Science Fiction is science-y & possible... Fantasy is magic-y & impossible. Apollo 13 is honestly more 'sci-fi' than most of these that made the cut because it is science based... (and although a true story, all movies are fictionalized.)

I think they will like them too as open minded individuals. Alot of the general audience complained but idc about their opinions. As a DC fan a enjoyed alot of these films. Some definitely could have been better!

I don't think any superhero movies are sci-fi. Transformers flicks are also just kids' fantasy movies like most of the winners of the last poll.

While I don't consider "Man of Steel" as Science Fiction, I did vote for it as I like Snyder's take on the character. Superhero movies and all "Star Wars" movies, etc. are Fantasy. There's no difference between, "A Long Time Ago, in a Galaxy Far, Far Away..." and "Once Upon A Time..."

It'll get there eventually..Since Part 2 is coming out in theaters soon, they'll still have a few months to watch Part 1 before Part 2 comes out for streaming\blu-ray\whatever.. Maybe watch them together, back-to-back?
