Kim Magee

Maybe they will pick it, it's so good, even better than the original

No hate 💕 we welcome suggestions, trying to guess is so much harder 🙈

Jan T

Rob & Trin you guys do a great job, and I love your content. ❤️ You’re the best reaction channel on YouTube and Patreon. It’s just a suggestion that it’s okay to be more specific with your genres. Otherwise people in the group will just nominate anything and everything.

We were worried the poll would be so limited due to previous polls when people were asking for things we had already seen. We live and learn and strive to do better overall ❤️

Jan T

But Cindy, action movies set at Christmas could fall into the category of Christmas based movies. Just saying “Action Movies” means lots of the movies that people suggested have no connection to Christmas at all, and could be seen at any time of the year. I don’t see the point of having a genre based month if the category is going to be made so broad it can include almost anything. We only get Christmas once a year.

Fantasy/action exists. You can mix and match :) just like sci-fi/action

MaggieS61

You’re so right about older movies NEVER making it. I’ve basically given up suggesting older films in this group. Classic, brilliant films that will never see the light of day here. No one is interested. Polar Express with more votes than It’s A Wonderful Life….. just amazing.

will Hancock

the list is so good almost any combo of movies would be a top tier month. pitch black and true lies i loved those movies.

MSephiroth

If they do, we'll just have to keep trying!

Cindy

There are quite a few action movies set at Christmas. Red with Bruce Willis, The Long Kiss Goodnight, Lethal Weapon, Die Hard 1 & 2 are just a few.

Ninaofthe90s

or Winter movies in general. Then you could include movies like Snowpiercer as well...or Fargo for example.

Kim Magee

Rob hinted that he wanted to watch Maverick. I think they're just going to miss out

Kim Magee

Or family films

Jan T

Yes, I agree. Fantasy films would also have been a better match than action.

Jan T

Edward Scissorhands is a Fantasy film set at Christmas time. Please give it a tick. 🙏🏻 Just personally, I think Fantasy would have been a better match for the Christmas/festive season choices than Action movies.

Shelley

Genuinly shocked R&T haven't seen the lethal weapon franchise. Mel Gibson and Danny Glover... what a pair. Was one of the first action films I remember watching with my dad. The santa clause movies also have my heart. Tim Allan was a 90s comedic genius. Does not get the recognition he deserves 👏🏼 I think there's 3 films and 2 series on disney plus x

Ninaofthe90s

good choices. It's a wonderful life has always been the most important classic for me. But I would love to see reactions to some of Hitchcock's movies ❤️

Kaylee Smeaton

Not in my experience on this channel. I usually tend to suggest the animated stuff and it hardly ever wins. A lot of people think it's childish, I think 🤔 No offense, just my opinion.

Jenny Lee Villanueva

Pitch Black, True Lies, Leon and Bullet Train por my top 4

Gerald Colborn

Pitch Black is one the most underrated sci-fi action films of our time. A masterclass in film making for sci-fi movies. A serious Alien vibe to it. Wonderful.

Gerald Colborn

Lots of great movies but, as others have said, It's A Wonderful Life is THE quintessential Christmas movie. Of course, if The Bourne Identity was a Christmas movie, IT would be the quintessential Christmas movie, but there you go. Looking forward to sharing whatever gets chosen with everyone here. Thanks R and T.

Lee Shafer

It’s December I don’t think so 🤦‍♀️

Kim Magee

I'm also hoping that Rob and Trin pick Christmas movies as I don't think they're going to get a chance against action, sadly the genres don't vary a lot, but I will have faith as we always get a few things to watch, fingers crossed 🤞 and Merry Xmas, or happy holidays everyone as we approach the insane season

Kim Magee

How to Train your Dragon is amazing but I think animation is usually pretty popular

Kim Magee

100% And it did really well at the box office too. I'm not sure why it doesn't get the votes. Maybe people forget. It's been a long time after all

Kim Magee

Yep I agree, knew action would be very hard to beat with Christmas as an option

Kim Magee

Yeah when I saw that they were putting up Christmas or action I thought, noooooooo :(

Kim Magee

It's a shame that they put Christmas movies against action movies because I can't see us getting very many Christmas movies through, I was hoping they would put Christmas or family movies,

Kim Magee

I don't like its odds but I hope they pick rise of the guardians because it is funny as so many good people in it and it's a Christmas movie, Can people hear realise hawk from cobra Kai was in it and hugh Jackman

Kim Magee

OMG rise of the guardians needs votes, Hugh Jackman, Alec Baldwin, and Hawk from cobra Kai, Isla Fisher, and many others, it's such a great Christmas movie!

