I could have sworn I left a comment on this one when it was released but I apparently imagined that. 😅 I listened to this one again last night at 1 am and…. I am unwell. I just love hearing him speak in this one. All the little variations in his tone, his little sighs and grunts and all the colors of emotion in his voice. I love his laugh at the beginning when he’s joking about the carriage ride, and then the switch to such gentleness when he says “careful now” and “watch your step”. His little poetic description of the sunset in between kisses. —AHH. “Am I distracting you?” The playfulness and slight nervousness buried below the surface. When he tells you that you can touch him??? 🫠 It’s all so romantic and intricately detailed, I will have to listen AGAIN tonight at 1 am because that was an experience. I kept giggling and my cat was looking at me like I was crazy. (And I want to know what this dress of ours looked like. Clearly, it did its job.) Beautiful, beautiful.

Second time listening with my headphone and damn if I didn't get the feeling punch in the stomach. I wish I could do more whispering like that but it's really hard to make it sound like him. That's why you don't hear it often. He did unbuckle slower, and he really did everything more gentle. But I really need to increase my collection of sounds. Lol. In my old house I had space to make a lot of them, but the new office is half the size with an echo I can't seem to get rid of. I need to buckle down and make a sound stage area somewhere. This was definitely a tenderness I wasn't even aware he was capable of. I know I wrote it, but it has to feel right and still be Severus. Did he unbuckle his belt in a softer calmer manner than he usually does, or did I misinterpret that? Either way it was very fitting. I also love that he kept saying what would be happening next and asking for consent more than once and making sure everything was okej. Consent is of course always needed but I think continuous consent in a first time-situation like this is caring, sexy and romantic.
