I showed this to one of my kids friends. (My spawn is 20 and isnβt into HP, but her friend is a big Snape fan.) we listened to it and she was literally rolling in her seat with laughter. It's fun to hear people's reactions to the audios who aren't fans. Sometimes I will listen to an old audio I've done that I forgot about and it will catch me off guard at how good he sounds. I have to remind myself that I made that. It seems impossible. At the time of making it all I hear are flaws and pacing mistakes. I'm super critical of myself. But there is a reward in listening to them later on because I'm not judging every tiny detail.

I finally got the chance to let one of my fav ppl listen to this. He's my DM during a past dnd campaign and a huge Potterhead. I gave him no context other than "A character answering fan questions." As soon as the audio plays, he was completely drawn in, completely enamored...and then the p***y came and he sputtered laughing π "Where did you get this!?" π€£π He's very impressed with your work. The intonation, the punctuation, the way of speech and choice of volcabulary...its SO good, he says. I pointed him to your youtube channel and he pauses before saying to me as if he was talking to his wife (he's married): "Uh...sayang(love/darling), if there's something weird going on with the youtube algorithm, blame S***a." The gall! Lols

I remember years ago when Alan was on the tv show The View with Emma Thompson and her Mom. I think he was promoting his film The Winter Guest. He was the only man there with at least 6 women there. He said to them β You have to understand, this is unnerving for a man with all these womenβ. They laughed , and asked him if he was ready for the interview. He said, βWell, Iβm here. Iβm upright. Also had a friend of mine listen to this. All I said was, "Wanna listen to ai voice of Snape answering fan questions?" He said sure. Best part? He was eating lunch. When it got to *that* I watch with wicked glee as his eyes widen before taking the headphones off and yelling at me, "Why?!?" But he was laughing hard too so...feels like a win to me π€£

Finally got to listen. So much of it brought to mind the celebrities answering fan questions the producers give them, occassionally in character. My brain immediately thought "If Alan were still here and did one of those, this is about exactly what I imagine that cheeky bugger would do with Snape for it." When I read through the question I take a moment to see if a response pops up in my head or not. This is what happened with yours, this whole idea of there being a recording crew and everything. That's how I choose which questions to answer. I will revisit them every now and then and see if there is anything that comes to me. It depends on the day and my mood I think. But asking him what he likes to eat was the perfect setup for some naughty humor.

When I first edited it, I covered my mouth and laughed, then hoped everyone else will find it as funny as I intended it to be. I smile stupidly through everything I make. I think I'm funnier than I am sometimes though.

That reminds me of a radio interview Alan once did. He said a curse word, shit or fuck, and the lady interviewing him called him a potty mouth, a few times. The look on his face said it all. He was pissed and ready to walk out. π€£
