Genshin Chapter 49
🕑 Added 2022-10-09 03:01:24 +0000 UTCTo say I was irate at the fact that Childe and Signora getting carried away like the garbage they were while me and Lumine just had to stand by the side as the Fatui's more abled members left was an understatement.
"Why are we letting them go!" Paimon cried as she floated back over to us from where she was hiding.
"Because all the people of Mondstadt will likely die if we force the fucking Fatui's hand." I all but snarled but Lumine calmed me down as she took my arm between her own and hugged it to her chest.
"Calm down Jake. The Fatui will obviously be forced out of Mondstadt now. After attacking the nations army in the middle of the city and so many people dying they will have made any future diplomacy with any other nation all but impossible." Lumine tried to calm me.
But I knew all too well that even after the bullshit of releasing an angry god upon Liyue and fueling a rebellion in Inazuma, that the other nations will inevitably be dragged into the Fatui's' schemes.
Instead of getting angry again I just sighed and sagged in place as my adrenalin from the fight left me and I realized that Lumine herself wasn't hugging me entirely to calm me down as her legs we clearly shaking.
"Let's go find a hotel or something." I said as I leaned down and with a snort from Lumine she got onto my back and wrapped her arms around my neck, and we turned to leave the square as Jean and the other knights were... Dealing with the aftermath of battle.
"Uhm excuse me Honorary Knights!" I heard a light female voice call us and then I turned with Lumine resting her chin on my shoulder so we could both look to see who called us.
Noelle was jogging over to us and when she got over to us, she dipped into a courtesy holding her maid outfit's skirt as she lightly bowed to us. "Master Jean has sent me to send her deepest appreciates for the help during the battle." Then the maid brushed her hands through her silver hair as she lightly took on a blush. "Also, I read your lips and saw that you guys were looking for a hotel for the night. Instead, why don't you three just take my spare bedroom again tonight so you can get a nice shower and get cleaned up." The maid offered.
"Paimon doesn't think Jake and Lumine wants to create a mess or bring you more work." Paimon said trying to be courteous but if anything hearing we may bring more work to Noelle I saw her smile brightly amid the carnage of the battlefield as she shook her head.
"Oh dear Barbatos, you three are no trouble at all. In fact, I insist as any Knight of Favonius would happily offer to open their doors to you with all the help you have provided Mondstadt." Then Noelle's face twitched as she glanced at Diluc who was gleefully dragging some injured Fatui members by their legs purposefully dragging their faces against the paved stones.
"In fact, some may actually give you a key to their house in fact..." She muttered with me being just barely able to hear her before she looked back to us. "I have a spare key beneath the flowerpot next to my door. So ahead and get some rest and if it is any consolation Amber and Eula are going to spend the night again as we already had those plans from our girl's day out earlier."
"Oh, Jake let's just go. Noelle will be sad if we refuse." Paimon prodded and I could only capitulate.
"Alright Noelle you win. Thank you for hosting us and I will help you make breakfast if you wake me up" I said thankfully with Lumine chuckling against me at how I just gave up.
"Oh, I look forward to cooking with you again Jake!" Noelle said cheerfully before her smile faded as she looked behind her and saw the work behind her. "Well, I need to get back to work." She said softly as she walked over to the section that was handling the injured Knights of Favonius that Barbara wasn't able to get to yet.
"Jake lets go." Lumine whispered into my ear, and I silently nodded with my response being my hand squeezing on the thighs I was holding onto as she rode my back as I turned with Paimon following us through the Knights who were blocking off the site but who still swiftly allowed us to pass without issue.
Once we got to Noelle's house, I nudged her flowerpot aside and Paimon unlocked door so Lumine didn't have to get off of me as she was already half asleep and was only mumbling when I tried to get her attention.
"Lumine wake up we need to take a quick shower, so we don't get stuff all over Noelle's bed." I said tiredly as I shook Lumine awake who grumbled and gave me a gimlet eye as she gathered a bit of her mental strength.
"Fine but you are washing my hair." She muttered as she took my hand and pulled me into the rooms attached bathroom with a shower.
"Uhm Paimon will get us a snack before bed!" I heard the fairy announce as the bathroom door was shut by Lumine.
Wordlessly Lumine undid the straps to her dress and likewise I did the same with my outfit and once we were both bare of clothes, we both got into the shower together.
There weren't any sexual actions as we were both mentally and physically exhausted. Only Lumine washing off my body with a soft sponge as I ran my soapy hands through her soft golden locks, and both washed her head and massaged my lovers scalp making her hum in comfort.
After I helped rinse out Lumine's hair we switched places with me taking a set on a small metal seat so Lumine could actually reach my hair comfortably as I washed her own body with my eyes closed to avoid soap getting into them while Lumine reciprocated and washed my silver hair.
"Alright let's get into bed." Lumine said as we both heavily blew Anemo energies through our hair to dry them out and then Lumine took out some pajamas from her spatial pocket and passed a set over to me.
As we crawled into bed Paimon flew into the room with a plate stacked with a couple sandwiches in which we quickly ate a couple and once we were full and in the comfort of the bed Paimon flew down into the bed and all but pulled the two of us to make her the meat in a cuddle sandwich as me and Lumines legs intertwined beneath the fairy our arms crossed over Paimon making her happily giggle.
"Think Eula and Amber will end up in this bed as well Jake?" Lumine whispered playfully but I snorted as this time we hadn't done a bunch of drinking before going to sleep so I doubted it.
