Apocalypse Chapter 17

The combination created an efficient system in which zombies were corralled in the thousands into the lava and their bodies burnt away into nothingness in the lava that seemed to burn in perpetuity.
We thoroughly tested the lava by throwing the corpses of zombies and even the special infected we killed into the lava and found out that although the hardened chitin of some of the special infected could survive the lava for a few moments the moment their forms sunk under the thick lava the zombies were done for.
"Could we make some kind of machine to push a plywood board or something and use the plywood board as a barrier to push the zombies into the lava directly?" I heard Kohta ask the other people to help me corral the zombies attracted by all the noise and I thought of those obstacle course shows were like padded punching gloves that would shoot out of walls and knock people off into the course and into the water below the course... But in this case, it would be lava.
"Not without a few days of testing." Someone responded to Kohta and the chubby teenager sagged at his thoughts being denied.
Even as I worked with these slightly younger people helping me kill zombies I was able to still talk and so I was talking to Takashi, Saeko and Kohta between working and helping deal with the thicker crowds of zombies that were making their way over here.
"So Kohta, what helped you find your semblance anyway?" I asked honestly a bit jealous as my grimoire literally was no help to me as each Semblance was an expression of our soul and thus I couldn't get a cheat to finding what it was. Although thankfully my Grimoire once I figured it out would help teach me its abilities.
Kohta at my question shrugged pulling at his dark green aura and I saw how X's formed in his eyes as well as an X on his hunting rifle's sight. "I don't know Jake, I just push aura into my eyes and now my eyes are linked to the sight of my gun and I can zoom in via the gun's optics. That's all I know dude." Kohta said wryly for the hundredth time after he became the first person to find his semblance.
Sure his semblance sounded like shit at first glance being only able to connect his sight to something... But considering how he could almost certainly attach his eyes to something like a battleship's guns or hell he could connect his eyes to a drone and be able to see through that, his semblance granted him a lot of options so long as he had the logistics of things he could look through.
"I hope my semblances don't have something to do with me bashing things with a baseball bat..." Takashi said weakly as he checked his bat as though it was its fault that he hadn't unlocked his particular superpower while Seako chuckled.
"Alright let's stress test the ten trenches we made," I said more seriously as I grabbed my radio and the volunteers lost their easy smiles as they gripped their weapons. "We are pulling back to the midpoint of the trench lines, use the drone-mounted speakers to try to bring a hoard our way," I ordered through the radio, and within moments I heard the dull whining scream of the large drones we looted from a hobby shop flying over to the mall in the distance.
But before the drones even got halfway to the mall, I could see a couple of them actually got shot out of the sky as thick webbing mucus and acid got launched into the air by the Stinger's and Spitters variants of special infected making me frown as I realized those special infected were for whatever reason hiding in the eaves of the rooves of the surrounding buildings...
'That positioning shows much more critical thinking than the zombies were supposed to have.' I thought and then as the remaining drones reached the mall and began loudly playing some music I shuddered as my second-to-worst fears came true as a large portion of the fucking mall exploded outwards into the surrounding horde as a fifteen-meter-tall massive Ogre stomped outwards and the Ogre whipped its massive arms towards the drones.
I frowned as a spray of acid landed on the drones and knocked them out of the air before they could fully retreat. "That's not right," I muttered before my face twitched as I realized the Back 4 Blood special infected via their Devil Worms were integrating the special infects mutations from the L4D variants.
Hence why the damned massive armored titan-looking Ogre was able to spray acid wherever it seemingly desire to from its body. "We cannot let that Ogre mutate more... Or something far worse to be made with the hordes of zombies that are pressing into the mall already to become that terror," I said sighing as I took a deep breath and pulled at my Karmic Battery.
See... My Karmic Battery was bar none the most powerful ability or thing I got from the Cyoa as at its core it used 'Wish Making' magic born of using the Good Karma I acquired here in these dying worlds. So long as I had enough good karma in the battery I could do literally anything I wanted and in that veil, I now was going to perform a miracle.
Thunder roared as rain drenched the streets of Tokyo and I heard the lava in the trenches crackle as the drops collided with the boiling lava as my body glowed with golden light as I pulled at all the power in my Karmic Battery to force a thunderous raging storm into existence.
The massive ogre was heavily armored and didn't truly have a weak point as the whole thing was a massive bio weapon piloted by a hive mind of countless devil worms, so I knew intrinsically that not a single jutsu powered by myself or the thousands of rounds we had would be enough to kill the ogre to say nothing of how I utterly refused to fucking fight the Ogre in melee combat with how it was basically a Titan from AOT with its armor and acid spitting abilities that it had shown. But who is to say it didn't have other abilities?
So I was taking no chances with this Ogre so as the storm above us thrummed with violent intent even the Ogre stopped its motions to retreat back into the mall to roar at the lightning-filled sky I knew there was the military that could drone strike this monster so I practically emptied my karmic battery to fill the sky with lightning.
And as I jumped to the top of a building I held up a hand covered in lightning and as though a maestro conducting a song I weaved my arm towards the sky covered in lightning. I could hear the teenagers screaming behind me and even my radio crackling to life as dozens of voices tried to demand what the fuck was happening but my full attention was locked on as I emptied my chakra to weave the lightning into my favorite jutsu.
"Kirin." I whispered with my hand dropping to the side dripping with blood as my exhausted form kneeled to the ground. But even while I collapsed the thick dark cloud cover that was screaming with lightning came to a head as the highly detailed head of a massive easter dragon made out of blue lightning emerged and screamed with a literally thunderous roar. The dragon's head retreated and then with a white flash of light that blinded all, a massive pillar of lightning engulfed the mall, and the Ogre as the entire storm filled with countless lightning bolts burnt itself out on the target I designated.
To devastating results.
The pillar of lightning's attack was at its core lightning so its effects were almost instantaneous as the pillar of lightning blew up the mall and likewise burnt the Ogre into a still-standing charred monolith as the monster's chitin even from hundreds of meters away I could see it carrying arcs of lightning as the Ogre shuddered before falling to the ground.
"We gotta get out of here!" I heard Saeko hiss and I was thrown over Takashi's shoulder and as he quickly climbed down the ladder up the building I previously jumped onto with no issues my blood ran ice cold as I realized the terrible truth and realization about how fucked this city was in compared to B4B's mostly rural area it showed off.
In Back 4 Blood the entire game takes place in a small town and its surrounding area basically. But here in Tokyo, it was a completely different ball game as even as Takashi threw me into the back of the truck and we sped off. I saw three more even larger Ogre's and my worst nightmare made a reality, as the monsters pushed through the debris of the exploded mall when they undug themselves from their burrows beneath the mall.
Know only as The Abomination, the Kaiju special infected made out of literally hundreds of tons of biomass at first glance looked like a soft-shelled turtle but that's where all similarities ended as the massive monster had many tentacles sprouting from its side and each tentacle lashed out to grab zombies and special infected to eat and heal itself.
Not to mention its massive size I also saw how the heads of the tentacles like the Abominations head looked like a turtles head with all the matching snapping power and worse I saw how when some of the special infected resisted being eaten it would drench the targets in a flood of acid that steamed from a distance.
"The gods have abandoned us." I heard Saeko whisper and I couldn't help but chuckle mentally even as my vision darkened from exhaustion.
'Yeah, that's why my dumbass is here.' I thought as I stiffly sat up and leaned against the side of the pickup truck we were all riding back to camp in and all I could think of was how in the fuck I was going to kill those monsters.

I am trying to stay away from massive power jumps like that and to keep the tension in the story. Good idea but him just jumping in massive power scale will throw off the fic

The bijuu are beings of energy (aka chakra) that's why thay can have there power used by there jinchurikis and gain benefits. Jake can't get anything from a giant sack of worm meat and sealing something that size would not only be very complicated it would cost a ton of Chakra he doesn't have yet.

Perhaps using the miracle power to gain Aqua's magic from Konosuba could work, her Turn Undead and Holy Water creation would be game changers.
