Attached to this post is a zip file of ultra-high resolution PNG files of compass roses / north indicators / doohickeys what tell you the direction that I've drawn this past month.
These are free for your personal use - for those times that you need an indicator on one of my other maps for instance, or for a map you are drawing yourself for your home games.
If you would like to use these for a commercial project, feel free to drop me a line at dyson.logos@gmail.com - if there's enough demand instead of charging people one at a time for a commercial license, I'll put the collection up as a stock art package on DTRPG.

With whatever photomanipulation tools you have (GiMP if looking for something free), just open the file, use the magic wand to select the sections you want removed, and delete them. Some people want the circle to be transparent too, some want all the whitespace transparent, some just the material outside the drawn sections - I can't provide all the permutations, so I leave that up to you.
