And it has to be a haiku. And he has to write it pretty quickly for it to be efficient in a fight or he probably wont have the chance to get the time to write it. As for as abilities go, for me personally it's pretty bad.

i believe one of the drawbacks on Basho’s ability is that if the poem isn’t very good the effects will be really weak, he has to think of a good haiku if he wants something powerful
