Update #102 Last pinch of spice
🕑 Added 2025-06-07 21:27:51 +0000 UTCSteamy greetings, esteemed members of the pointy-eared senate. I estimate the estate of esoteric game-making to be ecstatic.
If you can parse the meaning of that last sentence, you're a better fellow than I.
I'd forgotten how nice it is to not have any deadlines hanging over your neck like a guillotine. So I took a little time this week to just revel in that feeling. Of course I also began making the final spicy scene, which is also the penultimate scene of the episode.
Steamy!
As per usual I'll post a little bit of spice, but not enough to spoil the full thing. That's the intention, anyway. I kind of just assume that people have a similar memory to me, meaning that you won't remember any of the previews once the game drops anyway.
That's a convenient reality to live in.
Well, so far the scene is fun to make, but I suspect it'll stop being so when I start doing animations. The water surface, the steam and the flickering candles move around, which means that looping animations will have clearly visible cuts if those are in view. So I'll either have to get creative with the angles or figure out something else.
Please allow me to introduce myself...
Ideally I'll finish the entire scene next week, and can start working on the last scene after that. The last scene will probably take me quite a bit of time. At least I think it will. It's big in both script length and amount of stuff going on outside of the talking.
Kind of dreading making it, to be honest, but hopefully it won't be too bad. And if it is that bad, then I at least hope that the resulting scene will turn out as well as I've envisioned.
I may have wished for a 'soaking wet demon' but I didn't mean it like this.
Well, I don't have all that much to say today, bit tired. Been neglecting good and healthy routines for a bit, so need to get back into it. A lot easier to do so now that it's nice and sunny most days.
Thank you very much for your support, and I wish you a steamy week!

Hang in there, this is the final stretch. I personally find it helps, to clear my head when thing get hard, simply going for a stroll in nice weather. At the end of it all your own health should be most important. Take your time. A rushed job makes a poor job.
