🕑 Added 2023-07-13 10:19:32 +0000 UTCI was a fairly patient person honestly. I was able to lead Ruby on my team after all. And there was no greater strain on a man's patience than Ruby Rose when she decided to try trucker caffeine tablets for a prank.
But I literally spent the entire ride through the elevator and before when I was telling Samus what had happened to her people here in this world that was corrupted by Phazon. And what did she do?
She seemingly trusted her suit's scans on the status of the suit upgrade or restoration thingy and before I could stop her, she stepped forward, and like watching a kid grab a grill that's been running for a long while you could already foresee the child screaming after being burned.
I honestly didn't know why she touched the damn thing after I warned her, it was corrupted by the same crap that was eating this entire planet alive.
"The hell are you doing!" I demanded as we watched her form be engulfed in bright blue lightning streaks of light that crossed over her armor.
But Samus Aran was in no state to answer as her suit turned a very dark silver with reddish-orange highlights while her large arm canon expanded and I raised a small veil of sand in front of me and 2B and A2 as I saw the brightly glowing Phazon pulsing with powerful eldritch like energy that... Deeply unsettled me.
A loud clicking noise rang out and then Samus's arm cannon snapped to aim at us and I mentally cursed as I poured more magic into the sand veil that became corrupted with the swathes of sand being changed into thick strands of Phazon corruption that I had to quickly throw away from me and the girls as we retreated back to the elevator as Samus's Phazon corrupted suit obviously had stolen control over the suit regardless of the stupidly advanced Chozo tech within.
A2 and 2B's pods were with no mercy shooting powerful beams of Maso energy that were rendering the Phazon into salt but in the end and also at Samus but her suit although stiff while aiming at us, was able to more ably dodge the beams of destruction from the Pods.
But what I feared most, happened. Some of the infected Phazon sand touched my face when I had to block a Phazon rocket shot out of Samus's arm cannon and the moment I breathed in the Phazon dust, Samus's brightly glowing suit streaked with veins of blue Phazon died out with her falling to her knee's.
I could feel it. I could the Phazon within myself spreading, taking over individual cell's taking over my bones and nervous system with my heightened magical senses allowing this terrible understanding. The Phazon was am energy-based lifeform that was basically a perfect mix of the Tyrranids from Warhammer, the Flood from Halo, and with the insane material and biological manipulation out of the nanomachines that Generator Rex had basically.
"I am going to stick my foot up your ass Aran!" I snarled as I helplessly threw a gale of powerful wind at 2B and A2 to knock them into the elevator and then as I felt the Phazon reach my heart and brain I slapped the elevator button to close it and send it back up to the bridge as I ignored White yelling wanting to know what the hell had happened as I strode back over to Samus who threw her helmet off her head and was looking at me with tears as blue veins of Phazon crossed up from her neck and up to her face.
"I am so sorry! The Phazon in the air took over my systems and forced me to take the upgrade and I just couldn't control it! I am so sorry!" She cried out and hearing that I lost some of the hysterical ever so slightly murderous rage I felt towards her, so I tried to calm down.
To think, about how I could fucking fix this.
Phazon was a biological/energy fungus with a singular driving hive-mind that was the size of a mega gas giant of a planet that was driving its will to endlessly take over the universe and I had zero delusions of defeating such a thing even with my magic. But what if I didn't outright destroy it?
I called upon my magic even as my body was seemingly stiffening as my own blue lines of Phazon became visible across my skin, I was losing control over my body as I didn't have a Chozo suit that would literally sync up to my soul-like Samus did. But I did have something else attached to my soul. Something out of context for this universe for the most part.
My Guardian, a massive effigy of Darkness grew from my shadow and filled up the large cargo hold and I looked into the dull bright yellow eyes of my magical guardian and I could feel somehow feel some sort of acceptance and if not glee from it as a large finger almost as big as my chest poked me in my chest. See, I knew my magic was kinda kingdom hearts based, with my Guardian literally being various forms of Heartless as it grew up along with the world doors being similar as would be in the games.
I felt my own Heartless, the void of my soul formed in the death and loss of my first life stick its finger into my very soul and I groaned as I felt the Phazon recoil at something it hadn't counted on encountering as it began its casual procedural take over my body. It encountered true magic and it didn't like that as I felt the blue Phazon brighten as it drew on more strength to suppress the titanic weight of my Guardian's strength.
My Guardian had absorbed the Darkness Pits of Remnant that spawned countless Grimm. It had taken upon the concept of divine darkness from the taint that the Brother God of Darkness left upon Remnant and that complete void was something that even Phazon couldn't infect. But like the darkness between cracks in all things, darkness was able to seep in. And with my semblance of Gap manipulation, I was able to do something great.
I broke the connection the Phazon within myself, had with the core hive mind. And made the Phazon mine. Making myself more than just human with the conquered Phazon seeping from my body and via my control and the Guardian's weight the Phazon was forced into the deep recesses of my body, within my very magic and I was back within control.
"Are you ok?" Samus asked as I finally reopened my eyes and I realized while in my struggle to take back my control, I had somehow knocked off my own helmet so I couldn't hear White or anyone else.
But in that moment as Samus was hovering over me, obviously beside herself with worry and guilt I still felt... Yeah I was still pissy at her so with having clearly dismissed her Phazon suit and was in her Zero Suit but colored silver and red with the taint of Phazon being subdued by the hyper Advanced Chozo suit she wore, I got my revenge.
"Ow!" Samus screamed as I gave her spandex-like covered titty hanging right in my face a good twist! Fucking give me a space aid and not let me even get to touch some titty... I will have my recompense!

Just take it, Samus, its a Noble sacrifice your making considering the alternative is facing the wrath of androids doing much worse.
