Fall has arrived, and the crisp, cool air bites! I do love wearing a cozy hoodie and not boiling to death in my studio watching movies - but I do miss summer! I can't believe it's 11 weeks until Christmas and another year passing by so quickly, but for now, we are going to cozy into the Spooky Season, and boy am I excited! Hope everyone is keeping well! I have been loving reading through all the comments each week! It makes my day to learn about your thoughts on a film and fun facts! FYI: The Poll Winner and runner-up from the Halloween Poll will be featured in the 2 next weeks!

AFI Friday - Sunset Blvd (1950) I skipped ahead on the AFI list! It did well on the poll, and I heard the vibes would fit well into the spooky season - and they were right! It also came in 3rd in one of the last polls, so why not! I feel like William Holden has now been solidified in my brain, I kept forgetting I had seen him before tbh 😅 I think this my favourite from him so far!

Another William Holden classic is "Picnic" with Kim Novac (Hitchcock: "Vertigo"). The dance scene — set to the tune of “Moonglow” — became one of the most iconic and sensual moments in 1950s cinema.
Spiral Eyes
Sunset Boulevard is my favorite movie from my favorite director, Billy Wilder. It was the first movie of his I ever saw and has one of the most unforgettable performances in film history, by Gloria Swanson. A big chunk of time has already been reserved for Friday!