JM63

I hope that at least The Godfather I & II, Goodfellas, Taxi Driver, and Apocalypse Now get reactions someday.

Bradley Weeks

I just changed my votes to only Christmas movies because we are not getting much of a mixture. 😣

Octavia

It's a Wonderful Life. It really is.

Dominic Palmer

It feels a little wrong having December without any Christmas movies, mainly the action movies are being voted for

Peter Ceniceros

Let that day be now! Lol

Wendy Sparks

To not vote for 'It's A Wonderful Life' is a crime against humanity. It is the quintessential Christmas movie. October is all horror, so I don't see why December can't be all holiday movies. There's a large variety of 'holiday' movies that cover action. This feels like Christmas is gonna be overrun by straight action.

Mitch

Anything pre 99 is noted as being REALLY old. Oldest they've done is the Shining and it's an outlier. The only black and white is Schindler's List which came out 3 decades after b&w stopped being common. Artful films about the human condition don't tend to get votes, it's blockbuster/franchise type stuff from the last 25 years. You just have to hope they use one of their picks on something that isn't that, if such a thing gets to the poll stage. They tend to have two themes and they'll even it out with their picks so if you think the vote is action heavy I wouldn't worry about it. They want to watch some xmas too.

Laura Downey

the last samurai has shown up in so many polls but it never gets a lot of votes. it's a fantastic movie though i think they'd love it.

TAH xItzParadoXx

The Adam Project was such a good movie! Well worth a watch!

Jordan Tanner

Mad Max: Fury Road and Snowpiercer, please Santa?

Take a Ticket

Happy Holidays to you also 🥰

Emmy

Someday I will find the right poll and Pitch Black will win (or R&T will pick it) 😂🤣😂 until then, happy holidays to all!!

Bradley Weeks

A Christmas Story is a classic holiday comedy.🤞

Cyndi McCoy

Bad Santa would great to have as a choice. Starring Billy Bob Thorton.

Kaylee Smeaton

Woo come on HTTYD ! I hope it makes it, since there seem to not be many fans of animated films/shows (nor the adult cartoons like family guy, I mean stuff like anime) in here lol. FYI to those who don't know anime can be very thought provoking and comes in many different genres. Same with animated films like HTTYD. Been dying for Rob & Trin to react to some awesome animated stuff like HTTYD for AGES. Just ask em, I beg em periodically 🤣 🤣

Cindy

This is only the first poll. It may be on the next one.

Cindy Clarkson

V for Vendetta!

Alyssa Dyson

Uhmmm too many good ones but I hope some actual Christmas movies win this time unlike Halloween. 🤷🏼‍♀️💜

Ninaofthe90s

I Actually think it's the opposite, I think a lot of young people here haven't seen it. That's very common with very old movies.

Cindy

Maybe the issue is many people have seen this every year for decades. Too many US TV channels show it over and over, sometimes 24 hours a day every year beginning at US Thanksgiving. It is a great movie, but sometimes you get too much of a good thing. Same with A Christmas Story.

Wesleybucks

So for when the public vote for the same old how to train dragon, tenet and transformers pleeease let your picks be Xmas classics like the holiday or narnia that won’t get a look in. I always put more faith in rob and trins personal picks XD

Aldo Gonzales

The best way to close out the year is with Deadpool & Wolverine.

Nora

Cmon! The Santa Clause!! 🎄🎄😝😝 classic Christmas movie! ☺️

JM63

I think a lot of people are afraid that a black & white movie will be too slow-paced. But it really isn't, there are about 25 fantastic scenes in It's a Wonderful Life. It's truly captivating from start to finish. Anyway, if it doesn't make it this year, I hope it gets a chance in 2025! It really is the definitive Christmas movie, IMO.

Ninaofthe90s

because unfortunately they combined it with action movies. I have a feeling not a single Christmas movie is going to make the top 4. damn shame. I hope I'm wrong. I love so many of these movies like Top Gun, Leon or Fury Road. But I can vote for them any other month, December should be reserved for winter and Christmas movies.
