Apocalypse Chapter 4 almost halfway done with commission though I am loving writing this.
🕑 Added 2023-04-16 00:43:24 +0000 UTCWith a loud crunching noise I clearly heard Takashi bash in a zombies head and I was right about the young adult having the spine to do what needed to be done as we scoured the outside of the all-girls academy of any zombies.
Plus it helped Takashi and Saeko's efforts that all the zombies were attracted to me above all of them unless they were making a great deal of noise.
"Alright Saeko, you follow me into the school. Takashi you make sure no zombies enter the school behind us." I said after we cleared out the front entrance of the lingering zombies and looking at my axe I grimaced at the viscera, of blood and other remains painting it.
"I got the entrance then." He said in acceptance as he pulled over a chair that was ineffectively used to block off the entrance for him to sit on.
"Now where would the girls be hiding if they were still alive." I muttered as I brought Saeko and Mr. Forklift Certified into the school and said man piped up saying his sister was in classroom 4-D, or the fourth classroom on the fourth floor of the school...
So as we went deeper into the school we methodically killed every single zombie on the bottom level with their being a solid hundred of them, frankly I did get bit by the rushing zombies but thankfully due to my both Aura. Body Defense, and my Healthy, Perk I was completely immune to the infection of their bites though they couldn't actually break through my aura to even attempt to infect me to begin with.
"Ah fuck it." I cursed seeing the crowd of zombies streaming out of the classrooms seemingly not thinning at all so I swung my battle axe in a semi-circle in front of me with a grunt of effort and expulsion of aura to allow me to carve through the zombies in front of me so I could get the second to change the hold of my battle axe and then the two living teenagers covered their ears as I just started spraying my mecha shift axe in its rifle form with the 5.56 equivalent rounds punching through the backs of the zombie's heads and piercing the heads of the next couple zombies heads behind them before they would lose their momentum going through the hard bones of skulls.
After using the semi-automatic rifle function of the axe for a solid hundred or maybe two hundred rounds just shooting through the heads of the zombies as they came within a half dozen meters of us I lowered the gun with as frown as I realized that I used a good deal of my aura doing this to say nothing of all the noise we made.
"Come on we can't wait around with all the noise I made." I said frowning as I heard banging through the school as the zombies on the higher levels were trying to get to the source of the sounds... Being myself.
"Was using your gun really necessary!?" Mr. Forklift Certified demanded and I rolled my eyes.
"I have superhuman abilities but even I get exhausted slaughtering a couple of hundred zombies Mr. Forklift Certified." I retorted and the teenager blanked at me calling him that again.
"My name is Tamashi Hakagi! My name is not fucking Mr. Forklift Certified!" He hissed and I meanwhile just hopped over the downed corpses of the zombies and made sure I didn't slip in the puddles of slick blood.
"Yeah yeah sure whatever now shush." I said as I looked up towards a flight of stairs and then windmilled backward as a feminine form groaned as she dived down from the railing above me and with a loud cracking noise her neck snapped at hitting the tile flooring making her zombie form go limp as its still active brain couldn't send signals to the rest of its brain.
"Be careful of zombies lurking," I said with a muffled curse as I stomped on the head of the zombie so if we did find some living girls none of them would get their ankles bit or something cliche as the crippled zombie's head was still snapping in my direction.
Going through the first three floors of the main school building was in one word. a 'slog' I realized the sheer desperation the solider's had at the battle of Yonker's in that World War Z book. Because even with my gun killing hundreds of humanoid forms that were rushing at me with their bodies having no limiters, was still taxing mentally and especially physically.
Even Saeko once we reached the third floor was having to hold the barrister of the stairs to steady her exhausted form, with even her hand that was holding her wooden sword shaking at the stress she had put into it.
"Hello is anyone alive!?" I called out and as we finished clearing the third floor and I could faintly hear something and as we picked through the classrooms we found some girls that were hiding in the large metal closet lockers in each classroom though it was obvious that yeah... They forcibly hid themselves within the lockers as I could see blood covering the fronts of the lockers as other girls tried to force themselves into the lockers to also hide in there.
But they got in there first and survived. I couldn't judge them for being weak especially when their classrooms didn't have weapons to defend themselves with.
"Do you know where Tomo Hakagi." I asked and the girl I singled out as being the most 'stable' and not being a whimpering mess who smelled of piss from the terror of watching their classmates from being munched on could still only look at my blood soak jacket in shock making me exhale in frustration.
A loud cracking noise rang out as Seako herself seemingly tired of waiting just walked up and slapped the shit out of the girl knocking her out of shock and giving her a split lip at the same time. "Where is Tomo Hakagi." Saeko repeated and the girl shared a look with her two partners who was in the locker with her and they all said Tomo being in the swim club was supposed to be doing swim training for the meet that was supposed to happen later today.
"Alright let's go to the pool then... Hopefully, they have just locked themselves up in the locker or something." I said annoyed at this being a bust and the surviving couple dozen girls followed me as they seemingly latched onto me as a form of safety. I guessed that seeing Saeko smack the shit out of one of the girls seemed to scare them from seeing her as a safety figure and Tamashi was a bit of an NPC with his typical buzz-cut black hair and slim frame.
But as we reached the bottom floor I raised an eye and grinned as I saw how Takashi had killed probably a dozen zombies in the front area of the school that were probably attracted to all the noise we made so I grinned as I took in the young man who was holding his dented metal baseball bat at the ready and nodded his head at seeing our group approach.
I decided the first thing I was going to do when I got back to the school was try to give Takashi and Saeko, Aura as well. As having a couple more people immune to the whole biting and tearing bit of zombies for a good bit would make any trips we make, many times safer.
Reaching the pool's connected locker room wasn't that difficult either as it was behind the school and there was a small crowd of zombies slapping and banging at the door of the locker room that was attached to the outdoor pool. I had a pretty strong hope that the zombies were trying to get to survivors on the inside.
"Ok Saeko I will take the point you get the zombies on the sides," I said as I entered the overhang/tunnel that lead into the girl's locker room and as I began killing the zombies now clad in various swimsuits instead of school uniforms I cursed as the slick blood on the small tiles made me slip awkwardly and I had to literally stand on the corpses of the zombies in order to get a decent footing to swing my axe around as the ground was like the worst kind of slipping slide with how it was angled downwards a bit.
Even Saeko and fucking Mr. Forklift Certified, couldn't help but giggle seeing me flail at the awkward footing but as I finally cleared all the last zombies and made sure to double-tap them for safety before I began knocking at the door to the locker room.
"Hello! Housekeeping!" I couldn't help but joke and then I could faintly hear something on the other end of the door that sounded like a voice.
"I can't hear you at all through the door," I said loudly and then there was silence for a second before I heard some clattering noises and then the door cracked open and I realized the girls had been using their bags and other pool supplies like the poles to clean it as a brace to keep the door closed with the girls still in their swimsuits.
"Who are you? Where is the police or the JSDF?" A spoke out frowning and I nodded at the sight of the girl not due to her beauty and voluptuous frame but due to her wielding a pool cleaning pole that had its net end broken off and its metal frame smashed together to make a spear point and with how said point was bloody I knew she had been putting in work.
"Tomo there you are!" I heard Tamashi speak out in relief as he fell on his ass sliding down the gore-streaked tunnel into the room but uncaring as his form got covered in blood as he approached that girl with the jury-rigged spear and hugged her.
"Huh, she does have the hair I suppose," I said shrugging as I looked at the other girls. "Alright get changed into your school uniforms or something as running around in swimwear won't work," I ordered as I prepared to leave the room but a girl spoke up softly.
"We don't have any clothes... Our coach took them all as today as he wanted us to get used to and acclimated to wearing our swimsuits for long swimming meets." The girl said and I saw she was a red-haired girl with a figure that didn't lack to Seako's but her words made my eye twitch as I bluntly asked where their shoes were. "He also took them as well..." The girl reported and I wanted to bash that teacher's head in for undoubtedly being a useless pervert.
"Fine take your towels and whatever so you can have something to sit on the bus as we take you back to base." I said utterly done with this all-girls school as I doubted most if any of these girls except this Tomo girl.
So we got all the girls loaded up into the bus with Takashi silently giving me a look that said 'Are you fucking serious' When I told him that yes, the majority of the swimming classes survived due to getting to the locker rooms safely but due to their teacher being a useless lech, that all their clothes were up in winds with how said teacher was already a zombie we had already killed.
"Well at least the guys back at school will be happy with more girls." He muttered wryly as he took in the girls wearing there also stupidly lewd school outfits and the girls that were literally in swimsuits and I snorted before my face twisted.
"Fuck I probably need to get us a truckload of condoms and after-morning pills... I have no doubts that at least one couple is blowing off steam as we speak." I said groaning and at my words Saeko and Takashi blushed but they couldn't refute me with how some of the girls we rescued were eyeing me and Takashi.
It turns out that during an apocalypse in which mindless uncaring unstoppable monsters are wanting to tear you apart and eat you, the meek women were more than willing to bind themselves to a man and I had no doubt at all that once night rolled around that myself and Takashi were going to receive visits from ladies wanting our support in safety and most importantly assured food and water.
"Alright Mr. Kamodi, bring us back home. I am going to rest my eyes for when we need to clear out the area around base." I called out closing my eyes as I took off my leather jacket and as I went to sit down I was right as one of the more bold ladies still in her swimsuit moved her towel over so she could relax her head against my shoulder and I saw she had long, darker pink hair and was wearing an almost all white one piece swim suit with blue trim that clung to her frame.
"I'm sorry but I'm cold." She whispered and I couldn't really say she couldn't be cold so I just enjoyed the feeling of soft feminine flesh against me with her body that smelled of the pool and soap as I closed my eyes and relaxed.
