Movie Reaction Poll #27

Olenti

Just watched Your Name since I voted for it in this poll... What a win for me. Very good movie.

Fakudan

oh c'mon I want them to do 1917 so bad, but they had to put an anime movie in there, fuck! You Name is awesome tho, so it's not a complete lose I guess.

Karlsson

Please consider including the Steins;Gate movie in a future poll, it’s really nice extra addition to the series.

Pocketsleuth

I'm wondering that, too...might be a week after the poll closes if I had to guess but I'm obviously rooting for the 4th lol

Alexander Bowles

Yeah anime always seems to win when it’s mixed with live action

Alexander Bowles

Need an anime movie poll and a live action movie poll

Abel

YOUR NAMEEEEEEEE AH ONE OF YOU BETTER CRY

Skyro

probably be on the next poll if it doesn't win since it got the second most amount of votes

Catherine Strayhall

I mean my heart says 1917 but your name is also excellent. But nineteenseventeeeeeeeen

Jeffrey

will this come out july 4th or 11th?

Stretch

How the hell has anime now invaded the movie poll? Is there nothing left untarnished anymore!

Can we get Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon like Eric said

DAki

1917 will win the next poll I saw the list and for me it was toss up between your name and 1917. Well I chose Your Name...

DAki

Lol not our fault that many ppl like anime. Your Name is wonderfully animated and wonderfully written. Deserves the win on this poll and many awards it won so..... I also see no difference to anime winning on polls to and Blind Wave constantly reacting to a lot of superhero type TV shows. Shit I would love to get less of superhero tv reactions and better live action shows but if it’s what the ppl want, can’t complain 🤷‍♀️

I actually thought a few weeks ago about how it would be great to see their reaction and thoughts on Your Name, but considered it to be a very slim chance of getting the movie into the poll. So it was a really nice surprise =) And the eng dub is pretty good, too.

Ed Alvey

Ahhh man, I love Your Name but the reaction for 1917 would be great.

Johnny

Just breathe in an out, I tried that didn’t work

HollowAvarice

Dude, if Your Name wins Im gonna flip and cry in joy

astreca

They aren't ever going to watch any anime subbed unfortunately.

deltaforce

not watched any, but I know Shane loves The Last Samurai and Calvin hates Tommy boy so that would be an interesting watch/listen

creeee

i cant wait to watch them compliment the animation and the music and the story...question is, are they gonna do the sub or the dub? t

GollyJunior

‘Your Name’ simply has to win. What a movie, there are no decent reactions to it either. I’ll be getting full length if it wins!

ScarlettMi

It would make for such a fun reaction.

ambrr

I don't get this weird hate for anime whenever it's on a poll, it's literally just another movie on the list but animated, it doesn't make it any less better or worse. Seems to me that people just will always complain no matter what their show loses against and anime is the perfect medium to hate cause it's "animated".

Zaj

Imagine voting for anything other than The Room... Yikes!!

Jocta96

i didnt know there was so much toxicity agaist anime in this community. I mean, i voted for 1917, but your name is an alright movie and i now it will come up again. Some people in the internet jesus

Jak O'Hara

NOOOOOO! it must be 1917!

Kristopher

Definitely 1917

TJ Frangie

I mean probably is better in general. But your name is still pretty good. Definitely still enjoyed it. Maybe they will eventually watch silent voice though.

TJ Frangie

Have you seen the dub? I wasn’t even aware it was dubbed. If they do the dub...I hope it’s good. The sub was really great; definitely don’t want to be disappointed

TJ Frangie

What’s wrong with them reacting to anime? They have plenty of live action content.

GoldArthur

And they clearly don't do it often then, so chill out. Maybe people prefer anime movies. As long as it's a good movie, why do you care? They've been doing way less anime content in the last year. If anyone should be complaining about the type of content, it's anime fans. (though, I wouldn't approve of that either)

Josiah Lee

Yes, and how many of those 23 that weren't anime had to compete against anime films in the polls they won? Point being it just seems like putting anything anime related in a movie/show poll up against non-anime will always, at least most of the time, result in the anime winning. I could be wrong though. I'm just going based off what I've seen.

