Lately, I've been experimenting with ways to optimize the style of my comic so I can finish chapters in less time. It’s still a work in progress, but I wanted to give you a sneak peek of how it's coming along.
The optimized style took me around 15 minutes, while the original took 40 minutes. As you can see, the lineart in the optimized version has more of a "sketchy", freehand look.
What do you think of the optimized style? 👀

Personally I like more refined lineart, the panel seems more.. finished? However I also understand the second option and searching for a style that saves time.. It's hard to say which is better

I personally really like a more sketchy look when it comes to art, It gives it a more organic sort of feel to it. I've followed one other web comic artist and they do a sketchy look with most of the panels but have a very rendered panel occasionally if they really want to convey importance on an emotion or scene. Im not an expert on comics but its my personal opinion and what ive seen others do :)
