Oh man, I'm so glad I have a reason to re-watch this. Moon Knight is one of the best Marvel shows imo.

Torron

Great to see you reacting to MK and loving it. It only gets better imo, it´s good on a very high level!

Torron

Then the MCU version did everything right!

AzraRillian

It's interesting that you compared this to Batman, since Moon Knight is kinda Marvels version of the dark knight vigilante archetype.

Han

For me it gets stronger later on

He really did for sure! It felt slightly off but that could of also been a mix of London and another region so I had to check 💕

Yeah it was a good accent, if google had told me he was English I would of believed it tbh. 💕

Octavia

On a scale of Americans doing an English accent... he succeeds rather well. But it also sounds a bit affected to me, not wholly natural. But that might be purposeful as part of the character, don't know. Overall believable though. Plus, we Americans aren't that bothered. (Loved Rob's use of Catherine Tate's 'bovvered' catchphrase.)

Thadman

Moon Knight first appeared in the "Werewolf By Night" comic, where he fought him. So, he was, from the beginning, part of the horror genre of Marvel in the 70s, along with Ghost Rider, Morbius, Blade, Son of Satan (Damian Hellstrom) and Dracula. During this phase of the MCU, they are introducing more characters from their horror lines.

No, Oscar Isaac is not English, I think he did a brilliant job with the accent

Yay my favorite Marvel show!!!!

Steven K

Steven sleepwalks and wakes up in strange places but this was the first time he woke up in danger

Count Monte-Cristo

Yes, Loki with both seasons is very strong show, but this, it warms my soul, so this is No: 1 for me .

Cliff

I hope this gets a session 2

Sydney Elizabeth

I freakin love this show, so excited for this series!!

Toni Weigant

You ever heard of DID or Dissociative (Multiple) identity disorder? And also yes, Moon Knight is kinda Marvels Answer to DCs Batman.

This is such a good show and very underrated imo. I knew nothing about Moon Knight before this show and it was fascinating to experience. Steven talked about the tying himself to the bed to the Human Statue by the way, he said it was because he sleepwalks! So he has no clue about whatever's going on with this Marc person. Oscar Isaacs is a great actor, I can't wait to watch your next reactions!

Such an AMAZING show. So emotional and deep dive into mental health that people don't talk about. I really love the themes of phases 4 and 5 including deaf representation. I'm learning sign language because of marvel and now we have deaf customers

YaYa

lol based on this comment i think you and i feel the same exact way. i’ll be looking out for your comments at the end lol

A top 3 MCU show for me! I loved this! It is going to be so much fun watching you guys figure things out as Steven does or maybe as Marc does? The Venom similarities are there for sure. I am happy to see you guys enjoying the genre diversity of this phase so far. Having so many different styles of movies and shows is one of the main reasons I enjoy Marvel so much. Can’t wait for the next episode!

Yeah, this show is quite perplexing in the first episode...especially if you go into it completely cold. Ancient Egyptian iconography obviously plays very heavily into this and there is a bevy of Easter eggs for those who are well-versed in the topic (I'm sadly not one of them). On a second watch, I love how mirrors and reflections are used throughout the episode - for example, the reflection of Steven in the puddle as he's walking away from the mime. Brilliant camera work!

James

It’s such a different vibe from anything else marvel it’s really good so far though, only 1 episode in and I’m invested in the story. The English accents make it 10x better