Erich Bomke

2 out of the 25 movie reactions done have been an anime. 8%. So tell us all what you mean by "Another anime?".

Chris Skalicky

Another anime? Smh

Abby

your name lets gooooooooo

SpeedyCat19

so it seems The Room is going to be the next Tombstone huh

Conner Simpkins

Your Name, let's go baby!

Naveen Thampy

They should put DCAMU on the list

CloudMountainJuror

Ohhh man. Whenever The Last Samurai eventually makes it will be a happy day. That's a beautiful movie.

adb

Your Name.

DF

an anime makes the list and weebs can smell it from across the internet

Trxps

Oh wow, Your Name!!! I'm really hyped for the reaction now!

Sheraya san

YOUR NAME! i was so sure i was going to to vote last samurai but then i saw that.

Jace

ABSOLUTELY YOUR NAME

Tyler

I didn't even need to vote the moment I saw an anime was a choice I knew it was winning

Sorin

Aw, baby didn't get what he wanted so he's throwing a tantrum. We're all entitled to our own tastes but that doesn't mean you need to lash out at an entire fanbase.

KevinFromNewYork

Hell yeah

Avery

Your Name makes me cry every time I watch it. Such a good movie!

Alejandro Gil

Salt

Edward Smith

One day The Room will win one of these!

Darian Kats

1917 is such an amazing film

Jocta96

this one is difficult, i want your name, last samurai, the room and 1917 for different reasons.

Liesmith

The Room.

Two French Bears React

Your name, for sure.

DAki

Both are great movies. But I prefer Your Name too

DAki

YES YOUR NAME

Gage Eakins

Come on everyone you know you want to vote for the room.

Matthew Vandiver

Heck yeah, Your Name is one of my all-time favorite movies!

Punktlig

Your name is so good! I loved it so much!

Dr. Bobcat

Damn! 1917 is so close

Chrissy

They're both pretty great in their own ways.

Parth

Both are great, but I personally think Your Name is much better.

Josiah Lee

1917 seriously needs to win. But I guess any anime on this list will always dominate.

Moisty Justice

not "Your Name"! fuck that. "A Silent voice" is a BETTER OPTION

Username

Fuckin weebs I swear to god

Collin Olson

If 1917 doesn't win this week it needs to stay on here until it does. Filmmaking at its finest. The crew will love it.

yooin

your name!!

Bryan Ok

I for some reason enjoyed your name way to much. Realky want you guys to see it

BigFatSammich

Your Name! Anyway, I hope Parasite gets on the list some day...

Paul Gregory

No longer nice.

Joseph Uribe

Vote 1917 patrons, the crew will love it!

Brady

The guys will love how 1917 is filmed, but looks like YN will win this week :(

KevinFromNewYork

This is the first poll where I'd be happy with either of the top two choices winning.

Skeletor

Looks Like They Gave Up On Starship Troopers it might have won this time. Id like to see them react to DC animated Batman Movie Hush.

Lady Louise

Your Name!!! It is the most successful Japanese anime movie for a good reason! Come on how could you not!

Jason valdez

Calvin and Eric would absolutely love 1917 with the war theme & cinematography

Mike

How is The Last Samurai not even getting votes. What a phenomenal movie!

Haroms

I love anime but 1917 was such a good movie

Liesmith

The Room is the most correct answer. It's a film that defined a generation, and taught us all what it means...to love.

Stig_Ove

Exactly, 1917 is right up their alley, i love Your name, but 1917 were easily one of my best experiences in the the theaters in a long while.

Frank

Your name is alright but watch a silent voice if you want an amazing anime movie

Parth

Your Name all the way! Also, I hope Redline is on the poll too! Another amazing anime movie!

Bigmac

Bruh how mortal kombat not getting the love it deserves here Feelsbadman 😔

Johnny

Your Name ahhhhhhhhh yesssssss!

Deadpool

cmon mortal kombat

Z

Next time ya’ll NEED to include A Silent Voice. If you end up watching Your Name it only feels like the most logical next step.

Dark Aeolus

Don’t know what’s more surprising, Your Name being an option or that it’s actually in the lead?

V

Both animated and live action are difficult to create. Saying that, do you know how hard it is to create a film to look like a one shot, especially a live action film. I'd argue that 1917 was a more difficult film to create than an "Your Name".

