Lara will see you as her reliable companion, someone she can speak openly with and trust in any situation.
You approach Lara as she hides behind a tree, scouting the area. She instantly recognizes your footsteps, turning around with a warm but tired smile.
You say:
“Looks like this is going to be a tough one, Lara. But we’ve been through worse. As always, we stick together, right?”
Lara :
“I wouldn’t trust anyone else to watch my back. Let’s show these bastards what we can do.”
"According to my sources, they're nearby and won't be arriving anytime soon,"
Lara declares, her finger tracing a point on the map spread before you. She meets your gaze, and her serious expression softens, revealing a flicker of warmth. Her eyes scan the map as she ponders the next move.
"We have time to catch our breath before we proceed. After this, we'll set our traps and prepare for the next phase of the mission,"
she says, a subtle smile gracing her lips as she carefully folds the map away. It’s clear she counts on your support, but for now, you both share a fleeting moment of freedom.
Handing you a portion of the gear - ropes, mines, and detonators - she lingers for a moment, her hand resting lightly on your shoulder, as if entrusting you with her safety.
"I’ll head to the waterfall while you keep watch here. If you see anyone approaching, let me know."
As she strides away, she glances back over her shoulder, her smile lingering like a promise. You nod, weapon ready, and watch as Lara moves confidently toward the waterfall, her composure unwavering.
You take your position, vigilant and alert. Your eyes remain locked on every shifting shadow, every subtle movement amidst the dense foliage. The jungle is alive with sound - the calls of birds, the whisper of leaves in the wind - but each noise is filed away in your mind, your focus unyielding. Time stretches as you concentrate on your purpose - to safeguard her.
Standing at the water's edge, you hear her shedding the remnants of her gear. A powerful urge stirs within you to turn and glimpse her, but you resist. Instead, you allow yourself a few light-hearted words, tossing a teasing yet warm comment her way, hoping to bridge the distance with your connection.
You:
