Nier/Rwby Chapter 60
🕑 Added 2022-07-16 08:46:12 +0000 UTCOur first lesson consisted of an hour-long speech from Professor Port about how valiant he was during his supposed Youth and more importantly how much big dick energy he had as he used cabbages as cannon balls to shoot out of his blunderbuss axe combo when he enhanced them with Aura in one great battle as he had to hold back a roaming horde of Beowolves and give the inhabitants of the village time to evacuate.
"And thus, if any of you all should desire to truly be a huntsman. You must have the strength of will hold out against any odds! With Aura, hunters very rarely die from a surprise attack, but the vast majority of lost Huntsman are taken down by long attrition battles that wear you down mentally and physically, to say nothing about running out of ammo." He spoke proudly before he turned away from the podium he was speaking into.
"Now who will dare to take upon a test of valor and martial might Haha!" He called as with a flourish he pulled off the large tarp covering a tall square shape in the back of the classroom that he pulled to the front.
The uncovered square was now revealed to be a cage containing a large Boarbatusk that began screaming and smashing into the cage from feeling the heightened emotions of the students that were looking on at it with interest. I checked out the Boarbatusk and found that its front facing armor looked to be thicker than the armored creeps I had dealt with back in the Emerald Forest, so maybe there was a point to where Ruby was telling Weiss to go for its stomach.
"Hmm now let's see..." He said as he looked over at the assembled students who had their arms raised but I didnt want to fight it as should I kill it; how could I explain how the Grimm essence would be absorbed by me.
'Wait! I can just say that Grimm essence fuels my elemental 'semblance' and if anything, Ozpin will just assume it is similar to the Schnee semblance that can summon defeated Grimm.' I thought but before I even raised my hand to volunteer, Professor Port pointed at me and Weiss who was sitting beside me startled but slumped as the man spoke loudly. "You Jake Barris! Come on down Haha. I can see the veritable bloodlust in your eyes!" He said jollily with his almost fat stomach trembling with his powerful laughter.
Even if he looked 'fat' I knew it was almost all muscles like those huge weightlifters that focused purely on the amount of weight they could lift would gain large stomachs.
"Go ahead and change into your combat uniform Jake." He said pointing towards the locker rooms that was on the side of the classroom, but I shook my head.
"I don't need to change, I got my sword here, I got my semblance here, I don't need my armor and nicer clothes to kill a single Grimm." I said blandly as I pulled out Virtuous Contract with a flourish as I awaited Port to unleash the rabid Boarbatusk that seemed to sense my disdain being aimed at it and was ramming the cages front door in order to trample me in particular.
"Haha! Good choice child, in a mission you will not have the opportunity to change into your armor should a night raid be launched into the village you are protecting. All of you take note of that!" He said firmly.
Unfortunately, his actually useful warning was ruined as Yang scoffed. "Heh but if anything, my pajamas provide more protection than my combat outfit." Seeing as how her combat outfit consisted of a jacket that didnt reach her midriff, exposed her cleavage and simply wore short shorts for her bottoms... Yeah, her clothes offered little to no protection.
"Yes well... Miss Xiao-Long you have detention today after lessons with Miss Goodwitch, and also a few other ladies here can expect some extra lessons from Goodwitch about what happens to Huntresses when they get captured by Bandits." He said drily and I winced at how he definitely didnt enjoy being interrupted and in such a stupid way as well.
Despite the way he put it. It was definitely for best that they should get out of their flashy mindset that glorified Huntsman in preparatory academies and embrace the death world that this was here in this college setting that didnt coddle them. "Now Jake, kill the monster!" He roared as he swung his blunderbuss axe combo onto the lock holding the Grimm in the cage, breaking it.
The Boarbatusk broke out of the cage with a primal shriek of rage as it charged at me but remembering how supposedly its stomach was the weak point, I waited for it gain a good bit of speed before I stomped on the ground creating a pillar of ice that shattered the minor armor on its stomach and more importantly launching the Boarbatusk in the air towards me.
Almost reflexively I had my Guardian cover my body in a dark energy to augment my strength and with a cry I swung down Virtuous Contract with a powerful straight swing onto the stomach of the Boarbatusk that was flying at me and as I split the Grimm in half, it poofed into smoke before its body could collide with my own.
As the classroom clapped at my victory, I heard Ruby congratulating me as Port as also clapped in appreciation. "Yes! No wasted movements and ended up killing the Grimm in merely two actions. This what you must all work towards for all Grimm engagements as hardly ever will you fight Grimm in the single digits!"
I nodded saying thank you to Port and went back to my seat as Port began telling another trail about his trails fighting a stampeding group of Boarbatusk and used a large hill with a drop off and the villagers farming tools to create death trap for the Boarbatusk's to fall into and allow him to kill them at his leisure.
"This man is putting me to sleep..." I said dryly as I slumped with my head laying down against my folded arms that were laying across my table.
"The man may be... Ok he is insufferable, but you should still give him some respect Jake." Weiss tried to say something good about our teacher but after an hour and a half of the man going on about his glorious adventures even the prim, Weiss Schnee gave up on taking notes.
"Oh... So, you like his mustache!" I teased whispering making Weiss scowl and poke me with her pen as she huffed.
"Hmph as if... If anything, I prefer a well-groomed man without any facial hair."
I looked at Weiss with a sense of growing amusement as she seemed to do another double take at looking at me before taking on a light pink hue, and instead of attempting to scold me for napping and allowing me to tease her about her blush, she rounded on Ruby who was sitting on her other side and go onto her for doodling Professor Port as Professor Poop or something equally immature.
As I drowned out my fellow classmates' whispers and Ports loud story telling I just relaxed and began assimilating the Grimm essence that came from the Boarbatusk, strengthening my Guardian.