AustinMyB

They're too dumb to watch non Eng-dub movies, so rip Parasite. They couldn't even understand The Raid story in Sub.

VanguardDuelist

Good thing I voted for Your Name.

GoldArthur

Just for that, now I REALLY want Your Name to win. It would definitely be better as a couple's reaction than the normal group though.

Erich Bomke

You say anime like its derogatory and the movie isnt fantastically written, with some of the most complex animation cells made to date. You could argue that more talent was involved in creating Your Name than 1917. Your Name, while it may be a japanese animated film, is still worth everyones time. And dont try and counter with the assumption that I dont like 1917. It was incredible, and Roger is the greatest man behind a lens of ALL TIME, but dont think that it should automatically win over "an anime"

yooin

your name all the way baby!!

yooin

Not 'just an anime' lol. It's one of the most highly reviewed animated movies ever. Especially being a Japanese one, it did very well overseas and has a 98% on rotten tomatoes.

Scribbles

Annnnd 1917 is losing out to an anime. Come on people, let's get voting.

Ruben Lopez

I'm gonna weeb and say your name lol

ChiefChill

Come one 1917

Erich Bomke

So tough. Your Name is one of my all time favorites, I even have a killer tattoo of it...but also 1917 is a cinematography masterpiece. Also....where the hell is Parasite people! Where?!?!>!<

Jamie O'Brien

1917 for sure.

carlos fernandez

YOUR NAME

Mr. Big Stuff

1917 or Your Name it's fine either way

normalmighty

Kind of glad to see poll results are just as torn as I am between Your Name and 1917

Will Cee

1917 IS GREATNESSSSS

MOB12

Its always dub for anime

Jon Nelson

I hope Shane will be a part of this reaction!

RationallySassy

I mean the visuals in Your Name still take my breath away when I watch it. But I know that's not what you meant :P

Jon Nelson

1917 is a Masterpiece

RationallySassy

I really like the dub actually :P But both are good

Lawrence Bersamin

The question is if its Your Name will it be sub or dub? Please be Sub

RationallySassy

Your Name is a masterpiece! Hope it wins ^_^ Super enjoyable

Salmonero

I love hearing them talk about good cinematography and filmmaking, so 1917 is a no brainer. Your name is great, but cmon people.. it's Sir Roger Deakins.

Hercule Pyro

Silent Voice is better than your name

Jesse Vincente

Vote Your Name or The Room. No 1917 please hell no.

yooin

Your Name is one of the best animated movies ever. It will have your emotions everywhere. Please give it a chance and vote for it. Id pay hundreds to see them watch it.

Sam h

Man I wish more anime movies were on . Sword of the stranger and so on

yooin

your name please.

Parth

Please vote for Your Name!!! Its so amazing!

Joel

Woul love for some of them to react to the Last Samurai, but 1917 was amazing

Hunter Tober-McGivern

The room

salmonella

oh i’ve never actually seen the dub - i’ll check it out

Michael Rutherford

They only ever do dubbed anime. Which is fine here since Your Name has a pretty good dub.

Matthew’s First Name

Going for Your Name, but 1917 will probably win

Culper (Lukas)

The Last Samurai guys. That one is for Shane.

Bagboy

Boo. 1917 is decent at best.

Matthew Rodkey

There is a dub.

Mike Bernardo

1917 is amazing

Matthew Rodkey

Come on people, Your Name, we gotta get an anime movie from them.

Stig_Ove

Damn this is hard, i love Your name, but 1917 is godly in cinematography

Fighting Wombat

Either 1917 or Your Name. Both incredible films.

gpaul

1917 baby, this is an easy one boys, don’t overthink it

salmonella

if Your Name wins i hope they react to the subbed (idk if there even is a dub lmao)

killian

I'm gonna say 1917 even though I haven't seen it yet. But I've heard nothing but good things about it

Jose rogel

I’m going into lose my shit if Your name doesn’t win

Chaos T

1917 should win this.

SpeedyCat19

I swear to god if The Room doesn't win this one

Steve Deonarine

Your name is the only right answer

MOB12

1917 is so damn good

Jcw490

There is only one correct answer on this list
