I wasn't expecting any deaths at this point in the season and we got 3 in 1 episode, this random point in the season was the perfect unexpected time to do something this big and shocking.

I think it was perfect. When Negan talked about the parallels he saw between his wife and Alpha because of his wife's cancer, it really made me emotional when she died in his arms. It was as if he was losing his wife all over again.

I think one flaw of TWD is that they keep their villains around for too long. It gets to the point of being annoying that no one will take them out. Alpha was no exception. Although, please show, please let Carol put Alpha's head on a pike for her people to find. Maybe with a note that reads "I Angered Queen Carol".

Perfect timing. This allows the last few episodes to focus on setting up S11 and tie off the Whisperer War, allowing Beta to come more into the spotlight and allowing the characters to properly react to Alpha’s death instead of another time jump.

I’m pretty sure it’ll come out that part of his mission was to make sure Lydia wasn’t being held by Alpha somewhere before he killed her. Once he found Lydia it was game on.

I feel like it's a bit formulaic to have the big bad die at the end of the season, this was a nice twist, it caught me and I am hyped to see the fallout! Honestly I feel like with S9-10 they just keep getting things right

I Voted "Perfect time" BUT only considering the present. What comes next? The Walking Dead since the Governor have had a significant follow-up to to take the villain role. Alpha has been a great villain, I guess the we will have Beta as the follow-up? I almost feel as though Beta won't continue the "whisperer" lifestyle. Like Negan said, he wasn't an "Alpha". He follows and now he has no-one to follow. He could just become a: Michael Myers or Jason Vorhees. Individual Serial Killer. Would be interesting.

Doesn't matter when it came to me really, I'm just glad the bitch is gone. That accent really drove me mad and I'm almost glad that Michael Myers Beta is gonna be in charge now as I think he'll be more brutal in a direct way. Because of that we might get some more all out war scenes with Neagan hopefully swinging old Lucille at Whisperer heads.

Carol will think the threat is over but will be blinded by the unyielding rage of Beta. So I guess it happened at just the right time before Alpha turned into a cartoon of a villain

Perfect time, this way the alpha storyline has fulfilled her arc perfectly and not been dragged on to long, also now we can have Beta shine as the big bad in her absence

Perfect time bc it’s also another comic accurate death.....only difference is Negan rolls alpha’s head to Rick but since we don’t have rick I think rolling it to Carol is honestly even better. I just hope Beta is still a threat without alpha

Should've died later, after losing a fight or battle. In the comics the whisperers lost this battle. And Alfa dies the same way. Don't know why they changed this.

As much as I was enjoying her performance, I feel it was the perfect time. I know as a fan I don't want to hear people bitching the arc it lasting too long like they did with Negan's arc. She is no Negan & couldn't "stay" in the show long term in my opinion.
