Poor Shinji was done so unbelievably dirty in the TYBW that he only got 2 “fights” and got beat down so quickly and badly, neither made it on the list. Which really sucks because hes one of the older captains and was Ichigos mentor for a chunk of the Arancar arc. The worst case of this has to be the Gerard fight, there is no reason as to why Shinji couldn’t fight alongside Zaraki, Toshiro and Byakuya. Hes a senior captain who should be at least relative to them. 4 strong captains fighting against Gerard would’ve been great. But instead he got one shotted 😭 At least the anime gave him some justice
