Looker said something to the effect that they weren’t controlled by her, so they must be in control of the power themselves. She couldn’t even locate the baby I think she only knew where they were because the jar of goo came out the purse.

Sounded like all the powers came from Looker. And this series has been overstuffed with plots as it is. If they do have powers, we'll never see them.
