Another really good Christmas/Action movie if Rob & Trin might consider is Red (2010). Although Christmas is just a timeframe in the film, but if you liked Die Hard I think you would really like Red.

Disagree... we get these same type of movies all year long. We get scary movies in October. Don't see anyone saying no to that. There are a wide variety of Seasonal movies, that take place over the holidays... including action movies. There's more varierty for Christmas then there is for Halloween/Horror.

There are wide variety of movies that take place during the Christmas Season... several action ones... -Lethal Weapon, -Long Kiss Goodnight, -Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, -Edward Scissorhands, -While You Were Sleeping, -Gremlins, -Planes, Trains & Automobiles. Also, -A Midnight Clear (about the WW1 Xmas truce). And -Scrooged is a fun take on A Christmas Carol.

We get an overwhelming amount of action films and tv shows all year round here, and I’m a fan of a lot of them. But with the world in such an awful dangerous mess, was it really too much to expect something heartwarming and festive for this one month of the year? “Bah Humbug” says this group.

The movies the majority of people voted for for 'Christmas movies' is a prime example of why democracy doesn't work. I don't even care for "The Polar Express" but it's the only Christmas movie that made the final poll, so I had to vote for it. =/

Sherlock Holmes with RDJ is a joke. Has nothing to do with real Sherlock Holmes, besides the name. Only reason it was well received is because of Iron Man and the fact that most people never read Conan Doyle. Good actors, but sloppy, flashy movie.

I will watch only How To Train Your Dragon, all the other movies aren't interesting to me. I don't like most action movies but there were some in the polls that I like, f.e. Lucy. But none of them is in this list. So I really hope Rob and Trin will pick some great movies themselves and some for a nice christmas feeling, too... 😕
