Yeah but Samurai Champloo was made by the same studio and directed by the same guy as Bebop. Thats the only reason I would even recommend it after this series, its a spiritual successor.

Yep I felt the sadness the first time but no tears. Every rewatch since I tear up as soon as the song starts and the list of anime I've cried to is small. To me the reason why would be a spoiler I guess.

The egg scene is the saddest scene in the series man. Like I said previously, its 2 grown men dealing with their feelings by shoving 4 plates of eggs, meant for 4 people, into their mouths, because they don't want to tear up. Rick is a true fan for shedding those tears.

That ending scene was incredibly poignant, just subtle enough to break you. It's always on a rewatch that this episode gets you emotionally.

I hope Ed did reunite with her dad in the end. He’s clearly not the BEST parent, but they clearly still have great chemistry together. He’s almost like Ging, except he actually WANTS his kid to spend time with him.
