i am still working hard on that Frost update, and The New Fantasy Harem.
Let me show you what happend the last few weeks!
Some of the images here i earlier posted on the DIscord, if you are interested in a particular feature or character you can ALWAYS write me at Discord or better yet a private message.
But lets begin with:
The New Fantasy Harem
I worked primarily on the environments and implementing the new and remastered Feline models, i won't show you all of the environment content because i feel it is the most fun if you explore it yourself and i can surprise you with those new places.
But that you can get a feel on what i am doing let me share this asset with you,
It's a Stair that will be placed in the Pryramid (Mirages hiding place) where the game now begins.
I still have to do a bit of work on this environment, as making some dead plants and some textures.
The new palace (same as 0.8) but with a private area upstairs is now finished, there is also a new Huuuuge Bed that allows you to have up to 4 felines at the same time cuddling with you, and the old smaller Heart bed from 0.1 and 0.3 will come back.
Right now i am aiming on realeasing a bit smaller version of Harem that only will feature you as Human and some Felines in a smaller environment.
I like to do this because this means you will get a new playable version much sooner also you get to experience my new Framework and the new and Remastered kitties!
About Remastered Kitties:
They got a new Throat and Tounge Model and shader with Sub surface scattering, 0_O
They also have a new Model, that looks nearly identical as in 0.8, but allows to share different sizes and head shapes
This will allow you to mix and match your Purrfect (pun intended) feline with three different sizes, every size has its own Animation set (as in 0.8) but now with the freedom to also have a Big Lion or Big Panther or a Small Tiger.
One nice feature this brings is the possibility of Ligers and Tigons, and even sabertooth tigers (as soon as i made those big teeth)
Things missing for release:
- Updating the Palace (~99% Done)
- Updating the Town (~50% Done)
- Redo some Animations i was not happy with (~80% Done)
- Add the first Quest (The Lion Queen) (Artwork ~100% Done) (Implementation ~20% Done)
Now to
Frost:
I continued working on the next Update doing some really needed Bugfixes, the Bugfixes are done, but i like to have better ending for the minigame, and also show you how things now work with my new Framework.
So i added the Wolfes and a nice scene with them for you to enjoy,
it now does not end with Maru the Redfox, after that night you meet the Wolfes:
(i gave them Capes that hides them in the snow and keeps them warm see video above)
I really wanna give every character fitting clothing,
especially for the evil main character, the Snowtiger witch. >3

After that scene i like you to have a bit space to explore yourself so the Minigame version does not end so fast.
and if you run away too far, ther won't be a invisible wall, you will be catched and carried back to the wolf camp

With the Next release of Frost, it will be aviable for all patrons, as i then will consider it beta and all game breaking bugs are fixed (hopefully)
Still missing for release
- Wolf Tent Animations (~60% Done)
- Fixing game breaking bugs (100% Done)
- Adding new needed animations for Redfox Maru (100% Done)
- After Game content/Freeroam (80% Done)
You can see i am nearly done with that update yay :3
Next
Minigames:
Pony Wall Public use
Due to high demand i will release that Pony Wall Public use game as a Minigame pretty soon, i wanted to have it in Harem as easteregg in the Ponyarcade but so many of you like to see your submitted "scratches" (thanks to everyone who has sended one in)
I still need to add a few things to make it run as standalone game:
- Code to make it standalone (~80%)
- Animations (100%)
- Sound effects (80%)
- Other stuff like polish and ui (50%)
i also have found someone who is willing to record a video using this scene with some advanced effects like Depth fur shadows and convolution bloom as well as supersampling of the fur. Hopefully next time i can share a very nice looking video using this scene with youโฅ
Now to,
Technical Stuff:
Some of you said that my characters are sometimes a bit too thin for their taste, and i am 100% with you on that.
Thats why i added a feature that now will syncronize the body to the Cloth of the character,
you see here:
Please have in mind that this is the Skin layer of that character and Fur adds much volume to everything.
Also the new Fur shader i mentioned last time is done!

it now looks better, and each hair is interpolated, it now has its own depth pass which allows for some nice effects like custom Depth of field and better reflections using a cubemap as Rendertarget updated in shader.
This also makes it a bit faster to run than the old technique, i really hope this will give some of you a bit better framerate and also a cleaner next gen look.
And finally
Animation:
One thing i like to try is creating something called a "Control Rig", its a Beta plugin that allows for Animation directly in engine with Level sequences, this would mean i can create new animations much much faster and do necessary changes way easier.
I hope it will work and next time i can show you what i mean with this, it also may allow you yourself to also create your very own animation and poses directly ingame.

Now that you say it I see it too ๐ธ reduced her '' pulse'' variable that controls how fast she breathes. I like to have it so it makes her breath faster when she moves and slower when idling, always glad for some feedback that helps find those magic numbers that feel right ๐ฆ

I really love that scene, and canโt wait to see more progress <3 the only thing i find a bitt off is her breathing movement. I think it is a bit too fast and looks like she was running until that moment. I think it would look more natural if it were slower while she just stands there :)

you are not the only one requesting this feature, i like the idea, at the moment it is not in the design document for frost, but i could imagine adding a optional breastfeeding feature, it would most certainly fit right in there with those cuddle scenes and pregnancy. Everyone that also would like to see Breast feeding please like Jukesโฅ comment! ๐ผ๐ผ๐ผ

Not sure if this is niche, but that scene of the big girl carrying the human guy made me REALLY hopeful that there might be a breastfeeding scene? Something along those lines? Looking really good so far, still cant wait for the release
