Some personal updates
🕑 Added 2020-06-05 18:41:21 +0000 UTCHey everyone! As usual everyone has my sincere thanks and appreciation that you continue to support my work. it means a lot and at this point many of you have continued in your support for a pretty long time now!
I wanted to share some slightly more personal news.
Recently a number of factors have built up an increase of stress and anxiety for me. A lot of it is tied to my day job, along with some underlying health issues, in addition to other obvious global events. I’ve never really struggled with anxiety or the like very much, but over time and what felt very suddenly these outside factors and things beyond my control started to feel less and less manageable and have effects on my ability to rest and rejuvenate and have peace of mind. All of this came at a time where my day job went through a complete transformation to adapt to the new pandemic-aware manner of operations. I’ll spare you the details but it was starting to effect my health.
All of this has resulted in me taking some doctor recommended leave from my day job.
As far as art goes, I’m going to feel that out. Most of the time art is a great relief for me to do. At the same time I don’t know what my productivity will look like art wise for the period of this recommended leave. That being said I’ll be pushing billing for July as something of a precaution. I do think I’ll still be drawing, but some of the time off is meant to allow me to develop other helpful mechanisms or routines for dealing with the anxiety, and I definitely want to use it for that.
I felt the need to provide a little insight here on Patreon, but so do appreciate a bit of discretion around this outside of Patreon.
Thanks again all!
