I think he doesn't and it will make for a potentially interesting conflict when it is revealed.

I'd be willing to bet that he does. It makes sense that they'd've become acquainted at the Battle of Jakku, especially if Doza defecting from the Empire was a part of why they got to know one another, which would also explain why Poe left Kaz with Yeager as a spy – he'd've had experience in spying with or via Doza.

I think it could make for an interesting relationship if one discovered the other's past or both discovered one another's and they learned to work passed it for the future of the Colossus

Also, as an aside, another question would be if Tora knows her father's past.

Hard to say. I think it a maybe. Perhaps Yeager saved him from Jakku during the fall of the Empire, a plea cause of Doza's daughter and Yeager being reminded of his own wife and child.
