makes it revenge

Revenge 100%. I see it like this. In order to have a future now everyone gets a clean slate. You reestablish laws and punishment will be in place if you break those laws . People who don’t agree don’t get to be apart of the community.

This was a revenge killing but also justice, seaside had made there own laws, in this world who has a right to force there law onto others, I’ll tell you if someone mass murder my family let alone in front of me I would do a lot worse then what they where doing.

Compels revenge. It makes me mad because even though, yes the saviours did awful things, so did everyone else. Ricks gang killed people in their sleep. Daryl shot and killed a saviour after he surrendered to him and Rick. No one is innocent in the Apocalypse. Arat surrendered she hasn’t hurt anyone since Simon and Negan have gone, no one deserves to be executed like that.

There was no trial, no law in place to justify what they did and she had done nothing recently to warrant it. It was mob justice and a revenge execution by people personally affected who could not see beyond grief. Definitely revenge.
