🕑 Added 2023-05-20 00:07:07 +0000 UTCTaking this trip with Haruhime was a fantastic idea honestly. Getting to know the demure fox girl was a relaxing experience as she wasn't a pushy woman at all and if anything tried to make my trip towards the Beor Mountains as easy as possible.
Every night we would sleep next to one another in our covered cart and to be a man who wakes up each morning with a blond submissive and breedable Renard who wanted to make breakfast to start your day... Words cannot describe the wifey energy she had.
But Haruhime wasn't just doing menial tasks like acting as my supporter or whatever while we traveled through the countryside, she killed some goblins and kobolds that attacked our carriage and I even cut the arm off of a minotaur and partially crippled one of its legs before letting her fight it. To give her a good challenge as she was still only level 1 and she needed to grow stronger.
"Haruhime I was curious." I started off while we were taking a break and Haruhime's blond fox ears flickered atop her head at my words. "Why didn't you go back to the Takemikazuchi Familia with how they were your childhood friends.?" I asked and she smiled wryly while shaking her head.
For a moment she clearly considered her words and thoughts before she finally spoke. "Well, Jake... For one you kinda... Pressganged me into your family before I could react." She said hiding a smile behind the sleeves of her kimono as my face froze at her words but she thankfully continued. "Granted, I do in fact know that my purity is still intact due to my fainting spells, but... I just feel like I wouldn't fit in with Lord Takemikazuchi's Familia." She finished with a small smile.
I had to think about her words for a moment as I ran them through my head. And honestly, so long as she was happy I was glad for her to find her place in my Familia.
So I just placed my hand on her head and ruffled her soft blond hair while gently scratching behind her fox ears making Haruhime giggle before I retracted my hand and I sighed while looking around at the seemingly deserted plateau we had traveled to after three days of travel from Orario.
"Alright... I think this is far enough." I grunted while smiling wryly at Haruhime. "Now Haruhime I need you to take the carriage a good while away or something from here. I will be fighting the monster I summon alone." I said with finality and Haruhime didn't like that at all.
Not at all, as she immediately began pouting with her eyes shining with a waterly light that made her green eyes shine while her cheeks also puffed up a bit. "Can't I boost your level or something with my spell!" She whined and I couldn't help but chuckle as I shook my head.
I needed to do this stuff alone for as long as I could as I did in fact want the boss's hard-mode minions that could help me fight later on. To say nothing of how the sentient bosses may just decide to not allow me to get specific items out of their goody bags somehow and that could truly fuck me over honestly. Either way, Haruhime couldn't help me so I had her move with the cart a good mile or so away, well within my visible distance in case monsters came out of the dense grass surrounding the road we were on.
But still far enough that she shouldn't get the attraction by the boss I was to fight.
So once Haruhime got far enough away I took out the boss summon for Skeletron being the suspicious skull and as I took it in I realized just how weird I have become in making and using these boss summons... Squeezing an eyeball to summon the Eye of Chuthulu or shaking a beehive to summon the Queen Bee.
All of that paled in comparison to how I had to spit on and wipe some imaginary dirt off the Suspicious Skull in order to activate it.
Due to myself having the Fargo's and Calamity mod within my soul the many bossess of Terraria were buffed and made stronger while also dropping better stuff so there was a very good reason why I was fucking terrified of Skeletron... Because with these mods enabled once I brought him down to low health, he would enrage with his massive skull flying directly towards me. But the issue is that he would transform into his dungeon guardian state in his enraged state.
So I had to hit him one hundred individual times as he took almost no damage and he would have some kind of conceptual death bullshit probably that would instantly kill me...
Yay.
But rather than a living screech, groan, or hissing from the boss monster coming to life, I frantically dashed forward with my Terraspark boots making me shoot forwards and into the air as fucking Skeletron silently appeared behind my back and I cursed as I took in the massive purple glowing skeleton that was Skeletron.
Due to my mods making my life more difficult Skeletron in this form was somehow purple of all things with his previous dull eye sockets filled with dark crimson flames and even as I flew through the air the flying arms and hands that hovered beside Skeletron flew away from its body and before I could react reached over and like a massive bone fly swatter I was almost slapped out of the air. But I managed to use my grappling hook on Skeletron's head to pull me away from the arms and as I landed feet first on Skeleton's head I slashed it with my cleaver from the Eye of Chuthulu that would reduce its strength and defenses before I dived off the head and used my Terrasparks jet boots to break my fall on the ground.
