Touhou Chapter 23
🕑 Added 2022-09-18 00:30:37 +0000 UTCI watched the various Yokai flying around my mountain obviously trying to loot or find their old homes, but I had long buried and ground down all the materials of the decrepit homes that marred my mountain with rotting wooden shacks or the frankly cursed nicer houses would drive even Yokai to live someone where else than deal with the discomfort of living within a cursed home.
But even as I watched the Yokai's actions while I rested my cheek against my fist I especially paid attention to the Tengu attachment that respectfully traveled the whole length of my golden brick road and their whole procession screamed royalty as a dozen tengu's carried a large platform carriage thing Asian royalty had their retainers carry them in.
"Ah yes it's called a palanquin or something." I muttered as I saw the slightly androgynous figure within the palanquin who was surprisingly talking to another familiar figure as they were being taken up my mountain.
"I have to wonder what the bigger troublemaker is up too..." I muttered seeing Kanako Yasaka drinking as she obviously was taking great joy in irritating Tenma, the leader of the Tengu's of Gensokyo.
After another half an hour of them traveling with me having to dispose of some Yokai that didnt follow my very clearly stated rules about how the town with a silver wall was barred from them I made my large, warded doors to my cathedral open as the two female leaders of Moriya Mountain's factions approached while they left there retainers behind.
I quickly teleported and had Sakuya guide them to my throne room while giving a bit of a tour to the two faction leaders.
As Kanako came into my cathedral and noticed the highly decorated interior with even the baseboards lining the bottom of my walls were engraved with murals of art I could recall from my previous life she noticeable seemed to be put out how my place looked so great.
At least that's what I gathered from her sour expression.
"Welcome Lord Tenma of the Gensokyo's Tengus's and Lady Kanako of the Moriya Shrine. Why have you sought an audience with me?" I asked as they came into my throne room with Sakuya bowing to me as she pulled the large doors closed behind the two ladies.
"Wow for a new god you definitely got a nice setup doesn't he Tenma?" Kanako said as she looked around the massive throne room but then she froze as she looked up and saw how I had taken inspiration from Harry Potter and made the ceiling reflect the night sky with all its constellations with the stars shining brightly to act as the light to my throne room.
Tenma looked around my throne room and if anything, she seemed to lock upon EA that was floating beside me as I moved my head from where it was resting my fist and instead, I folded my hands in a Gendo pose in front of me as I stared over my hands at the two girls.
"Why have you come to see me." I repeated and I saturated the surroundings with my infinite mana to press down lightly upon them to get their attention as even if they were a goddess or a leader of one of the factions of this pocket world I wouldn't be ignored within my home and place of power.
Kanako's large chest bounced lightly as she harrumphed and pouted at me as she spoke almost grudgingly. "Hey, no need to get all twitchy I was just looking around." She muttered but I increased the weight of my mana upon her making her roll her eyes as she harrumphed "Heh yeah anyway, we both wanted to get your measure as one of Gensokyo's newest gods and see if there are any trade opportunity's to be had between us."
I nodded to her words and looked back to Tenma who strode forward to put Kanako behind her as she spoke. "I Lord Tenma request that our villages that we left as we moved our living areas around the Moriya Mountain be released to us so we can return to our old way of live at the bottom of your mountain."
I frowned at the thought of allowing the Tengu and their Inu clan of basically wolf eared girls take over the edge of my perception but then I had a realization. If I had the Tengu who were famous for their dogged determination to patrol their lands and territory, watching over my borders that would allow my previous barrier that kept out everyone. To not need to be released as should problems arise, they would be responsible for them.
"Why should I let your people live upon my body... I do mean that quite literally Lord Tenma. Your every action from you sneaking a human candy in the Palanquin to Kanako attempting to break one of the gold bricks of my gold road was caught within my eyes as I feel and see every action upon my mountain just as you can watch a flea crawl over the palms of your hand."
Needless to say they were the fleas I could crush with the mere closing of my palms.
"What do you desire from my people then? We can give you loyal guards that will swear a blood binding oath to your service and honor. We also have... Women that will see your strength and will happily warm your bed in return for you seeding them with strong children?" Tenma offered stoically as though offering some of her people to become my concubines was nothing to her.
But Kanoko stamped her feet sending the rope that was tied around her back flapping around as she cried. "Hey! We agreed I got to bring up offering a concubine first! Lord Moria my shrine has a beautiful little shrine maiden named Sanae who is related to my partner Suwako who is an earth goddess quite similar to how you are a mountain god!" She spoke obviously trying to sell me on this.
Even as I facepalmed I couldn't help but wonder how powerful a child born of me and that priestess would be. Wait...
"You girls are making me think of troublesome things." I muttered as I realized ever since I got settled in as a Mountain God and knew I wasn't going to just get smote by Reimu or Yukari I begun to seek entertainment in other people's troubles.
"I will say this clearly now. If I decide to take a woman as my own, they will not be bartered to me as I could literally go down to Old Hell and just as easily join one of the orgies the Oni regularly get into while praising my name with the Sake rivers, I have created for them."
Instead of becoming irritated that I so bluntly refused them, Kanako instead looked at Tenma with jealousy clearly written on her face. "Hey how come you didnt give us orgies in our honor when you were squatting around our shrine when he kicked you off his mountain!?"
'Gensokyo girls are hopeless...' I thought helplessly as Tenma began to scold Kanako about how the honorable tengu weren't drunken fools who would delve into such depravity.
