Because I can, simple. Ppl joke about Blind Wave never getting names right & they know that. And pointing out how to say a name does not perpetuate sub vs dub. That’s the dumbest thing. Ppl were doing the same with Naruto and found it funny cuz his name was said every episode by every character. They empathised the right part eventually and no one was asking them to switch to sub over that. Jesus

There is a dub, with the original cast! Though the VA for Myuri had scheduling conflicts and could not do all the episodes so some of them have a soundalike.

it's not exactly the easiest to localize that line, it's a joke that only really works in Japanese since it's supposed to be broken English but I think he did fine given the circumstances

Of coarse I've watched shows weekly, it's just hard to go back to that standard after having what we do now. Also I didn't spend my whole childhood watching shows and wasting time, now that I'm an adult and I actually enjoy watching more shows and we have binge stuff like Netflix, It's hard to go back. So while I'm so impressed with how terribly you read my age and grasp of entertainment media from a decade ago and back through my one comment, take your shit to someone else.

I have to assume you're young, because this is how people their age consumed media growing up. There was no binge watching unless you got it on VHS/DVD well after the fact, which is not something that was easy to do. I mean, I am binge watcher now for a lot of stuff, but it's not that hard to enjoy a show week by week. I still do it now for some shows.

Yeah this series is great, but it's really easy to drop off at certain points for weeks at a time and resume it later.

Idk how these guys retain interest in shows week by week like this, I couldn't get past episode 10 trying to watching it weekly with them, lose all interest and motivation in characters with such large gaps. (NO I'm not asking them to upload more...I'm just saying, I really envy these guys for that trait, I'm a binge watcher through and through.)

Those things you kind of have to let go of. Especially when it comes to foreign names purely because for all we know it could be a regional thing that its just hard for him to overcome how to pronounce things. Its like if you hung out with a British person and they commented "This guys is ___ years old and he still doesnt know how to say Jaguar right."

LMFAO 15 episodes in and Rick still pronounces Okabe's name wrong even though Makise says his name every episode. It's Oka-BAY! NOT Oka-BEE

I dont know what episode you guys are actually currently on but hopefully you see this in time, For episode 22 you have to watch the credits/after credits, its important.
