Seems to me that Rita was enjoying the attention from her neighbor. Problem is... besides wanting normality and doing family stuff... Dexter and Rita really have nothing in common. And the fam will never be Dex's priority. So they'll just keep cycling in crisis / appease mode.

Great episode! Trinity terrifies me he’s so unpredictable and when his “mask” starts to slip he’s genuinely scary. I also need Dexter to pay a visit to his neighbor that was hitting on his wife
