Rob - you mentioned being a Lucy Lawless fan. She and Jaime Murray (Lila) were in an amazing show together called Spartacus. I think you and Trin would enjoy it. The first episode is kind of Meh but it picks up and then just keeps getting better. It’s also somewhat historically accurate.

In my mind, Doakes always had to go. He was just too hardcore after Dexter to sustain the role any longer. So, even though Lila was off the crazy / hot charts... she saved Dexter from his unwinnable dilemma by killing Doakes. Part of me was glad, but the other part feels it was much too easy of an out for Dexter. Keeping our fave serial killer from really facing an villainous consequences. It's funny because Dexter lies to and manipulates everyone in his life to feed his dark passenger & survive. Relationships built on lies. Rita would never be with him if she knew his truth. Being with her is selfish. We root for him.... but call out others for manipulation & deception.

I just want to address something Rob said at the end about how they could create tension in further seasons now Dexter's main threats have been eliminated and all I have to say is... trust me they find new and creative ways in every season to cause tension! 😂

To be fair, the writers usually don't know how many seasons there will be or even if they'll get picked up for the next one. Plus it can be challenging to stretch a storyline that much.

s4 would have to be the best, but s3 is pretty great too! 3&4 are maybe my fave seasons, though I love them all

I love season 2. def in my top runners. Season 3 is prob the season I have watched the least (other than like, the final season) altho there are aspects of it I enjoy, but we are that much closer to the GOAT s4

Fair play, we have mixed views about it but I was not shaming Rita or anything like it. Just surprised she was over it so quick. She has no idea also that Lila will be back or not. Just our 2 cents <3

Rita was abused and it would make sense for her to be cautious about all these things, we talk from the character perspective and not our own.

This is my first time watching the show and I agree They for sure should have put this BHB storyline around season 5 knowing how many seasons there are left kinda ruins the tension a little bit

What a season! I often wish this season was later, or at least the BHB storyline because I, like Rob, knew the whole time he had to get away with it because it was only season 2. Nevertheless, I loved seeing the walls close in. Onto the next!

Onto season 3 what an incredible show I love Dexter, Deb and Rita. I’m happy Lila didn’t get away with it she tried to kill the kids

great ending to the season. I don't remember season 3 well, but season 4 is probably widely considered the best. we are getting there slowly but surely! cant wait till next dexter reactions.
