But at the same time, if Liam resents Remi for feeling the pain of rejection for a promotion that he really wanted and also Liam kept saying Remi deserves, wouldn’t Liam be a pretty petty friend who Remi shouldn’t feel obligated to please anyway? Liam already knows Remi dislikes going out to begin with, and now Liam is asking Remi to go out with tens of people to celebrate a promotion Remi really wanted and deserved but Liam got instead? That’s a pretty sh1tty and insensitive friend.

To be honest, I hope he talks with Lydia about it and then goes out with his friend. It's a tough situation for everyone. Like, Liam was super supportive of the idea of Remi getting it. Getting the promotion himself probably caught him off guard. Everyone is assuming the worst about Liam. I think he just wants his friend to also be supportive of him as well and is probably worried that Remi might resent him. So I hope Remi can find a way to go. I'm scared for their friendship if not, honestly.
