But the demons' fingers were relentless shadows. Rough fingertips remained fixed to the most sensitive centers of their soles. Even curled to their limit, the grating sensation seeped into every deepest crease. A fingernail traced a faint, maddening line across the tightly furled skin.
Honoka's arch began to spasm violently, her taut toe joints blushing pale. A cold sweat beaded on Azusa's curled sole, glistening with a damp sheen in the dim light. "...Don't touch...!" The demand tore from Honoka's clenched teeth, laced with a tremor, her curled foot lashing out in a violent kick—only to drive the shackles deeper into her flesh. And when a demon's thumb thrust into the hollow of her tightly curved arch, all tensed resistance shattered into uncontrolled convulsions.
Three pairs of feet, curled in distinct postures of agony, quivered like young leaves in a gale within the demons' grasp. When nails simultaneously scraped the deepest part of their curled soles, their defiant roars and choked sobs finally fractured into the same broken laughter—a macabre symphony of mirth that resonated with the stomping rhythm of the audience below into a twisted cadence.
The heels that had borne the calluses of countless battles now glowed with an unnatural tenderness, a perverse result of days of forced "care." Skin meticulously treated with salves and unguents gleamed with a pearl-like fragility under the gloomy light. Every line on the demons' palms had become an extension of the torture. Their feet, subjected to forced medicinal baths, now suffered a dangerous inversion: dulled pain paired with a heightened, excruciating sensitivity to tickling. The three pairs of forcibly softened feet looked ever more like fragile offerings against the coarse palms. As knuckles began scraping the thinnest layer of skin on their soles, the cell filled with a simultaneous, leather-ripping gasp—the prelude to total collapse.

Three bodies contorted against the wooden posts in curves of near-shattering tension, sweat spraying with each convulsion to trace brief silver threads in the torchlight.

Honoka's face twitched with the conflict between resistance and surrender. Yet her eyes, continually cleansed by reflexive tears, burned with undying defiance in the firelight. She laughed in gasping, breathless bursts, her chest heaving. Sweat traced shimmering paths along her collarbones and the curves of her breasts, glittering like diamond dust in the flickering light. When a nail scraped across her nipple, her laughter ripped into a shattered keen.

Amidst a burst of laughter so sharp it felt like her ribs might crack, Nana’s glazed gaze suddenly pierced through the dungeon’s flickering torchlight. She saw herself kneeling on the wooden floor of the veranda, her posture straight as bamboo in early summer. Yoko sat close beside her, her small legs dangling over the edge, swaying slightly, the thongs of her geta loosely hooked on her toes. Her eyes were fixed on the two figures chasing each other in the garden—when Honoa suddenly turned and snatched up a bamboo broom to playfully chase Azusa, Yoko's dangling legs jerked back; when Azusa, laughing, hid behind the cherry tree and peeked out with a flushed face, the fingers clutching Nana's sleeve relaxed just a little.
